  1. There's only not even 1% of the May filers registered here on VJ. Maybe 0.2%? I took my time and checked all those April+May+June filers on USCIS with the receipt numbers. (Yeah I did really) I didn't see a lot approval for April but I saw a lot of approvals for May and many of them were approved in July, August, September. Doesn't it mean it is coming towards us June filers? dancin5hr.gif

I wish this were true (May 6 PD here), but when I look at the numbers around my MSC number I see next to no approvals. And I have checked quite a few as well.

  2. I submitted a request for an inquiry of my case to the senators office on Thursday last week. Here is the response i Received today... ONLY 3 WORKING DAYS LATER...

After a review of our systems is was found that Case MSC 13 909 XXXXX, Form I-130 filed on behalf of XXXXXXXX is currently pending. NBC continues to receive I-130s and ship them to the field for adjudication. Based on the current volume of pending immigrant visa petitions, our current processing time for I-130s is approximately 6 months from the date of this response.

NBC will review and adjudicate I-130 Immediate Relative requests for expedite (if the file is located at the NBC.) If you request your case be expedited the case will need meet USCIS expedite criteria. All expedite requests must be accompanied by supporting documents that demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. Information regarding the expedite criteria can be found at the link below.

    I hope this information helps.

BTW...Today is the date of the response.... The last response stated a 12 months waiting period. Today it states 6 months from the date of this response. The 12th of September will be 5 months in process. So what is the friggin difference??? And I still can't find out where my file is.

sigh....thanks for the update, lovemytico. i keep thinking i should pester my USC husband to follow up with the congressman and senator inquiries we made in august, but when i see things like this it does start to seem pretty pointless.

  3. Hi guys,

Fellow May filer here. Just thought I would update you as we wrote to our congressman's immigration aide about the near-complete inaction at NBC (other than processing filers from abroad) and how unfair it was that 1-129F fiancee approvals were flying out of the other service centers in the meantime.

The aide wrote back to say they had hired new adjudicators at NBC. That was all my husband said she said. So I guess they really are just holding all of the files in an ever increasing pile while they slowly get themselves ready to actually do some work on them. Eventually.

I think a similar thing happened at CSC earlier this year with fiancee visas, and as we have seen, the files did move quickly once the adjudicators started working on them.

Fingers crossed they finish their training soon!!!

  4. Tier 1..

I can not see your personal information only basic things.. I said what is a tier 2.. He said tier 2 has access to that but doesn't have access to what stage your application is at.. I said ohh it would be fun to talk to tier 2 go ahead and transfer me smile.png

    Then talked to tier 2...

    1. Weather in California is great

    2. Processing times are 6-9 months right now because NBC is majorly backed up

    3. My application will not go to local field office unless I need a interview

    4. My service request process time is 3-4 months (I filed it April 10th) and it is running late also

I had some other questions about name changes blah blah because we filed before all was done.,. He told me to quit worrying that I have nothing to worry about..

Then said have great day.. Hugs and kisses..

Joking he didn't give me hugs n kisses.. Maybe on the next call! Haha

Thanks very much TimandAna for this update and for your humour. dancin5hr.gif

Every time somebody calls they give a different answer!!!

  5. I called yesterday and spoke to a tier 2 IO and he said that my petition was touched sometime in the middle of this month and that I should call back August 16th. I'm a USC in Maryland and my husband is abroad. I'm hoping that this is a good sign that we should start seeing approvals in August. My Date is MAy 16th

BTW, he said he was telling me the information because he didn't want me to think that my file is just laying on someone's desk. lol He must have been reading my mind. SMH

    Hi Mrs. Parker,

Thanks very much for posting this news. It's the best news I have heard on VJ in quite some time. I am also a May filer (May 7).

I did notice that a few petitions ahead of mine and behind mine had had the update "On July 2, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed." (not necessarily all that date) so I thought they might see an approval soon, however I assumed they were filing from abroad.

Good luck to us all!!! luv.gif

My friend who went through this process sent me this quote today:

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” Paulo Coelho

Let's try to think positive and pray for some action from NBC soon!

