So I've already posted in a separate thread, but this may be the more appropriate forum: My CEAC status says "Issued" but also
I just wanted to make sure that this is their standard message and I'm not in some sort of extra AP procedure that will take actually take "several weeks." Did other people get the same message? Interview was on the 5th, and the new status appeared this morning, after having been at "Ready."
Okay, all is good. Status just updated to
Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_information to track your courier waybill.Yay.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.I just wanted to make sure that this is their standard message and I'm not in some sort of extra AP procedure that will take actually take "several weeks." No, I think this is them saying that they are taking the time to insert your visa page in your passport. Don't worry.
Okay, that's a bit of a relief. I guess the term "Administrative Processing" in this forum usually means "wait for a really long time," so I was quite worried.

So I had my interview on Wednesday and was approved without problem. The officer told me I'd get my passport in one to 1.5 weeks. This morning, the CEAC tracker changed to "Issued" but also says

Will we have to wait another couple weeks until they get their act together? Please somebody explain what AP means in this case. (In case it matters: I'm a German citizen with Canadian PR)
17 months and going...

Approved in Montreal today! Yay. For details, I posted in the reviews section. No problems encountered. Now let's hope they send back my passport as quickly as possible...

Fellow Canadians, I was trying to figure out how long it'll take to get the passport and documents back after the interview, but somehow can't seem to find that info. My address in Montreal, which should hopefully speed things up. I'd really like to book my flight to the US ASAP. Thanks!

Got the happy news yesterday by email: November 5 it is! It does seem like they're taking PD into account, as we've been stuck in this ####### since June 2013. Yay!
-
Hopefully they start scheduling interviews soon. Besides us and Austin, is anyone else waiting on Montreal?
Yep, we are. CC on September 18.
-
So on the 18th we received our CC. Coincidentally, this was both our anniversary and the day I was flying to the US to visit my wife. And pretty much 60 days from when NVC received our checklist response (July 22). No interview yet, but the end is in sight, finally. Oh, and CEAC never changed to N/A for us.

07/22 scan date... just called and my packets have not been reviewed yet, so sad :/ good luck everybody! Looks like another weekend will pass by with no CC for me
Yep, I'm July 22, too, and of course no news yet. 15 months and still no end in sight. Sigh.

Just for clarity, it's the ENROLL email They stopped calling it the OPTIN mail at some point ? a few months back.
Oh god, my heart almost skipped a beat there. Fortunately, all is good and I did indeed use the proper subject line. Phew

Last month, somebody mentioned that the NVC customer service rep they'd talked to said that we didn't need to wait for the confirmation anymore... just go ahead and send everything in as set out in Saylin's Montreal wiki. I figure it's worth a shot, and that's what I plan to do once we have the last couple documents for our AOS package.
I haven't noticed very much difference in how long it takes to get through at any particular time (although since I'm on the West Coast I've never tried to get up at 4am PST to call the moment they open) - I usually have to "redial" between 5-15 times and then wait on hold for 25-45 minutes tp speak to a rep.
Thanks for the advice! I just resent the OPTIN email once more, just to be sure, and will probably go ahead and just submit the docs next week. You're right, can't do much harm, can it...
-
Any advice on when/how to best get through to the NVC hotline? My wife has tried calling them numerous times last week, but never even makes it into the waiting queue. Are the off-peak hours they list indeed any better or do you just have to be persistent? I'm still waiting for the EP confirmation, and it's been almost a month now :-/

Quick question: I won't need a police certificate from the US, despite having lived there for over 6 months, right? From what I've found through the search they do the US checks internally.
Thanks!

Saylin, could you please add me to the spreadsheet?
I-130 Sent : 2013-06-06 I-130 NOA1 : 2013-06-13 I-130 RFE : I-130 RFE Sent : I-130 Approved : 2014-03-10As I'm waiting for my case number etc. I'm trying to get together my documents. One question: I do not need a police certificate for the US, even if I have lived there before, right? At least that's what I gather from my search on the forums here.
Thanks!

Hello NVCers,
finally received my NOA2 from Nebraska today. Let the new waiting begin!
-
Just got my approval email!
PD June 11, transfer to NSC Dec 11. So I guess they managed to stay exactly one day under 9 months...
Happy thoughts and good luck to the unlucky folks still waiting!

Hi, I'm Mariana, from Argentina, and I've been patiently waiting for my approval till today that I really got frustrated. It's my husband who is filling for me.
Our Priority Day: 06/25/2013
Case transferred to NSC: 12/27/2013
No news till now. Nothing.
I wanted to send an e-request but the same Receipt number that works when I check my status online, seems to be invalid for the e-request form. Frustrating. I've read about a glitch on the web site or something like that.
Should I wait a bit more? Thank you, Mariana
Yes, the e-request does not work. You have to call them to make a service request. We did so last week and of course haven't heard back (they say they respond within 15 days). I really, really hate this whole process. Another week is almost over, people get approved or not approved with no rhyme and reason, and we are completely powerless to do anything about it.
-
Does anyone know how long it takes them to respond to a service request? Not that it'll say anything useful, but at least it would be something...
Still waiting and waiting and waiting...
-
Overall, if VJ's data is a representative enough sample, (and USCIS is honest) the processing date that will be posted around April 20 should be somewhere in mid - late June (although that's literally an average, since June hasn't been getting much attention at all - only the months before and after!)
As someone stuck in Nebraska's June desert: thanks for the informative calculations. But I shudder to think that I might be stuck for another month or more...
-
Congratulations to all the recent approvals. Unfortunately, this makes me even more depressed and angry with my June 11 priority date and Dec 11 transfer data. The wife put in a service request yesterday, we'll see if anything useful comes out of that.
-
This is what I got today from NBSC as a response to a service request:
Were you able to file the request online? I'm still getting an error about an incorrect receipt number when trying to make a request.
-
The website is back up, at least for me. But of course that's no good if they still don't give us approvals anyway. Oh, and the stupid e-request still gives the same error message.
-
As a pissed off June filer with an NSC transfer on Dec 11 I tried submitting an e-request today. Only to receive an error message:
- Routing could not be determined due to an invalid receipt number.
Grrrrr.

Nothing in the Loomis system yet, but this sounds good.
