My husband is from Cairo, Egypt. We met in college in August 2010, when he came to America on a scholarship. We instantly hit it off and were always together during the year he was in America. We married on March 4th, 2011. He came back to Egypt during September 2011 since his student visa was over and I came to Egypt to live on February 15th 2012. I stayed 3 and half months, went home for a month since it was my first time leaving my family and then returned in July and stayed for 2 1/2 months. During this time we prepared the I-130 application and sent it off. It was received and on August 22, 2012. (After 1 1/2 years of marriage). I went home for the holidays and came back to Egypt January 15th, 2013. After 4 months in Egypt, I received notification of an interview in America for the I-130. I rushed back after hearing that I had missed an interview in December 2012 because of them sending my mail to the wrong address. My interview was in July 2013 and the I-130 was approved at the interview. Then everything was sent to the National Visa Center and was received there in August. I sent in the AOS and IV packages along with additional evidence on September 2nd, 2013 and we had case complete on September 30th, 2013. I also went back to Egypt on September 15th and stayed until December 6th. I am currently back in America waiting for him to come join me since I have two years left at the college here. We have now been waiting 3 months since case complete, but have received no interview letter yet. Hopefully we will get the notification soon so we can finally start planning our future in America!! :)
