  1. By the way I just got notification in email!!! :) NOA2 July 8 waiting for the hardcopy now

On July 25, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

  2. I just received an email from TSC in response to the email the tier 2 rep sent on July 19. It says:

"On 07/06/2013, we approved your I129F however; due to a system glitch the system did not generate an Approval notice. We have submitted a request to have the Approval notice generated and mailed to the address on record."

To anyone that has been told by a USCIS rep that their petition was approved but a couple of weeks have gone by and you have not received your hard copy NOA2, my advice would be to call and either open a service request or ask the rep to send an email to the service center requesting that the notice be sent.

I will post an update when I receive my hard copy NOA2.

This is good news. Hopefully they realize a lot of cases were affected by this so called system glitch.now they know whats going on with this missing Approval notices.

  3. Did you speak to a Tier 2 rep? Those front line folks dont know too much--I actually just spoke with them again today ( a tier 2) and the snooty officer says " Your case was confirmed it was approved so seeing it on the online case status should not even be relevant"

He said he will submit a service request to have an approval notice sent out for me..lol

Please keep us updated whenever u receive your NOA2. Thanks

  4. I have the exact same issue as you--my online status at the point still shows "initial review" I called on 7/16 and a Tier 2 rep confirmed it was approved on 7/6/13--I was a little hesitant and called again and was reassured it was in fact approved. The NOA2 can take up to 30 days to be received and I was advised that if I do not receive the NOA2 bu 8/5/13 that I can request another.

Hopefully we will receive ours soon. I am leaving for Barbados to see my fiance next week and I really wanted to travel with the NOA2 to give to him rather than mailing..does suck but hey we were approved--so something to smile about dancin5hr.gif

    Hi Ashley,

Don't wait 30 days until you ask for request!!! This morning around 10am I called USCIS and immediately ask for tier 2 representative, the lady tier 1 rep was very nice and polite but she ask me why and what's supposed to be the problem. So then I explained to her that I havent received my NOA2 hard copy yet and I was approved last july 8. She then suggest to place a service request herself instead of me waiting on the phone for the tier 2 representative. So I said ok and I ask her if this will go to the Service Center and she said yes. Also on her screen my status was still in Initial Review and I ask her why and she said the center was probably too busy with the approvals that they were not able to update it. Anyway she believed me when I said I was approved and then she ask me for all my information needed for the service request. Overall I think she was the nicest USCIS rep I have ever talk to, like she really love her job as a customer support representative. So did I make the right decision of letting her do the Service Request instead of waiting for the tier 2 representative to assist me? Because base from the comments Ive been reading from VJ members ,they dont really a trust tier 1 rep especially the information they give.

  5. Okays thanks for all the responses.Your all very helpful. I will call as soon as I wake up this monday morning and request tier 2 to send the NOA2 immediately. By the way I am registered in the USCIS website and I even attach the G-325 whatever form for notifications in my file. the last notification I receive was when I was transfered to TSC from VSC. Usually I hate mondays but now I cant wait for this new week to come.lol

  6. I was one of the filers who got approved without receiving any electronic notifications such as email/text/website, however I received an approval thru a tier 2 representative. Problem is its been 2 weeks now since my approval date and still no hard copy of NOA2 in mail. Should I be worried? Is the tier 2 rep lying about my case which is not actually approved? What should I do? I know hard copies were usually received wihtin a week. Damn this is so stressful and depressing. I need to take a vacation asap.

  7. My fiance got a call from the Georgia Congressman's Office yesterday to say that our I-129F was approved on July 8 - however we have received NO notifications (which we had been getting via text and email prior) and the internet site isn't updated. I don't want to celebrate just yet as I am a little sceptical at the service centre's pace. Why is our paperwork approved but nothing is done about it!? We only found out about the approval due to the Congressman's Office!

This was the email he received (we filed the G-1145 for notifications right at the start of our journey):

Same thing happened to me. I just found out I was approved last July 8,2013 from the service request I made on June 26,2013. I didnt get any email from USCIS and my status was not updated on website too. Some how a lot of cases that got approved last July 8 didnt get any notifications. Just to verify if Im really approved I called tier 2 representative the next day and she confirmed my I129f is approved. Im still wating for the NOA2 hard copy though. Im not satisfied until I see that in mail.

  8. I made a service request last june 26,2013 about my case which is already beyond processing time. Today I got an email that it was aproved last monday July 8,2013. however I check my status in USCIS website and it is still on initial review. I also called USCIS support and they said still on review. Im confused whats the real status of my case. anyone experience this too? My NOA1 is january 21,2013.
