Finally I got my green card already after 2 months & 5 days since my biometrics appointment. Everything is correct with my card now.
-
Just an update guy's. As of today Nov 7 - card production. And I will receive my new card within 30 days.. Iiiiii I'm glad I don't have to wait any longer.
-
What's the date of your approval? It should say "card production" soon.
My biometrics was Sep 5 and my approval date was Nov 3. It's 2 months exactly.. Well see how long I need to wait for card production status.
-
Yay! That's fast for you.
Yeah i hope I won't need to wait for 8 months.
-
I just checked my husbands case status, and it moved to post decision as of Nov3rd. Hopefully soon he gets his card.
Hi, after reading your comment I immediately check my status and it's post decision activity too. We'll yeah, hoping for card production very soon. keep me posted.

Wow 8 months!!! My husbands last name (RAMIREZ) was spelled wrong (RAMEIRZ). They really need to double check the work. It's very time consuming to have to send supporting documents to show that the error was theirs and not ours. He had his bio appointment on 9/18. So I guess now we wait the 8 months for the card to be issued?
yes that's correct. Yeah I know it really sucks! but we need to comply with them in order to process everything. grrrrr! that's all we can do. They told me that it may take up to 8 months maximum so who knows there's a miracle and will take only a few months.. we'll see. I'll keep this post updated.

Hi pals, just happy because I already have my state ID just now.. at least I'm not an alien in the US anymore. I mean not having any identification card in this country. So I'm not worried anymore even if I don't have my GC and I don't have to carry my passport with me anywhere I go . So the processing time of state ID in San Diego is 60 days.

Well it's not normal but in St. Lukes yeah it is pretty normal since they ran out of stock most of the time. It happened to me and went back there for the vaccination and paid 500 pesos additional for the pregnancy test since it was needed for the remaining vaccine and because my pregnancy test then was already expired. Tell her to call St. Lukes if the vaccine is already available and make an appointment for the vaccination.

Wow, everything has changed since we filed ours last March. Well, it really depends on the workload and cases I guess. I'm surprised with the IV fee and medical fee as well. In your case you have to call NVC and the best time to call them is between 8-9pm, Philippine time. Good luck, you're getting closer.

My ssn has mary rose perez smith.Gc has mary r smith in front and smith<<<mary<<rose<<perez at the back.Im thinking they just shortened it?hehe
Yeah they just shortened it to save space. As long as your full name is showing correctly at the back there's no issue at all. Good for you. And if your ssn is showing your correct name, it means that's the name you have in your gc. Because of the error on my visa from USCIS that's why I need to use my combined first & middle name on my ssn. I'll correct the name on my ssn whenever I received my new gc.
-
Yeah I think there's no problem with your name. What about your ssn? Is it the same with your gc?

Ill be doing the i-90 soon as my first name is incomplete(have two first names) Mary Rose Perez Smith. They put Mary R instead of Mary Rose P.Tsk
Yeah it's ridiculous right. We have to wait again for their mistakes, and take note 8 months. grrrrr! Mine as well, combined first & middle name and wrong expiration date. But for my state ID, they put the right one but I'm still waiting for the ID, it's been a month since I applied. Patience is indeed a virtue.

Please check my signature below and my timeline as well.

Just an update guy's. Done with my biometrics last Friday (sep 5). Yeah as per the personnel who assisted me, waiting time is 8 months for my new card but not more than that. Grrrrrrrr! And I'm still waiting for my state ID as of this writing. And they didn't put any stamp on my passport.
-
The first card had no bio data on it. So I90 number 1 the new card arrived with a typo in the name ( that wasn't on the first card ) so new I 90 .
Sorry to hear that. They must review all the cards first before sending them out to avoid errors. It's better to wait longer for the right one than to process and wait again.
After filing an I-90 last December 10, 2013, The green Card finally showed up on July 26, 2014 just days before the I 751 window was to open.
A little more than 7 months to fix their error,
Best of Luck to you
Thank you for the info. I'll just wait then. Just applied for a state ID yesterday.

Yup bring your passport, marriage certificate and birth certificate (just in case).
I'm from LA.
Oh great! Few hours away. Anyways, thanks a lot. I'll give an updates soon. Have a great day!
-
Yeah, me too. I'm already working even before I got the stamp. For employment I showed my visa, photocopy of GC and CA driver's license.
Let's keep each other posted. Good luck to us.
Yeah right! I don't have a driver's license and I'm planning on applying a california state id this coming Friday. I'll just show them my visa and stamp right? I'm from san Diego, how about you?
-
They gave me until APRIL 2015, meaning I have until that date to receive the new corrected GC. The stamp also says "Employment Authorized".
Ah okay, I'm already working as of now and so far they don't have any question with my stamp so I'll find out what to do next once USCIS received my I-90 package. Thanks for your time.
-
Still in process. They gave me extension stamp until APRIL 2015.

I don't get it. I mean what's the expiration date of your stamp? Mine will be on May 2016 (2 years from now) so do I really have to make an info pass appointment?
-
I'm on the same boat. Filed i90 in May.
oh I just saw your signature and they texted you about the info pass or how? i included form g1145 for any updates once they received my documents.
-
It took us over a year to get a correct green card but we had 2 different errors. ( new card had different error than the first one )
really? wow. what's happening to them? so did you send another i-90? you're just showing your passport stamp if ever they need an evidence for your green card or did you also applied for a state id using your temporary green card?

what's the status so far? how did you make an info pass appointment?

Hi,
I need some inputs with my current situation. Got my permanent green card last month after 71 days of staying in the US. When I opened the mail I was so excited and was so surprised with the expiration date written on it. It's a 10-yr GC and an IR1 category. It's not the right information since I'm just a 2-yr conditional resident. Plus they combined my first name and my middle name as my first name so I don't have a middle name at all. I just sent my i-90 application with my original green card, copy of my marriage cert, passport and birth certificate to correct the errors they made.
my question is, how long do i have to wait to receive for the corrected green card? Though I have stamp on my passport that will expire on May 2016 and already have my ssn using the combined name. Just hate to think that I need to wait again. I just hope that I don't need to wait forever. Thanks for reading.

Open that link above and your questions will be answered. Yes you may apply for a new ssn card even without a green card. The stamp in your passport serves as your temporary greencard. Been there done that. I received my GC recently and it took 71 days for them to deliver it. Good luck!
