How come two? Do you know when they logged your forms? Mine were logged 22nd March and i'm anxious they'll lose them.

First set I did not pay enough postage. letter (pack 4) was sent on the 27nd or march

but they did say there was a few days delay due to the Easter holidays. I received it on the first

of April.

if you have spoke to them and they have confirmed they have input your

medical details and pack 3 forms in the system a letter will follow

so from me sending pack 3 in to receiving the interview letter pack 4

took the 6 weeks they say it does I am sure its on its way .

We have our interview date also, 18th April ... not received packet 4 yet though although they confirmed posted out. Have you got your packet 4 letter yet?

No it was sent out before easter they guy on the phone said

postage a little delayed there end due to the holidays

What date was your medical? Still waiting for my interview date.

Middle of febuary i had to send in 2 pack 3's hence the wait in between was

Can someone either explain or point me to a "clear" explanation of what Means tested Benefits is under the 125% poverty guidelines. What is really meant by the language there written? Are they basing the guidelines on SSI, TANF, Medicaid etc. I really need to understand what is being implied here.

i just want to ask if is is ok to file a K-1 visa eventhough we're not engaged yet and dont have a ring yet? but we've known each other for almost 3years and we're in a relationship for more than 2 years now and we already met. but we're planning to get marry once the application is approved and once im already there in US... Hope for a response so that we have an idea before we file the application. thanks

They do like proof of your intending marriage, hence letter of intent from your other half

ring recipt etc.but as you said your planning to marry send him out to get you a ring doesnt

have to be expensive but you then have proof (if they ask.

Just a quick tip if you are planning to get one done I believe it would be much cheaper for you to get in done in the US depending where you are if you have time. It cost my OH about $6.00 to get the letter notarised in the US. Today I paid a whopping £90.00 to get another letter notarised (from my Ex) giving his permission for my Daughter to be able to immigrate into the US with me!

A written letter of intent with original signatures should be fine

no sense in paying more money with regards to the children its better

to be safe ex's can be a hassel.

Just called the Department of State. Packet 4 was sent on March 21; interview date is April 8!!! Looks like I need to change my return flight Just trying to breathe right now

My packet 3 letter states that the petition is valid for 4 months and that the notarised letter is needed if you require to revalidate the petition. Am I right in assuming that if your petition does not expire before interview you don't need the notarised letter?

A recent letter of intent within 6 months they may ask for i have one we sent at the start

of the k1 journey and don wrote a recently dated one just to be sure

Hi hun get your other half to check his paper work noa's etc...

it should have your LND number noted on it once you have that

you can book your medical with it before hand , i got my medical

out of the way downloaded all my forms and began to asemble pack 3 to send back once i recieve the pack 3 letter,

I paid for our Visas yesterday, so they have no doubt that we are taking action after receiving packet/letter 3

Only if you did nothing in the way of sending in your forms, getting a medical, etc. As long as you did your part in a timely manner and London can't fit you in for an interview yet, your petition is extended automatically. On the other hand, if you did nothing for say 6 months after London had sent you the instruction letter, then sent in your DS-xxx forms...they would want new assurance the USC petitioner was still on-board with the marriage plan.

yerpy this is correct i asked the same lol i'll call tomorrow to see if mines been loged least then i can pay for the visa one less thing to do , kinda getting a little excited now think its sinking in the main bit will be over with well one of them x

We are also waiting for an interview date (but only just) ... the Embassy received our forms yesterday the same day as the Medical results.

Just for information it does say on my Packet 3 letter that to revalidate the petition we are required to take a notarised statement from my fiancé of intent to marry within 90 days of arrival in the US and present it on the day of the interview. I am assuming this a must anyway and my OH has done the letter and I have it in my sticky fingers ready to go ... I'd rather have too much than not enough!

I so am, my packet left NVC to London consulate on the 8th of March apparently.. haven't heard anything yet! I have my medical booked for 27th, all paperwork ready and really hope for interview before 24th of May!

There is a 6 week wait in london looking at others time scales

id expect my interview letter any time now if you havent had your

medical already then they wont book your interview untill they do

Just wanted to say hi to all iv used this forum for a while for bits of information

im now at the stage of waiting for my interview so thought id sign up
