  1. Hello All,

I need some advice on my case.

After receiving a letter of denial. I filed the 290B for my wife and two kids. The lawyer told me that we only have to file for my wife since the kids are just dependent, and they will automatically be approved if the wife case is approved.

Well, to our big surprise, we received the green card and the permit for my wife, however, we have not received a green card for the kids.

When their cases were initially denied, we received a separate letter for each person, and I specifically told the lawyer about it but was stubborn that filing for each person is not needed.

We call the immigration, and they informed us that we will have to file a new 290B for each individual that was denied. We are planning to schedule an appointment at the local immigration office to find out if we have any other options since the children names were included in the initial filling.

    Please advice.

    Thanks!

  2. Do i have to attend the interview ? Is there a possibility for denial if i do not attend? My fiancee does not have a job, does it matter?

No she does have to have a job, nor for you to attend it.

Mon Fiance vienne just de faire son interview il ya moins d'une semaine, parle tres peu le Francais mais elle se debrouille, pas de boulot non plus.

Ne t'inquiete pas ca serai tres facile.

    Bonne Chance.

  3. Actually I'm on a different track, K-1. So those forms don't apply to my visa petition. Good luck on your process.

There is no embassy in my country (MALI) to process K1, she will have to go Senegal to get her visa. Nevertheless, it is going fast.

I m not sure whether having the Embassy matter or not, you can check my Timeline. The Embassy should received my document early next week.

    Good luck though!!

  4. Right ... at least in my opinion and observation (I could of course be wrong, and CSC is so messed up that no one really knows what's going on) ... those of you who got the "alien registration" already back in Nov/Dec, it was just the initial data entry and update. A lot of people got their hopes up but it turned out to be nothing.

BUT, those of us who did NOT get the "alien registration" message shortly after we first filed (and I haven't, mine still says "we received your petition, initial review"), will get it a day or two before the approval. There've been many people getting that recently from the December filers. I would take it as a good sign but not absolute!

I received the email on saturday, and i have never received this before. I will keep you update if any news.

  5. I just received this email from CSC that " On April 13, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)."

So I was wondering if this is a good news or just an update. I have read from previous VJ users that it is good sign if you have been waiting for few months (which in my case is 4 months and 3 weeks), not does mean anything if you have received the message in just few weeks from NOA1.

So can someone give me an insight from their experiences? Do they even work on Saturdays?

    Thanks
