Em&Sid got a reaction from Nonofurbusiness in April 2014 Interviews
I was also case complete March 21, and also got that e-mail early this morning. I'm hoping that means we'll see interview dates today or Monday, but who knows!
Good luck everyone!

Em&Sid got a reaction from Lisa y Miguel in NVC Filers - March 2014
Hi everyone! I haven't been on here much the last week or so, but wanted to pop in and say...
CASE COMPLETE!!!
I had called NVC last Thursday and nothing, and then called today as a matter of form, not expecting anything, because we hadn't hit the 3-week mark from when our checklist materials were received. But it turns out our case was completed on Friday!!
Now we just wait for our interview date - hoping we get it soon, so my husband can give notice at work before the 30th.
Thanks and good luck to everyone on the forum. And special thanks to Saylin for all your hard work and putting up with all our crazy questions!

Just got off the phone with NVC operator - looks like I was right. Our IV packet has been reviewed and approved!! Woohoo!!
And they registered receiving the packet I sent them earlier in the week. Now I just hope they don't wait the full 30 business days to look it over. I am really hoping for a late April/early May interview date.

Called NVC to check on status of documents etc - the DS-261 was just entered into our case file yesterday (even though we filled it out middle of last week - urrr). And they haven't registered the AOS packet yet, but I know it arrived yesterday via USPS. Hoping we'll get the IV invoice tomorrow or Thursday - it seems to have taken up to a week from the DS-261 for other folks.
I'm really crossing my fingers that we might get through this process by early March and get an interview in early April. Here's hoping (for all of us)!

Em&Sid got a reaction from LittleWednesday in NVC Filers - January 2014
Hi LittleWednesday - our case was received at NVC on the same day as yours, and today is about 12 business days since then. We're not in their system yet, but I'm calling every day to check. Let me know if you get any info on yours!

Hi everyone - for what it's worth I asked some folks a few weeks ago about the K-3, including an immigration lawyer and an immigration paralegal, and both of them recommended against it.
Basically, filing now, based on expected processing times, means the best case scenario was the 2 things would probably get adjudicated at the same time, so you're unnecessarily complicating your own paperwork. Additionally, because the first thing we filed was a CR-1, and that requires a consulate interview, once the interview was scheduled, he would have to go back to Germany to do it.
The conclusion we came to was that it was extra work with next to no probably payoff. Just my .02.
Good luck, regardless of what you choose to do!
