Let us know how they get on.
My dad is a US Citizen, so he applied for them and they have been approved, but their Priority Date is still way out here.

My sisters have a pending immigrant visa application (F1 Case: Unmarried sons and daughters of US Citizens) with a priority date of May 2010. I have my wedding coming up in August 2015 and I really want them to be there. is there an exception or a policy that can grant my sisters a temporary visitor's Visa to attend my wedding pending their immigrant Visa application. They are both based in Nigeria and working there as well.

Is there no exception to the rule on emergency grounds, such as seeing one's sick relative, weddings, birthdays and all. It's annoying you can't even come to visit.

Hello All, my sisters have been approved and a case # assigned for F1 Case ((F1) Unmarried Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens) with a priority date of May 17th, 2010. Currently waiting for a Visa Number which might take additional 3 years to reach them based on current PRD. My question to the group is there any way they can visit and attend my wedding in August 2015. Has anyone encounter this issue and able to visit prior to reaching the PRD. Looking forward to your suggestions.
In summary, can you visit the U.S and attend a wedding with a pending immigrant Visa application?

If this is your first time entering the US, you will have to go to the waiting room and they will check your paper work, medical and check your luggage. It usually take an hour to two hours depending on the traffic. Your connecting should be at least 3hours after your Arrival to the US, so you have enough time to pass through customs

Okay thanks, will go ahead and try that and hope for the best.

10 pictures should be sufficient, likewise the phone log, passports and all. You just want something to prove the relationship is genuine. And be very detailed in your question 36. Once they believe relationship is genuine, you should be fine....So you don't need to send too much lol

Thanks for the response. My other question is, hope multiple denials wouldn't affect their I-130 application?

Hello I need advise and suggestions please. My dad who is now a US Citizen petitioned for my sisters using the I-130 form, he filed May 2010, the application is still pending and from the rate the Visa Bulletin is moving for Category F1 it will take additional 6years before they can arrive at the US I think. I will like to know if they can visit the United States with the application pending and how can they go about it.
Can they apply for a Tourist Visa (B1/B2) or which Visa type should they apply for?
My sisters are both working in Nigeria and one of them already have kids. My parents, younger sister and I have been in the US now since 2006, and both of my sisters have been unable to come visit.
Will appreciate all the suggestions I can get, especially from people in the same predicament as us.

I understand, they will be applying for the Visitor's VISA anyways. I was just trying to see if there is a way to bolster their case for a temporary Visitor's Visa
Yes a temporary Visa to attend my wedding before it reaches their priority date which at the current pace might be 2017/2018
