statut updated today .oath was mailed.

yesterday I was put inline for oath ceremony.so I am still waiting for them to schedule me....

How long did it take you to clear the security and reach the interview floor ? We are planning to take our 1 year old with us. Hopefully they will allow us.

less than 3 min.i don't call that security .they didn't check my id until I get to the interview room with the officer.the entrance security is like at any aiport security.you put bag belt shoes on a plastic and it goes through a scanner,then you proceed the scanner.at the entrance you just show your interview letter and then do the security .it is less than 3 mn.and then I took the elevator to the 7 floor.there is a big waiting room where family stay. People came yesterday with all their family member. I saw a lot of baby car seat too.only the person having the interview will go through a line in that room to get a number.so later they will call the number but again it is not in order..they called the number and said door 1 or door2.and they are waiting for the person to come to the indicated door.so they don't see you with your family at the end. Because only the person with the number get up and go to the door.but I remember that at the end of the interview ,the officer did ask me if someone is waiting for me and I said no.so he then let me exit by a back door where I took directly the elevator.i guess if it was a yes i will have to exit by the waiting room because I saw a lot of person with family exit back by door 1 or door 2.you can get lucky to get your number call early,so good luck to you.and update too.

so I went to my interview this evening.it was scheduled for 1:30 pm but got there at 1pm.i waited more than 2 hours to finally get my number called.i noticed there that they don't follow arrival order .A lot of people who came after me get call before me .it was so annoying.so he asked me to swear with my right hand so I did.

we did the civics test first and then review all my N400 application .

1. what is the name of the national anthem

2. how old do citizen have to vote

3. what is the rule of law

4.what ocean is on the west coast of the us

5. what happen on September 11 .2001

6.why does the flag have 13  stripes

so later he gave me a paper with 3 sentences and asked me to read number 1:

how many senators are there?

give me another paper for the writing and asked me to write on line 1,we have 100 senators

and that it is for all the test,

then we reviewed all the questions on the n400 . he asked me all the yes and no questions .signed the n400 in front of him and he asked me if I want to change my name .I said yes and he gave me 3 other paper to sign.i sent 2 passport photo with my application so he asked me to singn the picture 2.

and then review my 2 passport because I had 2 trips. later only asked for 2016 taxes.and I gave the irs transcript .and he gave me the form n652 that I passed the test and the A that congratulate me .application is recommended for approval.

I applied for the 3 years rule and send with my applications kids birthcertificates,and 3 years tax transcript,

it is probably why he only asked for the 2016.he didn't ask me any bills to shows.and I didn't send any bills and insurance with my application,

he told me that I will have the oath in rockland and they will send me the letter when scheduled.

my husband will drop me .yes I am in rockland county .

for the transcripts we filed married jointly.

2 more weeks to go ......

1. Joint bank account statements for last 3 years. We are thinking if we should just take the checking statement only or both checking and savings.

2. Tax transcripts for the last 3 years. ( i think we may also take copy of actual tax returns. Either one is required.)

3. Electric and Gas bill which has both our names for the last 1 year.

4. Birth certificates of our children.

5. Health insurance card which has our names.

6. Home insurance statement which has our names.

7. Driver license ID for both which has the same address.

 

I cant think of anything else.

What  are the document you are bringing to the interview based on 3 years rule?

the mortgage and all the house bills are on my husband name.

we do have a joint account since 2013. and I am covered on his medical and dental insurance. We have 3 kids together and the 4 is coming by the end of October.

I am the beneficiary on his life insurance too.i already send with my n400 package the 3 years tax transcript from irs and the copy of the birth certificates. I got the irs transcript for 2016 . what do you think I can bring else at the interview?

Case in line for interview means they are ready to schedule your interview as soon as they have a date and time available for you. When it will be scheduled depends on how busy your local field office is. The bigger and more populated your local metro area, the longer the time.

I got my interview letter today for September 7 at federal plaza.updated my date.

Yea. I hope so. As you could see, John's NOA is 2/13 and mine was 2/22... He was scheduled 7/28 and I am still pending.

I don't know if they schedule by NOA.

Charro and me have the same NOA but he was scheduled since 06/20 and for a 07/20 interview.they scheduled me 45 days later .so I do not think they go by NOA

I was checking my account yesterday until 6pm and it was still online for interview.but got SMS a 6:04pm about update on my account (4 mn after I logout ).so I checked back online  and interview scheduled.so just to say that 1:30 pm is too early.just be positive .i know it is very difficult...

Just got 4 SMS/and 1 email  about update on my case.so I went online and boom.....

interview scheduled on august 2.

excited right now.

New York city is moving finally .....

i will update when the official letter arrive in my mail
