  1. I want to ask you , as you are with a dependent child too in the ROC process , did you received an extention letter for your child ?

I have received 1 year extention letter only for me , but not for my child that was included in the application for ROC.

I had called USCIS but no help received , just bla bla ... Wait another 30 days , we don't know ....

yeah we made a mistake, I thought its only $590 but its supposed to be 590+85 even if my daughter doesnt need biometrics.she didnt get the extension letter. only my wife did. we called and said wait 30 days for next step, we got a letter like a week after saying they will pull our file and review it then wait another 45 days for more instructions. yeah all wait.

  2. on Feb 2016 we sent our i-751 package but only paid $505 + $85 fee. its supposed to be 505+ 85+ 85 including our 8 yr old daughter (k2). but they already cashed it and now their GCs are already expired. how can we fix this? we already have 1yr extension for my wife but none for our daughter. my wife already did biometrics last march 2016. thanks

  3. Hi everyone ,

I am sending my I-751 package in Monday , but i am confused on the correct fees that i need to pay for me and my K-2 child.

She is included in section 5 , we have one and the same dates on our green cards .

    Am i supposed to pay $505 + $85 bio metrics fee + $85 bio fee for my child = $ 675 OR

    i am supposed to pay $505 for me + $505 for my child + $85 for me +$85 for her= $1180

And do i need to write separate or only one check for the total?

I am confused from the instructions

Please , anyone who filled with their kid/s to answer me ASAP

how old is your child? I believe if below 14 years of age, no need for biometrics. not sure if they require it for all ages now. we only paid $505 + $85 total of $590 for my wife and my daughter (9yrs old). we filed ROC Feb 2016 btw.

  4. Do you have joint car insurance? Have you considered making healthcare power of attorney or wills? The latter two can be done at minimal cost online (for example legalzoom.com). Also, have you considered including photos from various timepoints? Although affidavits are secondary in nature, you could consider including those, one from your brother explaining your living situation and couple others from friends who attest to seeing you together at various social events etc.

I don't think you're screwed because you've been together since 2010 and knew each other since the 90's. You *may* get an interview but if you do, just arm yourself with evidence that reflects your relationship from back in the 90s. For now though, just focus on gathering evidence from the time she became a resident.

Well I have her as an additional driver under my car insurance policy. We are considering making those 2 and thanks for the link, will check it out. For photos, we have a lot over the years. The affidavits sure I can provide those. Hopefully having 2 kids is strong enough to prove to them that we're married in good faith. I dont think I can prove to them that we've known each other back in the 90s since we were not that close and just neighbors and kids then. Thank you for the help.

  5. Hi Guys, nice to be back here, I failed to update my timeline because I was busy since my wife was already here. Its come to the time that I started to prepare for I-751, I know its too early to file but its good to prepare now for ROC. Now, as I am reading other people's posts receiving RFEs (they have more evidence), I am worried that we don't have enough evidence regarding co-mingling of finances, Here's my case:

My wife and I got married Aug. 2013. Been together since 2010 but known each other since late 90s. (neighbors in Philippines)

She got her GC April 2014.

Wife and Daughter (K-2) GCs gonna expire April 2016.

    We have 2 kids.(8 and 4yo) 8yo is my wife's daughter (K-2), 4yo is our daughter (LPR).

Both kids go to school and we are listed as parents (of course).

Me and my wife filed our taxes jointly 2014, 2013.

We don't have joint bank accounts. (have separate checking)

I do have a capital one credit card w/ my wife as an authorized user.

We only have health insurance through Covered California - Medi-Cal.

We do not have other life insurance.

We own 1 car (under my name) and lease another one (my name) both insured under my name with my wife as additional driver.

We don't have any other joint accounts.. (gym, costco, etc..) :(

We live together at my brother's apartment, I just pay him half the rent in cash, but the lease is only under his name.

Utility bill is under my brother's name as well, I pay him half too.

Phone Bills, we're on the same plan but under my Mother's name which I just pay with cash too.

We only earn enough just to survive our day to day lives.

What we have is our love for each other, our kids and our marriage. I don't know what to show them. Are we screwed? Please help.

  6. hi guys. Im the petitioner and about to register my Fiancee and her child to St. Lukes medical online. My question is there is a relationship part. I wanna know what to choose as a relationship with her child? I was thinking of stepdaughter, but I think stepfather is after we get married. I might get in trouble.

  7. maybe Im wrong with my timeline. but definitely it was in transit yesterday, and now it shows READY. my question is:

    for example my case# is:

    MNL2013123456

it showed me 3 results such as:

    MNL2013123456 01 MNL

    MNL2013123456 02 MNL

    MNL2013123456 03 MNL

  8. yourself only - making sure your fiancee in the manila interview doesnt mention the daughter = that will just confuse everything & no one needs to confuse any govt personell at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those people stay in mass confusion at all times!!

Therefore ur poverty level is for 1 preson only

thank you so much. but they will still know that we have daughter since she is listed in the petition. well anyway, thanks really. Im just nervous we might get denied because I just started working.

  9. The embassy asks for your most recent tax return (and supporting documents), its required. But I believe your current pay stubs and a letter from your employer should be adequate for showing your increased yearly income now.

I believe your income exceeds the 125% requirement for 4, here is the link; http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

another thing, sorry for the dumb question, I just said on my first post that were in a household of 4. I counted myself + fiancee + stepdaughter + our daughter (no legal custody). Is it right?

  10. ok ic so u & a daughter u have custody of? that would then come under a poverty lever of 2 in family =yet i do believe you are above the level of 3 anyways -so ur still covered for being above the 1255 poverty lever guidelines . The govt will see that u were not needed to file last 3 years irs returns then also - u should be covered totally then.

no legal custody for my daughter. so how will it be in terms of household number?

  11. Immediate family is =YOU & ank Kids you have - no other relatives at all - they dont care who u live with at all -remember its all about You - The us citizen !! dont quite me -yet u can look up the 2013 us poverty level in google & look all over as there will even be shown a 125% poverty lever shown. for 1 its like 17-18,000. yeraly The usgovt will also check ur last 3 yeras tax returns also. & have no taxes owed or outstanding also.

so its only me and my daughter? because the other daughter is my fiancee's daughter. I don't have 3 years tax returns, I just started working Nov 2012. I just graduated Mar 2012.

  12. No u dont - at all!! ive been thru all this now 2 x in life so all thats needed is u need to see what ur poverty level is & be sure ur at & above that level by 125% =usually easily done too=that level depends on how many are currently in your IMMEDIATE family! do not count the fiancee!

Hi thanks for the fast reply. What do you mean Immediate family? Right now, I'm living with my brother and his 2 kids.

My fiancee would be travelling with my stepdaughter and our daughter. So how many are we?

  13. Im the petitioner, a recent graduate last March 2012 in the Philippines, started working thru an agency here in the USA on Nov2012 w/ salary of $26000/year. After 5 months I got hired full time with the same company I've been working with thru the agency. My salary increased and became $32,240/year. Were in a total of 4 in a household. I believe its above 125% poverty level.
Is it enough if I just present an Employment Letter from my company with recent paystubs supporting the I-134? I only have 1 W-2 (Nov-Dec2012).
Or do I need co-sponsor (does Manila allow co-sponsors)? If so, what form do we need to present?

    thanks.
