I did send them the employment letter, W2, and Transcript of 2011/2012/2013, Should I also send them the 1040?
Another thing, I did send them all 9 pages of I-864, and I don't understand if I have to fix everything or just the points with [x] and written words, Part 6 is what is confusing me at the moment as I filled up the Total Gross income, and I submitted W2 and pay stub and employment letter...
-
I looked at the example for the I-864, listed in http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf
And filled it and sent it out, my wife is immigrating from Belarus to USA, we got our NoA 1 and NoA 2 approval and case went to NVC, and took 3 weeks for them to input it into the Computer, and my wife place of appointment we choose Warsaw, Poland.
Now after paying for my Wife and Step Son AOS fees and Civil Documents Fee, I've sent 2 separate AOS packages one for my wife, and one for my Step Son, and after waiting week and half, I got an email for check list, I followed everything listed in that example above, this is what the Check list contained

I doubt you'll be using the DS230, which is a form filled out online. Download the DS230. Don't read a bit about the next stage. Become an expert on it. You have plenty of time to do so.
Yea I wanna do that, just wondering something, as I started working recently and I've read somewhere that I won't be asked for affidavit of support until 4-6 months after I send I-130, is that true? if yes then that is great for me because my income can support family of 3 in Florida and little extra
-
Start now, by reading the guides. There's a whole dance you'll be doing with the National Visa Center. Do you homework and we'll help fill in the blanks. They guides are there so we don't have to spoon feed each new member from scratch.
Well I've read a bit about it...
The fee is $230.00 for the Immigrant Visa (IV) application. You also will need to pay $88.00 for the Affidavit of Support (AOS) application, if you need to file that. If your visa is approved, then before you enter the United States you will also need to pay $165.00 to USCIS to process your entry documents and your green card.
But I can't find the DS260 form to read it (prepare for it)

You're mixing things up. Just go to the post office and use a free correct size Priority Mail envelope. Address it to the PO Box, then take it up front and say you want to use Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. They'll know what to do.
Gotcha, after I do all this I will need to wait for response if approved what do I do?
-
I recommend "priority mail" with delivery confirmation. If you use other than the Post Office, make sure you use the courier address instead of the PO Box address. Only the PO can deliver to a PO Box.
I will be using USPS, but what you mean by courier address instead of the PO Box address? sorry I didn't read mail part yet as I'm at work
Also isn't priority mail not certified? or am I mixing things up
-
Hmmm got all documents ready, should I send it certified mail or express mail with USPS service?

Yes. It's a question. Answer it. Then what is unknown, answer unknown. Do not "lie". To name any other father than the true father would be a lie. To say the father's name is unknown when it IS known, is a lie. NEVER lie on an immigration form.
Ok in that case I will contact my wife and get how his name is written and write it as far for his Birthday I don't know if she carry that information, and where he live also or where he was born.
-
Then when asked for the father's name, answer with the actual father's name. It's a question. Answer it truthfully. It really IS that simple.
Even if the father name is not included on birth certificate and she doesnt know where he live or his date of birth?
-
The above is correct but it should be noted that the DS230 asks for information about the father. I'll address the OP's question about the child who doesn't know their father and how to answer the question as it WILL be asked on the DS230. Simply answer the question. The child has a father and the mother knows who he is. Any information KNOWN should be provided. Only information actually unknown and unobtainable should be responded to as unknown. When asked for the name of the father, "none" could never possibly be the correct answer.
These are "questions". Answer them. For example, the forms ask for my father's date of birth. I cannot tell you that from my head but it is NOT "unknown". It will take me a few second of effort to look it up. I don't remember my second wife's date of birth either but I was able to find it and enter it on the form. Don't take these questions likely and ALWAYS answer truthfully.
Ignore my previous post I hit submit before I was done, here is what I wanted to write
Yea the child father is known but the child doesn't carry any name of his father, his father got a total different name of the child birth certificate, that is my only concern at this point, as I saw a video on youtube
*it is an old video* but if you fast forward it to 16:00 and watch it from there, he filled in "unknown" that is the part that is getting me confused at the moment, should I list the birth certificate great grandfather name who died (since by law in Belarus she must include a father name and she used her great grandfather) or should I fill in unknown, that is the only left concern and I appreciate all the efforts you guys are doing to help out!
Now I understand that I don't need G-325A for the child but as you can see the video's are confusing on Youtube... so as far as I understand as following
For my wife petition I send following information
1- Form I-130
2- Form G-325A for her
3- Form G-325A for me
4- Copy of Original Marriage certificate
5- translation of marriage certificate + notary
6- photo of her entire passport
7- photo of my entire passport
8- photo of her birth certificate with translation and notary
9- photo of my naturalization (extra)
10- photos of our wedding as evidence
11- cover letter of on going relationship
12- any extra evidence of relationship emails etc...
13- 3 Buddy o'mine for affidavit
14- $420 money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security
And for her son petition I send following separately from her's
1- Form I-130
2- Form G-325A mine (is this needed?)
3- Birth Certificate of the child & translation in English + Notary
4- Photo copy of Original Marriage certificate
5- Translation of marriage certificate + notary
6- $420 money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Please tell me if I miss something here?

