    Hi good day everyone...I just got my visa earlier today and when I checked the details on it I noticed that my fiance's name is incomplete ...his name for example is jose luis martinez-garcia...( based on my understanding martinez would be his last name and garcia is his.moms maiden name right?

    Now on the visa its jose luis garcia :( would that be ok or I really need to take the visa back to the embassy for correction? And if I have to do that...how long would it take to process the correction?

    I believe we have all of those...w2..itr..letter of emplyment..paystubs and bank statements :)

    Whew!!! What a relief.....I just don't understand why they would tell us we are short, was is it just an honest mistake? But yeah whatever the reason is ...I'm just so glad to know that I Should have nothing to worry about...thanks so much guys :) to hank and tintin and mike steve b..and evryone thank u so much :)

    And just a follow up question...

    Computation of annual income is

    Hourly rate x number of hours in a week x 52 right?

    Just figured out today...why would they (people helping us From a visa agency) tell us we are short if my f is earning 10.50/hour and working 37.5 hours a week x 52 weeks in a year???

    If that computation/formula is right then we arent really short from meeting the poverty guidelines after all? Coz he's making $20475 (income alone) I know its like a no brainer issue but I am jst sooooo confused...

    But he has his own savings account With quite a bit amount of cash..prolly around 10k...we just found out about the joint account of him and his mom recently...it was opened years ago when he was I believe in highschool......we just decided to include it as a backp support of his income plus his own savings.....

    Let's say were $500 short...and he has $15,000 more or less with his personal savings account and from a joint account with his mom and bro...we're ok wit that right?

    Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I just really need to know :( ......so I could have atleast a peace of mind and not gonna have a heart attack thinking about it while waiting for our interview date:'(

    Yes we didn't consider his car coz he only has 1 and he's living with his parents but not his dependents as they have their own income...he has way more than 1,500 in his account plus his share from a joint account of him, his mom and his brother....

    So I believe were ok with that right? Whew! :) thanks so much for enlightening me...

    I'll be having my interview later this month that'S why I'm making sure were good to go :)

    we didn't contact any representative..we had plans befoe but when we noticed csc starts moving again...we decided to just wait :)

    Got the email at 7:30 CST tonight. Wasn't expecting it for another week or two so I had to pinch myself. They must be really burning through petitions at CSC like crazy now. Hopefully they will keep this intensity up so that everyone gets to reunite with their loved on ASAP; I feel bad for those still waiting.

    Hello. I'm an October filer also. Some people have reported that getting the alien registration number notification shortly after filing is just an error in the USCIS system.

    Other people have reported that receiving this message after many months, as you have, may mean that a response from USCIS is coming in the near future. There have been many reports of approval or request for evidence within days (and sometimes hours) of receiving this message. The general belief seems to be that receiving this strange message indicates that someone has started to look at the file. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to just wait and see what see what happens over the next few days.
