my mom is planning to petition my half siblings when she gets here in the US, (planning on petitioning her) but the problem is they have different names on their bcert, my mom married my step dad (not legal) because my step dad is not annulled with his ex wife and they got married so that my step father's lastname will be carried by my half siblings, (i don't know how that happened, they live in province, so that's probably not valid) however my mom is still married to my biological father (deceased) which is legal, her name was Shirley Fuerte in my bcert, and my mom's name on my half siblings was Sharlie De Guzman which was lead to another confusion., My mom found out that she doesn't have a name registered in NSO in the Philippines, so shes gonna have to get a late registered in NSO, she is going to use (Shirley Fuerte) to match it in my bcert, since im petitioning her, so my question is, how is she gonna get my half siblings here with different names? because once she's here in the US she's gonna use the name in my bcert which is Shirley Fuerte not Sharlie De Guzman.

They do not need your photos.
They need your mom's marriage/divorce papers.
All copies, of course. Originals will be needed for NVC, but not with I-130.
wow i've read some forums that you still have to submit photos? so just to clarify, i don't have to submit them with I-130? and also my dad died when i was 6 years old do i need to submit death certificate of my dad as well?

Yes, I have heard about that law. And your mom can file a petition to correct the clerical error of your BC, have it changed from Shirley to Sharlie and may take up to 3 months, not sure tho maybe shorter coz of the new law. So, Your mom never used the name Shirley in any of her documents, I.D's right?
she used her name Shirley when she got married to my biological dad, but i don't know about the id's..Anyway, so we just talked the other night and she told me a year ago she got a mail from NSO and they informed her that she doesn't have any name registered on their file and that she needs to submit her bc and other documents from local civil registrar so she went to town to get the files looking for her birth certificate but they couldnt find the name shirley but they found her name is sharlie on her bc so maybe thats what she's been using for her id's i think, but she hasn't submit any documents to NSO yet until now. My mom had kids with my step dad and they had to get married because of them but thing is my step dad is not annulled with his former wife when they got married, so does that mean they're not legally married? (but they're still together) and so my mom is planning to get a late registration of her bc with her name SHIRLEY instead to match mine and also going to send me her marriage cert with my biological dad, and my dad's death cert. so when i petition her, her name would be Shirley and my biological dad's lastname. I'm still a bit confused and worried that what if they found out she was married with my step dad and she's carrying my dad's lastname?would it be an issue on filing my petition to her? because we planned to petition my siblings as well from my step dad once she gets her gc and another thing to worry because my siblings is carrying my stepdad's lastname and on their bc's my mom's name was Sharlie. (Sorry if i have mention too much details and for my long reply..)

This is normal for the USCIS, they actually pick up everything they get together for the same day. When I sent my package I got the same message and day later it got normally delivered. I wouldn't worry much about this, just check again tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
Thank you

i mailed my n400 documents on 03/05/13 Dallas Lockbox and got there today (dallas tx,75260) with a notice left (no authorized recipient available) which should be delivered today coz i sent it via priority mail ,now im so worried, this guy that works at USPS he's a filipino and offered me to get a signature confirmation since it was important documents but at first i was hesitating whether i should do it or not thinking what if nobody was there since its P.O box and they need to sign it
but i still did got the signature confirmation because i don't wanna lose my documents.. it also says on notice left the zip code was 75260 in my package i wrote 75266 and i also double checked the address to make sure i put the correct address. i can understand why it says notice left because based on the tracking confirmation they tried to deliver it around 7pm which i know office hours is already closed. i don't know what to do, should i wait until the next day? i really hope USCIS will pick up my mail or if usps redeliver im really hoping they will deliver it to the correct address
now im sooo regretting of getting the signature confirmation.

