  1. Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding the visa process for a 2nd time filer with the same person.

Long story short our visa was approved and i moved to the US last september however due to a loss of a family member it was not the right time to get married.

I did not overstay and left the US without Violating my visa conditions, with the intent to file again later. We re filed in february 2014 and it appears USCIS is past february and working on cases for march and later (California service center) .

I was wondering if it is possible our case may take a little longer for processing because this is our second K-1 petition together, and if anybody who has filed with the same person twice has had a similar experience? could this be a cause for delay?

Any helpful info would be much appreciated :)

    Thanks all :)

  3. Hi all, my fiancé and I are trying to figure out how to contact the USCIS and speak to an actual person? we have tried calling the 1-800-375-5283 number but it is just an automated voice recording.. I was wondering how people here on vj get through to service reps and tier 2 reps and such? any help would be much appreciated :) . today is 8 months and 5 days for us and we are still yet to be approved..

    Thanks guys :)

  4. No disrespect, but this has been tried time and time again by probably thousands of people by now. I am only just now coming to the realisation that there really is nothing we CSC filers can do to speed up the process. Congress, senates, representatives they all do nothing to aid us in our battle against CSC. CSC is in control and there is just nothing we can do to change that. When our petitions for K1 visa are next in line then we will be approved. until then just ride it out and try not to stress about it....after all CSC isn't stressing about it

  5. So it appears that there has been 6 approvals in the last 2 days at CSC...it's great getting a little action from CSC finally....but out of the 6 approvals 2 were November filers and 3 were December filers....####### is going on CSC??? what happened to july/august/September/October??? it really blows my mind and makes me furious that Ive been waiting since August 20th and they're pulling December approvals out of their ####...how does that happen? does anybody have any idea as to how they would manage this? a method to their madness perhaps?

  6. know exactly how your all feeling, Im not far behind you guys as I am an august 20th filer and this is becoming ridiculous. Into the 7 month period now and USCIS approval is only the first stage of the process... How much longer CSC??? My mind is a little at ease knowing that there are other people going throught the same thing as my fiance and I.. But I still can't help but feel disappointed in CSC and their efforts. Have lost alot of respect for them as they do not even update their processing info, and tend to keep feeding us bulls###. Tired of being kept in the dark throughout this process and not knowing when we're going to be approved. For those of you in the same boat try to keep your chin up and stay positive. Sooner or later they will have to get their act together and process some K-1's ...You just might be next in line :)

  7. Alex&Amy is right. They processing Obama's_illegal_Children and put all others into backlog

I'm still waiting for Jul 29 submission

My point exactly...there are people such as yourself who are still waiting from mid-late july and it's becoming beyond a joke. the worst part is they don't update their processing info or keep us informed, nor are they easily contacted (which is useless anyway because it achieves nothing). We're just expected to be kept in the dark and sit and wait patiently for 7-8-9 months?... "Obama's_illegal_chinldren"..thats the "DREAM Act" or something right???

  8. So including today, it has been 217 days since receiving NOA1 on August 20th 2012...I still cannot believe how long this first step of the process is taking. At the time of filing the waiting time was 5.5 months...Not sure how many people know but USCIS Partially updated their dashboard website days ago (the page where u enter your case number to check status). The CSC average for I29-f went from 5.5 month processing to 6.6 months...which still does not even seem accurate considering i am now into 7 months, and there are people that filed long before me still waiting..

Anyway my point being, how much longer could it possibly take?? i mean 217 days and not a word? seriously... has anyone on vj had to wait 9 or 10 months for an approval or longer? I know nobody will have the answers as to how much longer this ridiculous process is going to take, but it would be interesting to see if anybody has had to wait more than 8-9-10 months just for NOA2?
