  1. My medical RFE was mailed April 9 just a few days BEFORE my AOS turns a year old april 16. I was to submit the RFE back until JULY 9. My medical appointment was may 14,2015 and i had some vaccines given to me so i had to wait for the results and they will jist have to mail me the sealed envelope from my civil surgeon. And while im waiting for that to come USCIS approved my renewed EAD. Oh and i paid $$497 for that medical coz they need to give me syphilis vaccine, tb screening, varicella vaccine and charge to get my blood drawn. It wasnt funny at all.

  2. First, Congrats to all who got approved! :dancing:

Second, last march 3, i sent an SR and their reply was my husbands case is still at NBC... so after a month, April 3rd, i sent another SR and their reply was waiting my inquiry to be assigned to a representative and no further updates after that...

So, today we checked our mail, and we received an RFE letter dated April 3rd! I am so disappointed and all! and now my husbands medical and vaccination is expired, well of course since we've been waiting for so long, few more days and it's a year since we submitted the I-485.. that's not out fault! And plus, i have a copy of what i sent to them and i did send all those.. Aarrgh! Am so upset!

Anyway, here's a copy of our letter!

Does my husband have to do the whole medical again?? or just the vaccination record??

What other evidence can we provide?? Pls. Help!

    Thanks!

Im waiting for my RFE in the mail. Im positive im getting the same paper like you did.

  3. I thought it would be helpful to share our case history. You will be able to see the numerous, useless service requests that USCIS opened for us and sent to El Paso, TX. The application was never in El Paso, TX. We experienced the same long waits to get information from the service requests. My best guess is that the El Paso, TX field office received these requests, and instead of being forthright and honest about the application not being in their office, they would just reply with their usual reply or sorry for delays, blah blah blah. This is happening to many of us waiting of these service requests to be answered. The incompetence of USCIS to send a service request to a location they know is incorrect is unacceptable. It was not until a service request was finally sent to NBC and not El Paso on March 27th, that my wife's application was moved to Harlingen, TX. That service request was opened on March 27th and closed March 28th. I don't think the majority of people at USCIS have a clue as to what is going on. All these useless service requests that are being opened are just causing more and more delays while they figure out that the application is not at that office. This is very frustrating even now that my wife has been approved. I can't stand to see this continue to happen, and I will do as much as I can to help all of you.

    How to process expedite?

  4. you applied in last April ,so it has been a whole year for you .I can't believe they said they can't do anything about yours .That is insane .Even if things go like USCIS claimed that it will take 9-12 months to get GC since your NOA date ,you already passed that .Did you try to contact congressman or ombudsman ?

i did do the ombudsman form thing that natonsan advised but no response from them after it was sent. I emailed them and ombudsman responded me with this:

Thank you for your email. Your case is currently undergoing review and assignment to an analyst. Once assigned to an analyst, the case will be reviewed and well work towards a means to resolving the difficulties youve encountered.

    Sincerely,

    Office of the CIS Ombudsman

  5. This is a sad reality for us both. We have identical dates. I have not checked the mail for the biometrics appointment. I'm going to have to make time from work to take my wife to the appointment when it comes. This is all so very inconvenient for all of us. I know it is hard to stay positive, especially when not even USCIS themselves will provide accurate information and they don't seem to care about us waiting for close to a year already.

True. But what can we do? We all just have to wait. This is a game for people who has the longest patience. I broke down. USCIS wins

  6. Don't give up hope yet, it might mean your card goes into production, it most certainly means they know your card is out of processing times. Have you contacted the ombudsman yet? If so I would certainly go down that route to nudge them into the right direction. I am sure your GC will go into production before you go for that EAD renewal! Positive vibes on the way for you!

    Thank you Shell.

I already did the ombudsman almost 2 weeks ago never got a response from them. Im making my 3rd SR today if that is still going to matter.

  7. It means some one just looked at your case and is about to give you a reply. Hopefully it will be a production of a GC, but it could mean an answer of more delays.....

This is breaking me. My AOS is APRIL 16 and NPIW JULY 29. I now have a biometrics appointment for my EAD renewal on APRIL 8. I had to request leave from work for that day coz we need to drive 2 hours to go to their office. This is a very veru sad story.

  8. So I just realized at the top of my service request it now shows the Vermont Service Center. I was never notified that it was transferred from the NBC to Vermont. I guess this means we might be scheduled for an Interview soon! Disheartening after waiting for a year. Hoping to hear some news soon! Has anyone been transferred to a field office, or service center nearby / approved without an interview? From what I can see most of the time it ends with an Interview if you are transferred to a field office / service center like Vermont.

How dis you check your service request status? Im having trouble checkin mine. Please help