I had the same issue when I filled my petition for my parents. Mine and my father's last name in my NSO bc was mispelled due to clerical error. And I got an RFE coz of that.
They asked for a proof( photo I.D) that both last names are same person. Since I never used the mispelled last name on my BC, I sent the "Certificate of Finality" from NSO that was
issued when my dad filed a petition to correct the clerical errors in 2005. Note: USCIS doesn't accept AFFIDAVITS, they will need an Official document as a proof. But if your mom uses the name Sharley, she may need to provide a current photo Identification of hers(I.E: passport) Showing that Shirley and Sharley are the same person. You can send the proof with the I-130 packet. And as for the list of documents, the above information you mentioned are correct. You will also need to submit a copy of your mom's NSO BC, your parent's NSO Marriage Certficate and your Marriage Certificate if you are married to show your change of name. HTH!
What I am not sure of though, is if you will need to provide additional information coz your mom remarried to your step dad and might have changed her last name( I assume). And you may also need to submit your biological dad's death certificate. Maybe somebody else can provide an answer about this. And I may also do some research on this.
i've read that there's a new law by Aquino about correcting clerical errors in bc but thing is i can't process of changing my name in the philippines because im here in the US, do you think my mom can process my bc for me? and i believe her name from her birth certificate was Sharlie since the name Shirley is not registered, means no name found in NSO,.. even her marriage certificate from my biological dad her name is Shirley. i am so worried, i have no clue how to process it,

Some mark the form, show the docs, officer changes it. Basically a speeding ticket/traffic infringement isn't a big deal as long as it's less than $500 fine and didn't involve alcohol or drugs.
I marked "yes" on the application and i just ordered my driving records by mail (certified) from dmv, do you think its enough evidence if they asked for it to show that i paid the fines? some people said,. every interviewer is different they might or might not asked for the documents but what if they ask for proof like receipt the thing is my problem of where to get it. :/ thank you by the way

Im planning to petition my mom in the philippines once i become a US citizen, however,.My mom's name is different from my birth certificate,. in my bc it says Shirley (even on my babtismal record) but the name that was registered in NSO was Sharlie and not Shirley and she's currently using the name Sharlie, she was married with my deceased biological dad and her name on that marriage certificate was Shirley too, idk how that happened???. and now she's married with my step dad and her name was Sharlie in it., my mom is planning to get an affidavit certified by the registrar that Shirley and Sharlie are the same person,. do you think thats enough proof? or what should we do to fix this? and also what other documents do i need from my mom? Anyone can list other documents beside of the I-130 application, fees, my bc, and my certificate or naturalization that i have to submit? Thanks.

I didn't have any receipts because like I said I paid it over the phone they might have given me a confirmation but I didn't even saved it. Do you think I still have to provide that even though it states on n400 instruction that I do not need to submit any documents of traffic tickets as long as not related to DUI and fine over 500 well I only paid less than $200 and I don't remember the exact amount anymore.. I do have a the ticket to not yielding on red camera as well and paid $50 but see its not even a law enforcer that pulled me it was just a camera infraction.

do i have to disclosed my one time speeding ticket i got on 12/8/2011? on part 10 #16? even if its still under $500? i've read a lot of forums, some says you have to, some says you don't, i don't know if the rules have change should i call uscis ? im so confused what to write in the box either Yes or no? Anyone experience this? N400 2013 filers? i trashed my speeding ticket and now i dont have a copy, and i paid it over the phone so i didnt get any receipt.

If your husband had any previous marriages submit divorce copies. Your evidence is adequate but minimal. You do not have any children so no evidence relating to both of you as parents. It is what it is and you do not need children to naturalize.
Other things to consider adding...
Insurance which covers both of you as husband/wife...medical, life or home/renters, automobile. Authorizations from the bank for the other to handle the finances in case of death. A living will giving decision powers to the spouse. OFFICIAL documents showing the same address...drivers licenses, student ID, military ID, medical records indicating that your husband is your "emergency contact" and vice versa.
thank you so much for the help! GOD BLESS YOU! <3

help,. im so confused of what they mean by "if you are applying based on five years as a lawful permanent resident or based on three years as a lawful permanent resident married to a US citizen, you may apply for naturalization up to 90 days before you meet the "continous residence" requirement. You must meet all the requirements at the time that you file your application with USCIS"
i am filing under my marriage, 6 years of marriage but only 4 years of residency since i got my gc 12/04/2008.. does that mean i missed the filing under 3 years of marriage and have to wait for 5 year anniversary of residency before filing? im so worried that i may not able to file my citizenship because ive already gathered all documents and ready for submission until i read that part. Anyway i will have to call uscis tomorrow, but i wanna know if somebody experience this situation? to be honest i cannot wait for 1 more year of waiting because i want to petition my mom once i get my citizenship. Please enlighten me.
