  2. I tried to apply for my 9yr olds US passport (to get over the border easier). It request a SS#. I don't have one for my youngest child yet. It says they can fine us if we apply for a passport without the SS#. Any comments, or do I just need to get this SS first. Running out of time and was going to go the US consulate and have the passport processed because we need them in time for the move in July.

I applied for my son's passport without SSN.... Just put "0" ( zeros ) in the box.

Then u can apply SSN when u arrive in the US.

  3. My fiance has successfully entered into the US on a K1 Visa. The thing I'm worried about is that when she went through customs in the airport upon entry, they never issued her an I-94 form they just stamped her passport and let her enter. So my question is are they not issuing I-94s anymore? On Visa Journey it says you need a copy of it front and back for when you submit your package for the Green Card, but I'm wondering if that info is outdated.

Has anyone experienced entering the US without getting one of these on a K1 Visa?

    U can get i-94 online.

Bear contacted me from home via Skype about 20 min ago. Sorry we have been dancing and celebrating.

I want to FAITHFULLY THANK God first for answering our prayers to bring us together.

I want to GRATEFULLY express my sincere appreciation to my friend Dennis Bounds for doing a 24 hour fast with me from Tuesday night to Wednesday night to ask God for his blessing on the interview and to give Bear the strength, guidance, support, and calming of nerves to Bear during the interview.

I want to express a BIG THANKS to the VJ Web site for all the insightful guidance and information free of charge. I still cannot believe one cannot make a donation to the web master for site support.

I want to express a Warm Thanks to Bourey Peatnut for his help, support, and overall good nature to ALL couples going through the K-1 Visa Process. He is a welcomed party in many persons life. Bourey, I will get with you to work out the details for sending you and your wife to dinner in your home town.

I want to give a moment of silence for the appreciation I feel toward the members of the all the following Facebook groups who have helped me out today / tonight with their thoughtful, encouraging, and welcomed comments to both Bear and I. 6. Hi guys,

    Hope you could help us.

Year 2009 i was petitioned by my ex fiance. He abandoned me on 2010 after doing medical and never went for embassy interview, never seen each other since then.

Year 2011 my present fiance filed another k1 and did interview on march 2012. The CO said they need to return those 2 petitions since i have two active petitions.

March 2013, we got email from uscis that my latest petition with my present fiance already expired and may choose to file a new k1. So we filed a new petition (now 2nd petition with my present) last May 2013 and got approval this November and waiting for interview at the embassy on march 2014.

We are praying it will be okay this time.

But i still have questions like:

Does the first petition automatically terminated? I just know it was returned first by the embassy to uscis.

    What do u think guys?

Your ex fiance has to call uscis and withdraw the petition or otherwise it's still active in their system

  7. Hello everyone..I know i posted before about my daughter crba and passport. This afternoon the american consul called me and asking me to send my husband(usc) us passport but unfortunately my husband went back to hawaii. She told me she want to see his passport again due to some error or problem on their system i forgot the exact word she said. I hope after this they will approve my daughter crba and passport. This morning i just called the courier to pick up the proof of parent's relationship prior to the conception and they scheduled it to pick up on wednesday. I just want to share this so that if you apply for your child crba and passport make sure you have all the requirements and bring everything. In our case im with my husband during the interview we gave his original passport and photo copies but unfortunately they want to see that again. Now im waiting my brother inlaw because he will bring my husband passport when he visit his wife on dec.28. I hope and pray everything will be okay soon.

They must have lost ur husband passport copy :-) anyway, u can send them again and Im sure everything will be okay. They just need the document to complete the requirements.

  8. We got our NOA2 Oct 15th and had been calling NVC for case number at least twic a week but they told us that they have not received our file yet from USCIS so the supervisor adviced my fiancée to call USCIS she called them today and spoke to a supervisor who told her that our file has been sent to the consulate directly without going through NVC. Is that normal? Had anybody experienced this before? Is almost 2 months since we got approved and I heard the petition is only valid for 4 months from the date of approval. Please I will like to know if anyone had experience this in the past. Thanks every one.

I think all approved petition will be sent to NVC. Keep calling NVC again and if you are lucky u get answer from someone who really doing their job!

  9. Joan is officially a Legal Permanent Resident of the United States of America! Green card in production!

    Card/ Document Production

On November 26, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at...

The interview was fast, easy and very pleasant. More "Hawaii kine 'talk story'" than an interview. I think we spent more time talking about Filipino food recipes than we did going through the packets! NO question or comment about any Civil Surgeon or vaccination form! She noticed that we included a printout from the USCIS website with the instructions for people adjusting from K1 (see below). The interviewer did mention/confirm that Joan had her medical in the Philippines within the year, but did not ask about the I-693. She went through some photos (not all of them) and asked how we met and when we started to talk about getting married. She thumbed through our entire packet including the original I-129F checking and verifying information (no need to bring it--it is there!) and she did ask if we wanted to add any documents to the file. We gave her a joint bank account statement, evidence that Joan is insured under my job, and proof that she is my equity and life insurance beneficiary. She commented that these are the kind of documents that we will need when we file for Removal of Conditions in two years--so we knew we were approved before she told us! She asked very basic questions--the usual ones--when, how, where did you meet; where was the wedding; was it religious; where was the reception; how many people were there; what do we do together (we said watch movies at home, eat together, go to the beach, go to Wahine Volleyball games--had a photo of Joan at the Stan Sheriff Center)--photography, etc.). She then had us sign some forms and told us that she was approving us and to file our ROC 90 days before the two year window expires. She also told us that Joan could file for citizenship three years from today! We were back in the car within an hour.

This was the printout that we included with our I-3025:

    3. What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and already had a medical exam overseas?

If you were admitted as a:

    a. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e); or as a

    b. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen; and

    c. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then:

    (1) You are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination, and the medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition, or if you did have a Class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility and have complied with the terms and conditions on the waiver.

    (2) Even if a new medical examination is not required, you must still show proof that you complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you are required to submit the vaccination record and page 1 of Form I-693.

Thank u so much for the info! Congrats

  10. You need to be patient. You cannot rush the embassy to issue your daughter's visa. Good luck! Just count your blessings not your troubles.

I am thankful for the blessings we have...and definitely not rushing the embassy to issue the visa....im just frustrated, worried and just expressing my feelings! And yes, i have to be patient, thank you.

Btw, our visa is issued few minutes after i post this.
