  2. Hi UKers! I only just found out about this forum today! Hooray!

Is there a website where I can check the status of our case now? I do have a case number (from the letter my American fiance got) but I didn't get my letter yet.

How do I know when and how to schedule my medical? And when you book your medical, how soon can it be booked?

And is your interview scheduled by the embassy after they have the date of the medical? How long after the medical is the interview?

SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS! I'm getting worried that I've misunderstood the timeline!

https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Default.aspx copy and paste this address into your browser to check on your case.. The interview is about 4-6 weeks after your medical from what I understand...

  3. I really don't see it like that ... Yes America is built on immigration that's what makes America what it is.. But venting because the person at Nvc doesn't believe the document they have said isn't real is just venting.. It's not a racist comment about immigrants I'm sure we have all felt that the person at the end of the phone doesn't understand what we have said I'm I'm sure we have all said something not to pro quo... So all I'm saying is just help and don't because someone has vented

  4. Well the OP is dismissive about "immigrants" and talking about "real Americans" (I don't think he/she knows what they are!) on a site that consists of immigrants and their sponsors and when they are bringing another immigrant to the country themselves. Whilst it's amusing that the OP doesn't understand irony if you post something like that on a site about immigration a response of this nature is completely understandable.

  5. Hello,

I need some solid advice as I am very confused.

I have read many case reports before from individuals that scheduled their medical exam (this is for London) a few days before their interview date. However, I am seeing more recent threads where it seems like people are saying you need to have your medical completed BEFORE they will even let you book the interview - what is the actual procedure? I have a flight booked out to the USA (I will be going under VWP) to spend a month or so with my fiancee before the interview date, but if the medical needs to be completed before I can even request the interview, it seems like I'd have to get the medical done before I leave on the 15th of August otherwise my interview would be delayed by as long as I was out of the country, right?

I haven't received packet 3 Yet. As I understand it, I need to wait until I have packet 3 (or, until the London embassy has note of my case and then I could just download the forms myself and fill them out) and then send off the forms. When the forms are recieved, my interview will be scheduled... right? But do they also require that your medical is completed before even scheduling the interview now, or is it okay to have the medical later as long as it is 5 days prior to the interview date?

I'm sure it will be fine if I have to have the medical before I leave, it will just mean that I will have to pay the premium for the 2 day service on the police record request.

    Thanks for any help!

You will not be given an interview date until you have had your medical...

  6. Our K1 was originally sent to the Vermont Service Center and received on March 22, 2013. We got notice of it being moved on July 10, 2013. Any clue on how long it will be until we hear something further? I've read elsewhere that December and January filers are already getting approvals after having to wait so long. I hate it for those people that they had to wait so long, but I'm hoping for good news soon!

I got moved on 21.6.13 then got approved on the 5:7:13 so I guess not too long
