  1. Hello everyone!

I'm confused about this I-131 AP, I'm preparing my documents for my AOS and I don't know if I needed to include Advance Parole application or not. We have plans on goin back to my homeland for a 2 weeks vacation but it will be in December 2015. So, do I still need to get this Advance Parole or not, cause im thinking maybe by that time, hopefully, I will have my greencard. Follow up question, if I got that CONDITIONAL green card, am I allowed to travel outside US without that advance Parole thing?

    TIA :)

  2. Hi sweetheart, well the thing is that once your I94 is expire you are basically out of status. You cannot travel outside the US (I mean you can, but cannot get back unless your husband starts another immigration petition like cr1), you cannot get a driver license or work. And if you past the 180 day mark is considered as an overstay. Normally an overstay is forgiven for an USC's spouse but if you try to travel with an AP (after submitting AoS) you can have serious to reentry. I now that paying $1070 is hard but having a gc is the most important thing right now. Try to get a loan or ask money to your family or close friends.

Hello thank you for the reply, you mentioned about the 180 days, is it started from my arrival date here or a day after my I-94 expired?

  3. Hello! I came here in US as a K1 visa holder and got married August 17, 2013. I know that i need to file for my AOS but our problem is we don't have money yet for it. My I-94 is about to expire on Sep 6 too, so, i can't get state id and change my ssn lastname coz they told me the same reason, that my I-94 will be expired soon and i need to show them either my EAD or permanent residence card which i dont have yet. My questions are :

    1. Am i still safe to stay here even if i had only marriage certificate or an expired I-94?

    2. Is it ok to file the AOS maybe after a year of staying here? My husband said that maybe next year i will be able to file for it.

I'm so worried about my status here. thanks for the reply smile.png

  4. I'm happy for those who got their approvals and at the same time feeling Envy! Every time i see posts here saying they got the good news, my hopes are starting to reach on the highest level and expecting that any day soon i will have mine too.. but the more i think of it the more it looks so far to have it. why they got theirs and why we cant? we contacted senator too but not heard any yet from them or still no changes of our case status. Hopes and expectations do always go together, when you hope of something of course you are expecting of that thing will happen. Am i wrong or right about this?

8 months and 8 days since NOA1... :crying:

  5. Yes -I agree on the long wait times - been there -done that & sadly doing it again after 20 years!! Heres what id suggest-it works- Write a detailed =Hand Written!! letter to your states -usa= congressman & senator.!! Give them your full names on k1 forms govt assigned ID #'s for the filing and your return address. Be Polite! Simply ask them to look into the case & see what help they can do / offer!! This should be done after soem 3-4 months wait after filing. It doesnt hurt & you likely will be surprised at the reply (good thing!!) as these elected officials have direct phone #'s to the govt offices & can get around the beurocratic BS!! We -cant - they can!!. I have done this before & it worked for me !! I also will do again in about 2 months again. Hope this helps all.

thanks for the vote of confidence. we did all those things that u have mentioned and now we are waiting for the positive response, i know it will be... soon...

  6. I'm waiting for my turn to come just like the others, at least we did try something. I can't just sit here and do nothing while you can see how other people tried their best to make their's work. So, if you just want to wait and do nothing, then WAIT. For me and based on my little understanding about LIFE, It's like this, don't just leave everything to fate/destiny or to God, He HELPS those who help themselves... :innocent: So, i did something to help myself and i know and i believe that He will help me with this... Goodluck to ME and my F, and to all of us here who are not tired of finding ways to make the impossible become POSSIBLE!!!

  7. Oh, I'm not donning my tinfoil hat yet, but ones that I have seen report success with their congressmen lately seem to be of one particular political party, while others that report no action/success/or indifference to their plight are of another political party. And your result also fits that pattern.

oh ic,, well, i hope ours belong to that "party" who have helped a lot of petitioners. actually it was just a wild guess for us to contact Sen. Kirk instead of the other one. But when we viewed each sites, we liked more of Kirk's services, but of course, politically speaking, my F is with Kirk's party.. i guess you know what i mean.

BTW, i have read a lot of your posts/comments and in my own little understanding, lol, i bet you are a smart person... thank you for sharing your knowledge to us...

  8. On March 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

    :dance::dance:

Why did I get approved and many from July and August are still waiting? I contacted my congressman and they were willing to keep contacting them over the past few weeks including talking to supervisors there. Without their help I'm sure I'd still be waiting. So, go do whatever you can to get the process moving for you, it CAN help.

wow! congrats!!! i like hearing good news!

  9. Last week we sent a request of assistance to Illinois' senator thru their website and my f got a reply this morning, advised to call their office, so, he made a call to their office to explain more about the said request. They asked for some papers to be sent to their office ASAP. Hope this will work, for the USCIS people to touch our case. Guys you may try this also, contacting your senators thru their websites, we just did. I didn't expect at first that they're goin to pay attention to our request, coz, i heard some websites aren't useful for some reasons, like they just put it there, just like that, lol. But when we sent it, we prayed for God's miracle to make it work, and He answered. I believe that this is the START! Keep on praying guys and do some ACTIONS.

Good Luck to all of us!

  10. Like all journeys it is up to you how you feel about it. Maybe look at the positives instead of negatives. I wouldn't spend to much time focusing on what a website says for processing, some will get done sooner and some will get done later. The next step is very fast, I would prepare everything #### the Philippines embassy has ability to do interviews within 1 week. I got caught unprepared and had to wait a month to get everything together for the interview.

thank you sir/madam, but all the necessary documents are ready, i've been preparing since the day my f filed the petition  . my mind, body and soul are ready too, on what to DO next..all im waiting is the GO SIGNAL from their good office...

  11. been 238 days from NOA1 and I can't see even a tiny light from the NOA2. why we have to suffer from other people's fault and lack of considerations of our feelings? I pray for this NOA2 everyday but why I cant have it, seems that the more i pray, the more it gets far from me. Is it because DACA's filer is praying more than me? Why those people who filed after me got the approval first, it isnt fair right? I'm happy for them of course but why cant i be happy for ME? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! :crying:
