  1. I think just printing that out and highlighting the necessary stuff is ok. This all is secondary proof, what they really need is the proof you have met in person, which you have lots of :)

PS when I saw your post at first I thought, omg, Magic Jack, must be something about predicting the NOAs and stuff haha biggrin.png

  2. I also get alot of people asking if we have heard anything. I am content to wait till at least October before i start really wondering. We are also through Vancouver and my Fiance would love to be there for the interview but traveling back and forth just isn't cost effective when he doesn't get paid vacation. I could go down but we are saving up for the move and everything else. We will try and get at least one more visit in before the interview to add to the proof on ongoing relationship for the interview along with skype records. lol Is anyone else as bad as me and already have the forms for the packet three and 4 ready to go?

Haha, this is funny about the forms for packet 3 and 4! :-) thumbs up! I am still reading into the question but better be prepared earlier than later ;-) thanks to this forum it is easy to do!

  3. Hi everyone, I just finished my application. I will be sending it in on Tuesday!!!! Wish me luck!

    Hi All

We filed May 2013 so just missed the April month but it would be nice to get some support from the group through this long journey. Perhaps others who filed in May will follow. We filed the I-129f on the 02/05/2013 to Dallas lockbox with next day delivery via USPS. It was received and signed but we have not received a text or email yet for a NoA1 we should be directed to Vermont. So fingers crossed we here something in the next few days. Hope things move along within 6 months.

    Hi star_smile.gif

There is a thread for May filers on the forum, you may want to check it out as well :-) http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428269-may-2013-filers/

Although it is a good idea to keep an eye on both threads as we are going close to each other!

Good luck to us all on this journey!

  4. Because I have many months to go before my approval goes through and I'm just a little tired of all the whining on here about the service centers (I've been one of them too lol). I found this graph on the uscis.gov website and I thought I'd share in case you haven't come across it. This site (visa journey) only represents a fraction of applications being processed so when we see only approximately 3-5/day approvals out of Vermont, don't get discouraged. I added up all of their numbers for the I-129F from March 2012 to February 2013 (March and April aren't posted yet). Here's what I totaled:

Completed Applications on Average per Month: 2049

RFE's (or Awaiting Customer Action) on Average per Month: 1335

New Applications on Average per Month: 1906

It looks to me they are going through 3241 files a month and able to approve 2049.

If we take 3241 / 30 (days a month), they are on average doing 108 files a day. (We rarely see more than 5 approvals a day on here with the RFE's)

Another thing is the completion rate vs new applications is interesting. If there weren't so many RFE's, people would be with their fiance much sooner. In fact, VSC would be caught up and there wouldn't be a back log. I think they will reach their 5 month goal (at least I dream about it every day) and if you look at the next few months of applications they have to get through, it's not as many as the previous months. January alone they completed over 5000 cases! Things are looking up!

Hope you all liked these stats. Here's the link and you can see the numbers for yourself: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=6&charttype=1

Thank you for sharing this info! cool.png

Does it mean we are May fillers or can I stay in this group? tongue.png

    Congratulations! star_smile.gif

Wait till you get hard copy NOA1, the date might be earlier than that or the same :-) But anyways, glad you are with us now too!

    APRIL filer here!

    NOA 1 date: April 24, 2013

    CSC

    let's hope and pray for a bump-free & speedy approval! ?

    Fingers crossed! star_smile.gifrolleyes.gif

  6. It is hard to be away from our loved ones. I haven't been wtih my Fiance since Christmas and sometimes Skype, text and e-mail just doens't fill that need. We are debating another visit or save up so he can be here when I go for my interview then help me pack and move. It reallya ll depends on how long it all takes. We have the mind set that it could take another 6-9 months and aren't expecting anythign sooner, that way, if it does happen, it will be a blessing. I am probably one of the least patient people I know and it is torture sometimes but it helps to have all the support here.

The Alien Registration number means that your case was entered, thats about it. and if you don't get it till much later in the game then it tends to mean more but at this early stage of the game... no real meaning.

Welcome to all our new people. lets sit back and try to enjoy the ride, I think we have come to an agreement to try and be one of the first groups that doesn't gripe and complain about how long things will take. I know its hard but surely we can be a positive and supportive group.

Wise words! The processing times are so unpredictable, it may be long or it may be short, but it is better to really relax and enjoy the ride, thinking positive thoughts is important :-)

  7. Hi all, I am just starting to really use this site instead of just peek at it smile.png

I'm an April filer, but I didn't notice this thread at first, so I was reading the March filers- but, I guess that works too because I'm on the cusp. I filed 4/1, NOA1 on 4/9, but I did not get anything saying alien number changed. . . . is that only for petitioners not born in USA?

Anyway, I'm a VSC girl, so excited to not be waiting alone smile.png And, yes Hannah, ashe!

    ~T

    Hi, welcome to the thread.

No, alien registration number stuff is not connected to the petitioner's country of birth. In fact, it means nothing much. After reading a little deeper, I noticed though that filers at CSC get their alien registration number changed more often than VSC. I might be wrong but, in any case, there is nothing to be worried about.
