    So... I called the DOS this am as soon as I got to work to ask about our case status. I was put on hold twice. Once to check on my case status, then when I asked the question about my case showing it was updated on 3/6/13. After the second time on hold, I was told that everything had been completed from the US, that we are just waiting for the embassy in Cairo to complete their process. I'm not sure what to think about that?

      Have something quite comical/sad about my congressman's assistant. She needed help pronouncing Cairo today when she called me. Yes, she did not know how to say Cairo?? I had to say it for her. Isn't that intereseting?? We have had 3 updates this month, not sure if that is a plus, maybe due to her inquiring about our case? At least it something right?

      I received a call from my congressmans assistant yesterday asking me to sign a privacy release form so they can look into my case. I filled it out and sent it back. Hope that helps :)

      week? Some posts on here say to not call too much, some say to call twice a week?

      This was my first call ever to DOS,I didn't even know about it, until reading on this site 0-0 He did say we were still in administrative processing. I was confused when he said we are just waiting for everything to be completed in Cairo. I thought maybe he was new (in training)due to being put on hold twice? I only asked 2 questions. I am calling to check on my case, and second, What does it mean when it says my case was updated on 3/6/13. I'm not sure if I should call back next w...

    Well, I just got finished emailing my district congressman about our AP case per advice from another VJ member. Hope it helps our case and we get approved soon :)

      Thank you... Received an e-mail from the US embassy in cairo..Nothing new, just cont. AP. Checked the DOS website and it says our case was updated 3/6/13?? But says we are in administrative processing also..If he is not here by June, I foresee a trip to Egypt in July :)

    Yaseen is nearly 6 months old. We waited and waited and Sayed went to his interview and got pushed off to AP. That's when I got pushy back! I took it to congress and our AP got approved in less than one month! We are waiting for the website status to change but the congress rep forwarded me the consular e-mail telling her that my husband's case was approved! His visa will be arriving shortly! This has been a 9 month battle. And my son has spent his entire life up to no...
