We received 10 year green card last Monday in the mail - and the letter stating he was approved a day later (LOL)! Wasn't expecting it this early so it was a lovely surprise! Updated our timeline.

Oh really that's lame, hopefully you don't need to travel out of the country any time soon. I will just put that date, i'm sure it's close enough
Well we're visiting another country in a couple months. Do we need the NOA1 for that?

Got the list updated for you guys.
I removed @elsie2500, i'm not sure what's up with that, but they appear to be January filers now.
@NorrisSF, @Biaframan, @gingerb, @samsings - could you guys please update us with your NOA1 receipt date & biometrics appointment date
@MCherie, can we please have your NOA1 receipt date?
@raflen, can we please have your biometrics appointment date?
After we get all of this info, our list will be complete..at least until we start getting RFE's/Approvals coming in or if people do bio walk-ins of course
Not sure of my receipt date for NOA1 as I never got the letter in the mail. When I called she said it had been accepted which was Jan 22, 2017. So I guess just put that date??
Hubs just finished biometrics. Woo!

So I was finally able to get to a higher up officer at USCIS asking about our case and why we never got a receipt. She said that biometrics are scheduled Feb 10 (we filed Dec 20) but we still haven't gotten anything in the mail.
She gave us the receipt number to track online and all it's showing is case was received and fee waiver was approved.
????

Anyone know what's going on? It's been 3 weeks since we filed and heard nothing but looks like January filers are getting NOAs already. ?

Please add me to the list. Filed 12/20/16 (:

What exactly are the "conditions" for a conditional permanent residence? Just that they get two years in America unless we file to remove conditions? Can a person work with this type of green card? What are the "rules" and rights of a person with this green card. Just curious..

Oh wow, you only had ONE checklist and it took them that long to review?
Yup. I know. RIDICULOUS. Thank you NVC for being SO SLOW.
-
Good gracious. What happened with your case since June? Checklists? (Time to update your signature )
Congrats by the way!
We got the one checklist (which I think is on the spreadsheet) and that was it. I thought we had a second one, but it wasn't. Every time I called they were like "still processing". 60 days my butt!! Hopefully now this nightmare is close to an end.
-
FINALLY. A case complete. NVC you take so long that I got pregnant, had a baby, and watched her grow all the way to 6 months old, all before you finished my case! Boo!
-
I received another checklist. Will I have to wait another 60 days when they receive my new documents? It's been 50ish days since they got my documents from my last checklist. Do I really have to start the wait over???

I can probably take off the AOS and IV paid columns as like you said, most people fill it out right away. And the DS-261 one as well as again, most people fill it out ASAP. But, I know many people take their time with the DS-260 and don't submit it right away, so it might make more sense to keep that one. Although, I can probably remove when the DS-260 becomes available as, unless things have changed, it's pretty soon after the IV bill appears as PAID.
Just mention it at the interview
Congratulations! I don't know the answer to the question, but I would imagine that everything would be understood to be true and accurate as of the date submitted.
Sounds good to me!! Thanks everyone.

First, congrats on the new addition to your family! Second, since the baby is in the US with you, I don't think it will pose an issue, since the baby isn't immigrating with him, baby is already here.
I'm not 100% for sure about that, but I'm sure someone else will chime in :-)
That's what I was thinking, but I want to be positive! God forbid I get a checklist, and another delay. Sigh

I need some advice here. I filed the ds260 online for my husband (beneficiary), and on the application there was a section about beneficiary's children. At the time he didn't have any kids, so I put that on the application. Well this week we welcomed our first baby. Should I call the NVC and update the application or just leave it how it is? Does it really matter?? I don't want to cause a delay by updating the application, or by not updating it when I should have.
Thoughts?

This question has probably been asked a million times, for that I apologize.
On the ceac.state website, I've sent in all the packets and filled out the forms online and paid all the fees. My question here is, under Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence it says N/A. Does this ever change? Should I be concerned that it still says N/A? Everything else says either completed, or paid, but under that section and under the DS260 "Civil Documents" section it says N/A. I'm not so concerned about the civil documents one because I only recently sent in the IV packet.
-
Quick question - for the IV package (trying to prepare) the wiki says to send a photocopy of the beneficiary's bio-data page in their passport. Do I (the petitioner) have to send mine as well? I had my name changed after getting married, so my passport and social security cards don't even match anymore. My passport is the only thing I have with my maiden name on it.
If I do need to send mine as well, will the fact that it has my maiden name on it, while nothing else does, matter? Thanks.

Hey guys when I am trying to login and pay my fees .I am getting an error.I am so tensed. Can someone plz help me that what does mean by this error
This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.
This is normal! Check back in a few days to pay fees!
-
Checked to see if AOS fee was available this morning, no luck. Received an email from NVC about 30 mins ago and went to check again, it was available and I paid it right then. I already had my AOS packet ready to ship off so I'll be sending that later today or tomorrow morning. Man that was quick LOL. Such a change from USCIS!
-
Just filed out the DS-261 form and went to the fee page (I know its to early still). Is it normal to receive this message?

Yes it is normal!
You will get an email when DS261 and AoS fee are invoiced and available.
Good luck
Yay! Thanks!
-
This is normal right? I got this message when checking case on the CEAC website. I know my forms probably aren't ready yet I just wanted to visit the site and see what it looked like and get acquainted with it.
So is this normal for when waiting on forms and fees to become available?

Hi there,
Did you ask for IIN number? I thought we were suppose to ask if the case number has been assigned and if they can give us the IIN number...I may be wrong...and that's what I did. The rep asked me back what IIN was...and provided me 7 digit number...now that after reading your post I am thinking she probably gave me my case number...Did they provide you the actual case number? Does it include 7 digits?
Thanks
I didn't ask for IIN cause my rep was kind of bitchy (maybe I'm just to pregnant and think everyone is bitchy LOL). I figured I can call again later and see if I get someone a bit nicer before trying to get that number.
In any case my case # looks a lot like my receipt number from USCIS - as in, it starts with 3 letters and then has some numbers.
-
Finally have a case number!! Quick question - I called up the NVC and I didn't give over my email address (apparently she already knew it because she quoted it to me and I was like, sounds right!). In any case, do I just wait for an email now? I looked over the NVC wiki and I know I'm waiting for the first form DS something or other. Do I just sit back and wait for the emails to come now?
-
Call the NVC and get your case number, iin, and hand over your emails. also read this

If you mean the letter stating the green card was in production we got it one day after thr actual green card arrived.
if you mean status change online from uscis website then I’m unsure. The last status I saw on there was the “fee waiver” status then the green card came in the mail last week. 🤷♀️
