  1. CEAC and CSC Visa Information Services Website has not posted any updates currently. No waybill number, nothing. He received a cell phone text early morning instructing him to go pick up his visa at the post office (ptt). Visa/Passport in hand and flight ticket booked for next week, so excited because it has taken such a long time/ process and finding a co-sponsor was challenging. Very thankful for those who posted and responded. May you have the best results in your journey and a happy life together!

  2. hey guys im checking my visa status on CEAC its not showing and saying this.

401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

what it means ? please let me know if someone had the same experience \. thanks

It means " server error ", try back at a later time. It happened to me also... and then it worked.

  3. Our interview was November 25, 2013 and the immigration officer basically said if we don't have a cosponsor we don't have visa. Even though I had sufficient current income, they only looked at the three years of income tax and only one was below the 125%. All the other documents was fine. The last four months I have been trying to obtain several different candidate sponsors that unfortunately have been disqualified due to either not enough income on one of the three years required, lack of bringing in all documentations required or quitting in the middle of our process. Unfortunately this has set me back by going through this whole process with each one of these individuals by months, just to give you an understanding of the difficulty I have incurred.

I finally found a more than qualified cosponsor who makes well over the financial quota and provided 3 years of income taxes, which included a current paycheck stubs, birth certificate, drivers license copy, and signed sponsor documents. I also did a new intent to marry notary just to be safe and put that in there as well.

We have everything in order and all the documents was sent out, received on 17 March 2014 by the Embassy.

Here is the CEAC website progress, note the change in "Immigrant Visa Application" verses "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" text. I noticed the change when it went from the old "Administrative Processing" to current "Ready." Also the Create Dates changed. It changed in four steps that I have listed below. I hope this information helps others on their journey and best of luck.

Unfortunately this has set me back by going through this whole process with each one of these individuals by months, just to give you an understanding of the difficulty I have incurred.

I finally found a more than qualified cosponsor who makes 53,000 a year and provided 3 years of income taxes, which included a current paycheck stubs, birth certificate, drivers license copy, and signed sponsor documents. I also did a new intent to marry notary just to be safe and put that in there as well. We have everything in order and all the documents was sent out yesterday and currently will be there to my love on Wednesday. He will put his passport inside and send it to Ankara with documents NEXT DAY DELIVERY so we can get his visa.

I am soooo wanting to get this wait of separation over with, I miss him.

My Visa question is, we have provided EVERYTHING the Embassy Requested. It is ALL in documents, once they get it how long before he gets a visa? I read 7-10 days after they receive our documents in Ankara. If we provide everything required, we should get visa, right? What time framer are we looking at?

Is there anything else I need to be aware of or need to know?

    Thank You,

    Sarah

  5. So is he on his way?

Even though I had a substantial amount of savings, I showed over $3,400 PER MONTH income for the last 4 months and have had a job for the rest... they only looked at last years W2 form and said we need a co-sponsor.... so if you have a low tax return from last year.... they will not look at what your current income is... or how much you have in savings... I even have $30,000 in equity in the house! AND IT STILL IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! So be forewarned.... they will look at only your last years taxes... it doesn't matter your current situation or income.... they only looked at the last year taxes. So now I am struggling to get a co-sponsor... when everything else was FINE, even the officer said everything was fine as far as documents and requirements...EXCEPT we need a co-sponsor. we dont get visa until I get a co-sponsor... which is looking very sad at the moment because I don't have one and haven't found anyone to help.... so sad and so disappointed!!!!!

  6. Hi Sarah,

I just called NVC and they told me that our case was in additional administrative processing. Does that mean it will be in transit to Turkey soon? So confused.

Ours was stuck in AP for 18 days.... could be that they are back logged, scanning your files, doig background checks... it varies and no one is for sure what they do during AP.

  7. NVC reported that our file was sent out on the 18th of July, 2013 but I cant seem to get the waybill to pull up anything on Ankara Turkey... maybe I am doing this wrong?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could please help me by either posting any finds or explaining how to get this informantion. I read very first post instructions, but still nothing is coming up :(

  8. It is always good to be ahead, just check and triple check that you have everything in order with signatures and all that other fun stuff!

    Wishing EVERYONE a speedy Journey!

Congrats to you both. Our forms are all filled out and ready to go too and we didn't even get the NOA2 yet. Loooooooool

    Thank You!

    Congrats! smile.png

  9. I checked the NVC website and it says "IN TRANSIT." Called NVC and our file is being shipped to the Embassy! Waybill doesn't show it yet, but the NVC operator said it was mailed out the 18th and any further questions need directed to the Embassy after they receive our file. Now we wait for packet 3, although ours is already filled out and ready to go.

The Embassy gives you the interview date if you are a " K " filer, I called NVC today and asked for the interview date and they directed me to the Embassy. Of course it is in transit and once they receive our file, than we can inquire about any questions we might have.

On the "in transit" notice it says an interview date was provided for you by the NVC. What does that mean and how to know the date or do we just wait? thnaks!

  11. Our file is in transit from NVC to the Embassy... July 18, 2013

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, it helps to know what to expect when our turn comes around. Praying our time will be quick and that we will be together soon! Today is his birthday... Happy Birthday My Love!!! (If You Are Reading THis) Wish I was there with him to celebrate, time goes by and we have missed so much already this year... Hoping before next year we will have many many more good memories we will share together.

Your new life together here in the U.S. has just begun jdba, congratulations and wish you the best!

  12. I just checked the NVC status tracker and it says that it is in TRANSIT:

"Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

I had not seen an update online at DOS so I called them really late and the gentleman said the case is in additional administrative processing... so this was disappointing to learn, especially when before it was not in this process July 8th. There are no appointments available in Ankara either, via Embassy, so it looks like it will be a longer "wait" process than expected.

Will try and keep everyone updated so that this experience possibly helps the next person.

I called back really late and had spoken to a gentleman on the phone who said he sees no admin or additional processing. He says from what he can see, which is limited, is that the case is being geared up to the last mechanisms of preparing for the Embassy. Also, he said that last week was a holiday and it kind of has a slow down affect for a brief while. So hopefully we will hear good news on our case soon. smile.png

Thanks Darnell for your reply, much appreciated.

My file was not really "missing" any thing but they wanted a copy of my passports showing all entry/exit dates to Turkey. I had taken 2 trips there. Originally I sent a copy of my passport to the USCIS. But I only sent copies of my eticket and boarding pass plus receipts and pictures from my 2nd trip (in March) with my husband to his interview. I was really pissed since this is not required but this only held up his visa one week.

I know of another person who's interview June 3 and is still waiting. The embassy only told him to send "more proof". I am thankful they at least told us what to send.

I have never heard of AP before the interview. But I'm new to this. Hopefully this means you wont have to worry about AP after the interview.

All I can say is make sure you have lots of Proof at the interview. Specially if he plans to do his interview in Turkish. The Turkish lady at the embassy asks lots of questions and asks for lots of Proof. I sent 2 folders 1.5 inches thick each. Chat records, snap shots from skype, pictures, letters, cards, western union receipts, flower receipts, plane tickets, boarding passes, hotel receipts, pictures with his family, Plus pictures from our wedding. She looked at everything and asked questions about them. We practiced over 40 questions about me, my family and work. So my husband was ready. Just make sure he knows everything for the interview and is comfortable answering the questions.
