  1. There's a confirmation page for the DS-260. I didn't have to submit so have no idea if u can go back to it.

Anyone else. Go ask on the NVC filers thread sorry.

Personally I have heard people say they took it but haven't heard anyone delayed because they didn't have it. I mean they know you submitted it i guess they want to make sure its you.

Thank you again! I should have printed them out earlier. I'll try to find the application page again. My interview is tomorrow, I'm excited. :)

  2. Hi everyone, I have a question about the documents list for the interview. Sorry if someone made the same question before..

Below is my copy of the letter.

If the code says F, I don't have to prepare for it, right?

Also, if the code says O, do I still have to bring a photocopy of the document? I've sent my original birth certificate to NVC, so I cannot make a photocopy of it.

Thank you so much in advance!

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not you submitted them to the

NVC. Please note that even though you may have provided the NVC with a copy of a document, you are

still required to bring the original document to the visa interview.

Refer to the Document Status Code Definitions on Page 3 to determine the meaning of the document status

    codes.

  3. Hey msc13, I'm in Sydney, although currently I'm in Philly with my husband for my brother-in-laws wedding. Yes that's correct you won't get a checklist until after you submit your IV documents. So Singapore and HK make you wait until you have a checklist from NVC before you can apply for you police certificates? In that case that will add considerable time onto your process, so my advice would be to get everything ready to send as soon as you get the checklist. My UK police cert only took around 2 weeks mind, which I thought was crazy fast and that included it being sent snail mail to and from the UK. i would hope that Singapore and HK would have reasonably fast turnaround times too? I actually don't know where my Australian police cert is because I applied at the local police station and they really didn't have a clue about what I was asking for or where to send it etc, so I'm not even sure if it will ever get to the consulate in Sydney! They will laugh at me when I go back and tell them I have to get my fingerprints done by them! They think I'm a crazy US visa lady already!!

Hi Donkey81, I live in Sydney as well. I asked Sydney Consulate about the police check before. They said I didn't need the fingerprint check, just the name check. I did it at a local police office, and requested to send me here. Then I included it in the IV package. I didn't have any checklists with it. Have you asked the consulate about the police check?

  4. Anyone else hear this ridiculousness. Just got off the phone with an extremely rude NVC operator asking why my AOS fee still says in process and he claims you absolutely have to use internet explorer if not it will never process and if the money was pulled out of the account you have to send a copy of your bank statement to the nvcinquiry email showing that it was pulled out.

I'm i the only one this happened to?

Although I knew IE was recommended from other people, my husband used Google Chrome for paying both fees(AOS and IV), but there was no problem. Our IV fee took two days to be "PAID". AOS took a bit longer than that.

  5. Hi all, I'm filling D-260 now. There is a qustion " have you had any US visa before". I had a Green Card (spouse visa, category IR6) through my husband until we moved to Australia 7 years ago. On D-260, they have no category specified to choose IR6 which was stated on my Green Card. On the list, there is "Spouse of US citizen(K3) " to choose, but mine was not K3. Should I choose K3 one, or "other immigrant visa" which is also on the category list? Does enyone had a spouse visa before?

    Thanks!

  6. Just checking in.. NVC received our case Jan 24 and just today March 5 we got case numbers. My husband and I are feeling very flat about it all, every step for us seems to be taking the longest possible time. I'm dreading getting to the point where it's time to have my interview scheduled. So afraid that it'll be something like another 10 week wait or something..

Has anyone noticed how quick Sydney are scheduling interviews? When I look at the charts it really doesn't look like good news..

Hi jajaju, I just went to US consulate Sydney for renewing my daughter's US passport two days ago. I said we are on a process getting Green Card, and asked that question. A nice lady at the visa section said once our files arrive at the consulate from NVC, it would be quick. They are not busy. :)
