  1. After 7 months of nerve wracking... it paid off. My Mom's interview was simple and short. They went in around 6 am and got out @ 11 am. Only 4 questions asked..

    1. What was your petitioner's name

    2. What is your name

    3. Have you been out of the country before

    4. Where does she live?

Then the consul took her passport and asked her to signed the visa application and off to go.

I am very thankful for you guys here on VJ for helping us out, you guys were amazing and very helpful.

    Salamat po ng marami!!

  2. Congratulations :) by the way when was your case completed? Did you call NVC to find out your latest update? My case completed on May 22nd and I keep checking my email if I got anything...I should call to find out since email correspondence is somewhat late than usual.... but anyway congratulations once again :)

  3. To David and Zoila.... are you absolutely for sure that you see it with your two eyes that her families been harrassing her? It just sounds so fishy to me. Did you give your wife a cash to pay the security, dorm fees etc etc in terms of cash flows? Just my thought don't get offended.

  7. Hi Beth. Both my parents underwent medical a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, Dad didn't pass, so both of them need to go back next week for sputum test. They stayed in Hotel Soriente for a night. They arrived in St. Luke's around 10am on their first day. Second day, they were asked to come back at 2:30pm, but showed up around noon since they checked out from the hotel already. Med fee is around P9200. Don't forget to let your Mom bring the letter from NVC that contains the MNL#. They will ask her the name of the petitioner, visa category, when is the expected departure, if there's a date for interview yet. Good luck...

Thnx aki :) yeah I downloaded the NVC letter.

  9. I called NVC on Monday and was told about case complete, also wait for the email regarding the interview appointment. My parents underwent a Medical exam already, and they have to wait at least 8 weeks for the sputum result at SLEC Manila. Probably the results will be released by Mid or Last week of June. And based on the threads, it normally takes 2 months to get an appointment for the interview, most likely the appointment will also be until June. But I don't know the date. Will the SLEC contact the US Embassy to let them know about the pending medical exam?

    Congrats Tin :)

  10. I asked my parents to do their medical exam early. Right now they are on their way to SLEC from Hotel Soriente where they will spend the night. I registered them both online in slec website. Printed and scanned that and emailed to them. I hope everything goes well.

Hi aki... what documents do you recommend for my mom to bring with her? Except her passport, we don't have an appointment or anything.