One more question, as for form G-325A, where it says "Father family name / first name / place of birth / date of birth (For my step child) my wife 5 year old child, he never met his father and his mother gave him the name of her great grandfather who died long time ago, should i fill in that information or should i write "unknown" or "none"
OK well you've asked your questions. I've answered (as have others). If you feel like sending items that are not required then go ahead.
You still haven't answered about the age of the "child" and whether or not it is actually a child under 18.
No photos of children under 18 are required at this point. They are necessary later so I would save the passport photos for NVC.
I've provided the link to the necessary items for the child. The requirements for a child under 18 are very minimal and clear.
I'm not an expert but my interview is in 10 days so my advice is based on making it this far successfully with myself and my two children having everything go through smoothly.
Good luck with everything.
The child is 5, will be 6 in August, but what you mean will need passport photo for NVC? Is that from my side or my wife side at interview? And did you include photos on the petition I-130
-
Please download the instructions (it's a PDF) http://www.uscis.gov/i-130 and read them carefully. The instructions tell you EXACTLY what you need to include with a spouse petition AND with a step-child petition.
It doesn't say anything about photos for the step child in the I-130
-

They DO need their own application. BUT the requirements of supporting documents are different. Unless they've changed it since we filed in October you do not need all of those extra items. The instructions can be found here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c67c7f9ded54d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD
Please read the part about step-child if it is actually a CHILD. I don't think I saw the age of the "child" you are speaking about. What is the age of the child?
The marriage certificate is to show the marriage took place before the child's 18th birthday, as I mentioned before and is worded as such in the instructions. If the child is older I don't know the details. I only know what pertained to me as our children are 4 and 7.
Well, photos I must include I believe, and as written in instruction copy of marriage certificate and birth certificate (which I already included) and cover letter (which lawyers recommend) and copies about my information which as a petitioner should do, extra documents just to have supporting evidence i guess... I mean having extra documents can't be bad, or can it?
-
Like pushbrk said, read and take things literally. The I-130 doesn't ask for your address where you live. It asks for your address, as in, mailing address.
Also, make sure you read the instructions carefully. The requirements for your step-child are different for those of your spouse. Read the instructions, follow them step by step, nothing more and certainly nothing less. You don't send pictures of your child, you don't send G-325 for your child's application. You do send your marriage certificate to show when you got married to his/her mother AND the child's birth certificate in order to show they were still a child when you got married to their parent.
From what I've read for Spouse visa, I need to file a separate petition for the child (G-325A / I-130 / Photos / evidence / cover letter / copy of passport / copy of Birth Certificate with English translation / Copy of marriage certificate with English translation & notarization / copy of my passport / 2 photos of me and 2 photos of child (you know the regular processing papers, and I asked a lawyer about if I need to provide single mother document and he said yes any extra documents I can provide would be helpful toward approval.
-
Put it on the I-130 is what he meant. Not the G325a.
I understand that, but I don't see a section where it asks me for P.O Box in the I-130, unless I should put my P.O Box address in the physical address field?
-
Like I said, put the PO Box on the residence address on the G325a.
And that is where it is getting confusing, some people say put on I-130 which I don't see any place where to put unless I change my home address, and on G-325A I see address for last 5 years, I lived in same house for almost 6 years now, should I write the P.O address as present address, or the house address? or corresponding address?
I'm little lost here, and I'm hoping someone who been through same situation to write what they did with this or someone with experience in this field, I don't want to send papers and later on move to another address and everything goes to my old address and by accident gets thrown away or something from that sort.
-
Please not corrections
