  1. Thanks for all the replies! Unfortunately Sula is probably out of the option (my fiance lives in the southern extreme of Honduras) But I have looked in to going out of san salvador and nicaragua because they come out cheaper and faster, does anyone know if that is an issue at the Port of Entry if she did not fly out of honduras?

  2. Hey do any of you have an Idea how to get cheap tickets flying out of Tegus Honduras? The best I could find came out at $600 from Honduras going through Atlanta as the port of entry. That a little less than I pay for a round trip down there but to get flights out of Honduras they are all way expensive. Thanks for any advice!

  3. Your courthouse needs to update their printing system, original documents have to be printed on specific paper with water marks ect. or any fool could make a copy and pass it off as original a black and white copy with a seal dose not make it an Original. So the "dumb immigrant" that sent it back was probably

    A. not an immigrant and if they where I am sure they can do their job and are just as well trained as any natural born american citizen and

    B. Doing their job as directed them.

So go talk to your courthouse about getting the original document not just a sealed copy and send it back in. And stop using racial stereotypes to express your anger that has no place here.

That being said I am really sorry that happened, I know it sucks to wait and hope that things do come through for you sooner than later!

  4. I know that the plane ticket is not super cheap but if you can afford it I would go. Especially if you are more familiar with the documentation than your fiance, you can always be there to clear up doubts and help out. It is also a great emotional support and could help to calm nerves and avoid mistakes. I am planning on going down whenever it turns out to be, we just got the NOA2 today!!

  5. I called USCIS today and got in to talk to a tier two representative about my case, (I am a march filer) I mentioned that there had been a few march filers that where already approved on here and was wondering what a ball park figure would be. He told me that it would probably be about six months out, that I was about 2/3 of the way through the process and the people that had already been approved were just lucky.

He also said that the system showed csc as doing final processing for Jan 16 as of today.

But, my timeline approximation shows that it should already be here, so which one do I believe?

  6. Check This page out on USCIS it has the directions. The requirement is 125% of the US poverty level income which is $11,490 but would need 14363 income for a single person household to qualify for financial support (see poverty level here) or it can also be ((your income) 9192 - (125% of poverty level which is 14363))= 5171 * 5 = $25855 is smaller than your current assets Which seems to be the case with assets at $59,918. I would double check all the math yourself but It looks like you are in the clear as long as you have pay stubs and titles to prove it.

  7. Hi guys! I just saw a picture. He's already going out with the girl, it's not even 2 weeks since the breakup. This just tells me more that i need to move on. Just hurts a lot coz now everybody asking me what happened.

I am so sorry that must be tough, break ups can be really hard on you mentally so remember to take some time for yourself to sort through your feelings before you move on. Make sure you deal with it now so you don't have to come back to it later. I hope things get better for you!

  8. Actually, the police officer and apparently the prosecutor both think the kid had broken the law. That is why he was handcuffed and arrested and subsequently brought up on charges. And that is really all that matters in this context. Whether I think the kid broke the law has no bearing on what happens there at all

I think it does matter what you think, the day that people refuse to recognize the law and permit it to be violated on the whims of others, be it officers of the law, children, or teachers is the day that we will lose the protection that the law gives. So though what you think now may have no sway in the what happened, it can and should have sway on the way it is perceived afterward. So that this type of an incident dose not occur again.

  9. What is funny is how confused you are. I haven't flipped at all. Aside from the fact that I have not made any argument over whether or not the kids that were locked up in a closet were traumatized by that experience, you fail to understand that we are looking at two entirely different scenarios here. The dude that locked them kids up in a closet had zero authority to do that which is why he is now facing charges. The cop, on the other hand, absolutely had the authority to handcuff the kid after the kid failed to follow the officer's instructions. It's not that hard to understand.

I think its time that people on this thread looked at the legal implications instead of throwing out their political rhetoric be it conservative or liberal.

Bottom Line: There was an attempt to regulate by force the dress of a student that was no in direct violation of the established dress code, which according the Tinker v. Des Moines ruling in 1969 is illegal and in that light the officer had no legal force with which to command the individual and refusing to comply in that situation was completely within his rights, and there were no legal grounds on which to detain him.

  10. I never sent it but from what I saw it is tons better to use a private courier service like DHL or FedEx and have them hold the documents for them at the closest location. That way they have to present ID and everything. The normal mail sevice will take forever and you will probably lose half the documents on the way.
