    To contact or not to contact congressman question

    I contacted my congressman (in northern IL) and my petition was approved the next week. I think the timing worked out well for me because it happened to be the same week that the CSC starting processing I-129fs again, but I feel very confident that the contact from my congressman's office sped up my approval. I also hesitated before contacting my congressman and senators (the senators were useless in my case), but am so glad I did. I think the results will depend on the congressman's office, but I don't see anyway it could hurt to contact them. The aid I talked to seemed like she did this type of thing all the time, so might as well take advantage of it if you can
