  1. Thanks everyone. I did email them and my fiance called-we will continue to contact them. I will also contact my state senator tomorrow-that's wonderful advice. I'll let you know if we hear anything! Thanks again for your support and advice.

  2. My fiance had his interview on March 6. He said the woman interviewing him was very nice, and smiled. She asked him only three questions, however, about 1. my previous divorce (which happened a year ago, after a three year custody battle 2. his work experience and 3. his plans in the US. She then told him that everything was ok, but handed him his passport and said she would contact him in 1 or 2 weeks. She did not give him a 221g form or ask him for any additional information.

I lived in Morocco with my daughter for three years, and worked at the American School, where my fiance also worked for 4 years (I returned to the US in summer of 2012, and he left the school in January 2013 when his father became ill.) We met at the school, and began dating three years ago. We have been engaged for a year, after my divorce was finalized in the US. I have a five year old daughter, for whom I have sole custody, and my fiance basically has raised her with me in Morocco. She calls him \"Daddy\" and misses him terribly. We provided a LOT of evidence, and my income in the US is far above the minimum necessary. This is a very stressful process, and any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated! THe uncertainty right now is very difficult for all of us, not the least my daughter, who wants to know when her Dad will be coming to the US.
