  1. Hello I went to the interview arrived at 7:45, my interview is 8am I proceed to the information and show up my appoinment letter after a few minutes the lady told me that my interview was postpone she did not gave me any reason of postponent she told me to wait for a new schedule, at around 3:00 pm same day (after postman left) I checked letters at the mailbox and one is from uscis, it was a notice of cancellation of my naturalization interview with no reason of cancellation. I really dont knew why they cancelled my interview in the last minute without any reason.

  2. I don't understand what the scam would be. The USCIS does call people when they scheduled oaths on short notice. The letter was waiting for these people at the oath ceremony. If they had to postpone the interview, they would have to call because the interview is on Monday and they wouln't be able to get a letter out in time. The phone number that it came from isn't necessarily suspect. It is 234567890. This may be something that your phone carried uses as a defaulted blocked number. I find it unlikely that the local USCIS office would not have a blocked number. They don't want any direct numbers published anywhere as they would be bombarded with calls.

I would say with 99.9% certainty that the interview is being rescueduled and this is NOT a scam. However, depending on how far the local office is, I would go ahead and go. If the office is a several hours drive, I would perhaps not go. If the rescheduled notice doesn't show up, go ahead and write a letter to the address on the original interview notice.

Also, did your online status change? Have you checked?

Thank you for reply my online status did not chang maybe your correct because he knows my phone number and my interview time and schedule

  3. That seems strange- both the number and call to postpone. Did he give you the new interview date? When is your interview on Monday? Will you have time to call their office first to confirm your interview is really postponed or is your interview right after the office opens? It would be really bad to miss the interview, so I would plan to go until you can confirm it's really postponed.

    thank you for reply

my interview is on Monday December 1,2014 8:00 am, the guy told me in the voicemail they will sent a new interview date by mail, I will going to call uscis today

***** Moving from CRBA to US Citizenship as Op is talking about Naturalisation ******

Op, when you google that number, it comes up a lot as a potential scam number. See here: http://www.tellows.com/num/234567890 and also here: http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/234567890

Do you think this is real call from uscis or a scam because the number is 234567890 i tried to call back at that number but it was disconnected

  5. Sorry to read this. But, you are going to have to wait for "offiicial" notice/mail regarding the status of ur citizenship application/petition. Best of luck!

    Sid

thank you, I'm worried because my 1 yr. extension expire in two week and I became out of status, but I have an info pass appointment on Wednesday.

  7. Hi everyone.

Please update. Just received the interview letter in the mail. The interview date is August 26. Local office Honolulu.

Mel143 it's good to have you aboard. My local office is the same as yours. I think that your n400 will override your 10 year green card. Good luck.

hi caramel, I checked your n400 timeline we did biometric the same day june 26, but your lucky than me because you already have a schedule for interview, me up to now still waiting, the status base on uscis website is still initial review.

  8. hi please include me in May 2013 filers, eligible May 11, sent May 27, chk cash june 6, priority May 30,2013, biometric june 26, phoenix Arizona lockbox, I checked my case status today thru uscis website and still initial review. ( and also I want to inform you, up to now I don't have a 10 years green card, I received before a letter that my I-751 relocated to local field office here in Honolulu but up to now no schedule of interview so I decided to file n400 since I was already eligible.)

  9. If he was out of status, he was out of status. I don't see how you can cover that up without lying on your own application. Your intentions are good but failure to disclose information to an officer is a dangerous thing.

Was he the USC? Were you?

no, he is not, we divorce already six years ago and I don't know where he is right now we don't have kid. I'm married now to a USC.

thank you for reply. I supposed to send this last sat. but I decided to mail this on Tuesday. and your reply is a big help again thank you.

  12. good day, on april 30 im eligible to apply for citizenship but, last march 14 I received a letter from uscis that my I751 I filed last july 2012 has been relocated to the USCIS Field Office for adjudication meaning for interview i did not received rfe. and up to now no schedule of interview received

My question is, it is ok to apply for citizenship while I have a pending I751 interview? is there any problem if ever I apply. thank you

  13. Did the letter state that you were going to be getting a date for an interview once it was received at the field office?

here is the exact lette I received. I received this without RFE, and no schedule of interview up to now. and also i am eligible to apply for citizenship on april 30, can I apply for citizenship while im still waiting for I751 interview?

    Dear Sir or Madam,

This letter is in reference to your Form 1-751, Petition to Remove the Condition on Residence. This is to notify you that your petition has been relocated to the USCIS Field Office listed below for adjudication. That office will schedule an interview for you. When an interview date becomes available, that office will notify you in a separate notice of the date and time you will need to appear for the interview.

When you appear for the interview, you must bring this notice and your appointment notice, along with evidence to establish that the marriage through which you gained your conditional residence status was entered into in good faith. This evidence may include, but is not limited to, joint bank accounts, joint leases, joint mortgage, insurance policies, canceled checks, joint bills, children's birth certificates, income tax returns, wills, affidavits from acquaintances, photos, etc. If you are applying under one of the exemption provisions, you will be required to bring evidence to support your claim.

Any further correspondence concerning your petition should be directed to your local Field Office at the address shown below.

  14. sorry you need to make your self more clear, so we can answer you.interview for what, 1-751- or citizenship.

sorry for incomplete posting, the letter I received last march 14 is uscis responsed to my I751 up to now no schedule date received the letter only said that my case relocated to uscis field office.and on april 30 im also eligible to apply for citizenship my green card is 3 years. my question is do I need to wait the I-751 interview before applying for citizenship? thank you

  15. It definitely sounds like you are going to have an interview. That is what happened to me. Except we did get a RFE 8 months after applying ROC. We had to file a service request and that is when we got the dreaded letter of adjucation to a local field office. About 2 weeks later we got the interview letter. Usually the interview is about 2 weeks after receiving the letter.

Our appointment was 2/13/13. We are still waiting to hear from the outcome. The IO said that we will hear a decision 30-60 days later. Which 30 days exactly was March 15th.

I don't know how or why they decided for us to have an interview. Even the IO said that all our paperwork was in order and we had strong evidence of a bona fide marriage. The only thing we didn't have that the officer asked for was wedding pictures. I told her that I had more files in the car if she wanted me to go get them and she said no. Who would have thought they would want wedding pictures? We had been married for 3 years all ready and all we brought inside was evidence collected since my husband arrived to the US!!!

I'm not sure what to expect next. I am hoping for the greencard. If not we will do what we need to at the next step.

Technically he qualifies to apply for his citizenship but we are worried about going on with the N400 while the greencard is still being decided. Plus if we need to get an immigration lawyer, we would need the money for that.

Let me know if I can answer any questions for you!

    Good luck!!!

Thank you to all reply I read some post here and they received RFE. I'm not sure why I received the interview notice not the RFE
