The deal:
Married for over 25years, swedish wife, american husband.
USC will leave Europe for US in may and is now filling out the I-130, but not yet sent it in. Wife wants the least time to be apart.
Can the wife enter the US on a tourist (90days) and apply the I-130 when in the country or must it be from outside?
After I-130 we file the I-485.

It currently takes seven years for a over-21 child of a US citizen to get their priority date current. Can you stay a student that long? If you can remain in-status then yes, your plan works.
the procedure is still the same?
So it doesn't help that i am already in the country?

Me: Born in Sweden, Swedish citizen, Female, over 21, on a F1 student visa currently in the US studying my bachelor.
Family member: Dad, american citizen.
He applies for the I-130 and when that is approved I can send in my I-485.
So all I have to do is change my status to permeant resident? (when all the paperwork is approved)
Is there still a long wait time wise?
Is there anything else I need to know? can't seem to find much information on how it works when I am already in the US
thanks
fiance or spouse?

Is it quicker/easier to get permanent residency through K-1 or spouse with an american citizen?
Currently on a F-1 that will expire in january, and i want to stay and be together with my guy forever. We have known of each other forever but became a couple dec '11.
Get married now before my status expires or should i go home and and apply from there? as a fiancé or spouse?