1. You are not an alien but you do have an A number. Enter it, if known.
2. Correct. You cannot live in a PO Box. Put that address on the I-130 if you want.
4. City and state of employer is fine.
So what do you suggest about the P.O Box then? as I need to have the immigration paper forwarded to that P.O Box in case I change address, as you know these documents are confidential.
-
Also by any chance, when they send back the petition after I file, do you or anyone here happen to know the size of the petition? because I'm looking at my choices of letter size with P.O Box
-
My answers are in red
16- My Birth Certificate with translation to English (not needed if you're including your passport that shows your citizenship)
If you are naturalized you need to include photocopies of that information!
There should be an address section otherwise. A PO box is not a physical address. But the address on the G325a is NOT how they determine where to send your mail... that's on the I-130.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for these answers, I became citizen through naturalization, do I need photo copy of my naturalization certificate? or birth certificate?
and about physical address on I-130, I heard most of people can forward the USCIS petition respond like I-130 and the NVC as well AoS to a P.O Box, so I was wondering how to do that, thanks a lot!
Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank the moderator and administration of this website as they are doing a great job!!!
Now my case here is as the following:
My wife and I got married in Mexico this January 30th of 2013, she is a Belarus Citizen and I'm a Jordanian Citizen with dual citizenship to USA, in another word U.S Citizen, after reading and spending hours and hours of studying papers and getting the correct documents I enlisted the following documents for the I-130 petition...
1- I-130 form
2- G325A form from my wife
3- G325A form from myself
4- Notarized translation of our marriage certificate to English
5- Notarized translation of my wife birth certificate to English
6- Notarized translation of my wife divorce decree (never been married)
7- Notarized translation of my wife as a single mother (her child is 5 year old)
8- 2 photos passport style of myself, 2 photos passport style of my wife
9- 4 Wedding photos as evidence of us getting married
10- Cover letter indicating our ongoing relationship status
11- Photo copy of entire passport of my wife
12- Photo copy of entire passport of myself
13- Money Order of $420
14- Few receipts of Western Union of me supporting my wife while she is outside the country before marriage
15- 3 documents of Buddy O'Mine to indicate that I knew my wife for a long time with notarize as well.
16- My Birth Certificate with translation to English
Now what I'm missing here is the following information as I'm unsure of what I need to fill in those blanks...
Starting with Form G-325A:
1- The section on the top right hand corner of the paper "File Number A" do I leave this blank or do I fill in my old Alien Registration number?
2- Applicant's Residence last five years. List present Address first. (I been living at my parent house for 5 years and half, but I want this process to go through a P.O Box that I will be buying just in case I leave the house and rent an apartment for me and my wife, so how can I file that P.O Box as a return address, what should I write and where?
3- This form is submitted in connection with an application for: (what should I file here exactly? I read few examples that says *Others* Petition I-130* and some other examples say *Status as Permanent Residence*) so which one is more correct to choose?
4- Work name and address, do I need to file full address or just include city name? like "MB Development, Miami" or full address of the company I work with?
Now going for next part Form I-130:
1- Question #22 in the form, about the adjustment of status, I know Belarus and USA diplomatic relation is broken and they don't process visa or interview in Belarus, and closest embassy over there that does this work is located in Warsaw, Poland... So do I fill in Warsaw Poland, or do I keep it blank? (N/A)
And finally her son petition, I include almost identical information of passport copy, birth certificate, single mother, letter explaining parent situation, 2 photos of him, 2 photos of me, my passport copy, my birth certificate copy, money order of $420.
Thanks for your time and I hope I get a quick response so I can be done with this long mission and not waste anymore time!
I-864 check list, need some help please.
the problem here is part 6... I've checked my 1040 and transcript and its the same exact numbers I wrote for them in 13.a and 13.a.1 same with 2012 and 2011... not sure what is the problem... I checked both 1040 and transcript...
