  1. You'll get the visa as early as 3 business days but could take up to 2 weeks depending on your pick up or delivery location.

Congrats on the approval and your soon to be baby! You're getting close to having the baby so if you get the visa in a week, I doubt they'll let you take the flight to US with your condition

    Thankyou! :) hehe

I hope he gets it soon.. I'm the petitioner. My fiance is the one in the Philippines still. Hoping he can get his Visa ASAP so I could get him a ticket and fly him over here before baby comes out kicking.gif kicking.gif

  2. Just wanted to start off by saying God is always Good..

Well today my Fiance went for his interview at the USEM in Manila and he was approved :) YEHEY!!!
So they told him to wait for the visa to be sent to our house in Manila..

Does anyone know how long we'll be waiting for him to receive his passport and visa?
(I'm 37 weeks pregnant and baby is about to pop out anytime! So were hoping he'll be here before then...)

Thanks to everyone on VJ who've helped us along the way.. This site and the people are awesome!!

  3. Hey everyone :)

We recently got approved and I received my I-797 in the mail and I would like to pay the visa fee online. Is this possible? I'm getting confused with BPI's website. If anyone has any experience paying online your help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to pay ASAP so I could schedule his Interview..

Thanks in advance. God Bless :)

  4. CONGRADULATIONS!!!!

If she can pass her medical and interview before her delivery date make sure she also has a letter from a doctor allowing her to travel. Airlines are very restrictive on third trimester travel.

Thankyou so muchh hehe :) But, I'm the one who petitioned my fiance.. He's the one who's in the Philippines hehe.. I'm here in the states preggy.. Hoping we could fix everything ASAP.. So he can make it in time for when I give birth to our little blessing..

Any tips on what I should do like right now? hehe I'm still in shock that we were approved..

    Thanks again :)

Hopefully my fiance can make it in time before baby pops out in August..

weee. I'm just so happy to hear the news, I thought we would hear something long after baby came out..

    God always has a plan.

To all those couples still waiting, hang in there. It's hard but all worth it in the end.
    Goodluck everyone..

    God Bless heart.gif

  6. Thanks guys for the advice. :)

I was just wondering if it was a good idea or not. He hasn't traveled out of the P.I. yet, but, we do know a couple of people in the Philippines that could probably help if we tried the B-2 process.

  7. :help:Hey everyone! I was wondering If I should try applying for a B-2 Visa while my K-1 Visa is still processing for my fiance. I'm 4 1/2 months pregnant with our first baby and I was wondering if I file for a B-2 if my fiance could be here when I give birth or at least be with his baby when she gets out. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance everyone. Have a great day.. :)

  8. It couldn't hurt for you to file for expedite. I'm not pregnant or a woman, but I imagine if I was I would file for it in your shoes. It can't really hurt. You may want to get a lawyer for that, and a good one.

I was thinking about getting a lawyer for that, but since I called and asked they said they could try and I would have to get back in 5days, but thankyou :)

  9. i've been waiting for 5 months already, we filed when i was 6 weeks pregnant. you should've filed it earlier maybe you'll have a higher chance since VSC is working faster now. there's no chance to expedite it esp youre the USC and you have all the best of care you will ever need in there(not that sure.) sad to say, emotional stress has no way to make k1 faster as i believe it's normal for pregnant women and everyone in this waiting game is going thru that. but who knows you might get lucky.

    congrats and Good luck

I do hope so and thankyou. Yea expediting it won't work. Wish it would but I just have to wait it out.. :bonk:

  10. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely he will be there when you give birth. The U.S. has very strict immigration, and the processes take a long time. It ends up keeping families apart, and causing a lot of stress for a lot of people. If you got the NOA1 on March 1st, I would say that the most reasonable expectation is for your fiance to arrive in the U.S. early next year. Sometimes it happens faster, but there is the NOA2, the NVC, then the scheduling of the interview, which, depending on country, can be several months after the NOA2, and finally, the visa.

I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly for you.

I hope so too and thankyou. :)

Does getting a lawyer make anything faster? Or is it just extra cost?

  11. Congratulations on your pregnancy  Unfortunately, there isn't really anything that you can do to speed up this process. Try not to worry to much or stress yourself out too much, that would not be good for you or your little baby. Trust me, I know that it is so difficult to be away from your fiance. The time does move by pretty quick. Hang in there and good luck to you guys

Will do. :) I'm really hoping the time will go by fast. It just sucks that he might not be here when I give birth. :( grrr... but, thank you for your help. It means a lot..