  6. K-3's are pretty much done and overwith. If you file one, it will join up with the I-130 and that could slow things down. they will get approved together and then the K-3 will get cancelled. Waste of time these days. Its free to file, but IMO, might slow things down .

Thanks LoveMyTico (great username!!!). If only they sent them somewhere different to be processed, then they might have a fighting chance!!! protest6wz.gif

  7. When I first thought about it I looked at both..

    Fiancé visa .. 6 months

    Wife visa .. 8 months

I saw price and paperwork and thought ohh the wife visa easier and cheaper also it only 2 more month wait no big deal..

Now I can really go crazy hearing 12 months, 14 months, maybe 2 years for us to be able to live together..

If you don't laugh then you got to cry.. I have just about decided sell everything here and just move to her.. I want children and start my family so much.. It all I dream about every day

You're right, you're right. It does seem like things change all the time with USCIS though. Maybe once CSC has caught up to the point of same-day fiancee visa approvals, they will be able to take on I-130s again!!! idea9dv.gif

*Insert name of your preferred higher power here* help us all!!! ClockWatch2.gif

  8. Hi guys, early May filer here...yes, I am getting really depressed too, as I actually got married because at the time K1s were going nowhere (and we had already sent ours in, and it would have been approved by now).

My husband pointed out that USCIS seems to be able to handle only pumping out one petition at a time. Right now they are focusing on K1s. Hopefully our time will come soon!!!

It's hard to keep our spirits up when NOTHING seems to be happening at NBC cray5ol.gif

  9. Thanks for the update, KP & SP.

Well your local office is completing a lot of cases in a month it looks like so that is encouraging I think.

    My local office says

    pending 128

    completed 24

    receipts 51

I find it encouraging that they do not seem to have a high volume at least, even though they are not keeping up with receipts.

Hope we all see some action soon!!! I think everybody might be on holiday right now at USCIS... cray5ol.gif

  10. We called at the one month and 6 week mark and were told the same thing...hate to be the bearer of bad news but I saw this on another thread yesterday:

    Posted 25 June 2013 - 04:53 PM
This is an e-mail sent to my congressman's office regarding my I-130. When would they send the file to my local office...who knows? Anybody have any idea how long they been holding the standalone I-130 at NBC?
    Good afternoon Susan,
All emails are targeted for completion within five days of receipt. We are aware that you are receiving an answer to your inquiry past the five day mark, and appreciate your patience.
Thank you for your inquiry regarding XXXXXXX’s Form I130 petition. This case was received in our office on 03/08/2013. At this time, the stand-alone Immediate Relative Form I130 petitions are being sent to the NBC for transition to the local field office of jurisdiction. However, due to the high volume of applications, these cases are currently being held at the NBC until further notice.
Again we would like to thank you for your inquiry and please let us know if we may assist with any other concerns,

  11. HI Karen,

I have a VERY similar case to yours except we didn't file for a K3 as well (Canadian beneficiary, SF field office). I have been obsessing over how long it will take to get a NOA2 as well (San Francisco field office) and from what I have been able to ascertain (using Igor's List) is that NBC seems to be processing February 1-130s now, so if that pace continues we're looking at a four month wait for a NOA2. My husband spoke to a Tier 2 on Monday (about a month after our NOA1 date) and they said the case was still at NBC. Someone on here said they don't always send them to the field offices, just when their workload is too heavy. Someone else said they might not send them until the 2 month mark. The SF field office does not seem to be too bad from what I have been able to tell by looking at others on here who marked their profile with it. (and by looking at the data on the USCIS website. they do not seem to have many I-130 files there). My husband is going to call every two weeks for an update, and if it gets sent to the field office I want him to do an Infopass to get more information.

The good news is the Montreal consulate seems to be booking interviews quite quickly right now once you get case complete at NVC.

I am following your timeline now, I suggest you do the same with me. PM me if you have any questions!!!

P.S. Congratulations on your wedding dancin5hr.gif
