Ok. So my friend's mom petitioned for my friends older sisters (both over 21) and their 6 children (toddlers at the time of petition) back in the 1995. They finally found out it was approved early this year. When they went to the interview they were told that 2 of the children now over 21 can no longer come to the U.S because they are over the age of 21 and the interviewer stated that Trump Admin made this chaged. Is this true? Anybody experience the same? Do they have any options from here for the 2 adult children to come to the U.S? Thanks for your time.

He will be a citizen when mom becomes a citizen.
Thanks for your reply. How do I go about getting my stepson's citizenship after his mom becomes a citizen? Can I just apply him for an American Passport? Then that would be his proof of American Citizenship?

I, U.S citizen petitioned my stepson through I-130 to come here in 2014. He was 12 years old at that time. His mother is currently in the process of filing for her U.S Citizenship. She came here in 2010 through fiancé visa. Is my stepson a citizen? Since I'm a citizen and I petitioned him and he's under age. Or does he become citizen once his mother (my wife) become a citizen? Thanks for your time.

My wife is in the process of filing for her citizenship and I just have a couple of questions.
1. For first part of the N400 form: Info Of Eligibility not sure which one she should check.
A. 5 years lawful permanent resident OR B. lawful resident for at least 3 years and married and living to U.S citizen for at least 3 years
My wife came to the US on a fiancé Visa on 2010. Its been more than five years since she got her Permanent Card.
2. On the instruction for the N400 it states to submit just the photographs, copy of permanent resident card, current legal status document and documents for military. For the rest of the supporting documents such as proof of husbands' citizenship, evidence that we lived in marital union for last 3 years, children's birth certs and tax returns for the last 5 years bring to the interview. I also printed out the checklist from the USCIS site and on there it states that include the supporting document with my N400 form when we file it. So should I include it in the packet or have my wife bring it in the interview?
Thanks for your time.

Does he has his CFO sticker in his passport?
Yes sir. He just got that done yesterday. Anything else He or I need to do or get? Thanks for your reply.

Hi. My son just got his passport with visa and envelope yesterday and I'm getting ready to book his flight. My questions are: Does he need to do anything else from here? Any seminar or class? Aside from the DSWD paperwork does he need any other paperwork to travel alone? He is 12 years old and I will be paying extra to the Airline Company to make sure that he is escorted. Thanks for your time.

you should write the total income.on your 1040 A...not the adjustedgross income one...
Thanks for your reply. So you don't think it will be a problem since the total income on our 1040A would be me and my wife's income for that year? Because one of the requirements to use the 1040EZ is to only use my own income. Salamat uli.

Hi. I'm planning on using I864EZ and kind of confused on what to fill out for Part 5 # 19. Me and my wife filed joint taxes 1040A for the last 3 years. I'm not sure which number to write for my total income. Would it be the one on my W2? or the total income in our 1040A? or the adjusted gross income in the 1040A? Thanks in advance.

to the top. would like to know this as well. specifically what to put in Part 5 #19 when filed joint taxes. Thanks.

The case is forwarded to NVC and it's already in their system. I got my NVC Case # too. I just filled out the DS-261 and paid for AOS Fee. What do I do next? Am I suppose to receive anything from NVC on what to do next? Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for your reply. May I ask now that your petition is approved. Whats next? What paperwork do you need to submit now? Im just looking ahead. Thanks again.

Approval date, Today (Jan 17, 2014) is my Son's Bday. Thank you USCIS for the Bday Gift.
Hi. Congrats on your quick approval. If it's not too much to ask, can you please post a list of what you've included in your I-130 packet? I'm about to mail my stepson's packet and I just want to make sure I have all of what they're looking for. So far I have the following;
1. Personal check in the amount of $420.00 for filling fee.
2. Form G-1145.
3. Form I-130.
4. Form I-130 Additional Sheet.
5. Copy of Certificate Of Marriage.
6. Copy of Stepson's Birth Certificate.
7. Copy of my wife’s green card and my unexpired U.S passport
The are no divorce papers for me and my wife since we both never been married before. Thanks for your time.

I'm in the process of filling for my stepson's I-130 and I just realized that in his birth certificate he doesn't have a middle name or a middle initial and his last name is my wife's maiden name. Although, his bio father's name and signature is in the birth certificate. My wife and his bio father we're never married and separated when my step son was born.
My question is would this be a problem?
Would it be ok for me to fill out the I-130 exactly the way his name is in his BC? No Middle name
When he gets his passport I wonder if they let him get it without a middle name.
My step son is currently in the Philippines and he is under 18 years old.
I greatly appreciate any replies. Thanks for your time.

How hard is it to obtain a passport for a minor child? Where do we start? Im in the process of petitioning my stepson to join me and wife here in the U.S. He is currently in th phils staying with my wife's sister and father. What documents to we need to send them? Thanks for your time.

Thanks for all your replies. I greatly appreciate all your help. I was just reading all the info and instructions for I-130 and I just have one last question. Below are the other documents I need to submit along with the form I-130. I have #1 and #2. But dont have #3 since my wife was never married to my stepson's biological father. They pretty much part ways right after my stepson was born. If I just submit #1 and #2 would that be sufficient? Thanks
Step-parent (step-mother or step-father)
1 A copy of your step-child’s birth certificate issued by civil authorities
2 A copy of your civil marriage certificate to your step-child’s biological parent
3 Proof of the legal termination of all previous marriages for you and/or the biological parent (divorce decree, death certificate, annulment decree)

She has to do it as you cannot file for a stepson. It will be faster if she gets her citizenship.
About how long will it take if she petition him as a green card holder? She wont be able to file for citizenship until the end of the year. We was hoping to get him here before the end of the year. Thanks for tour time
How old was your stepson when you married his mother?
How old is your stepson now?
Is he married?
He was only 8. He's 10 now.

She has to do it? Can I file it? Would it be faster if I file the petition since Im a citizen? Thanks for ur reply. I greatly apprecite it.

Hi. I petitioned my wife through K1 visa. When I filed the I-129F my stepson's name was included but that was almost 3 years ago. Now I would like to petition my stepson to come here in the U.S. From what I've read so far, I will need to file for I-130. Is this correct? What other paperwork I need to do? What other documents do I need to turn in? Thanks for your time.

Hi. How long did it took for you to get your NOA/Extension from the day you shipped your I-751 packet? Thanks.

I have done my research but still not sure. I am in the process of filing for my wife’s ROC. Me and my wife have a child together who was born here in the U.S. I also have a step son who is currently in the Philippines who we are planning to petition through I-30 later on this year. My question is do I need to list their names in the Part 5 of I-751? I know the forms states to “List All Children” but the instruction says only the dependents/kids who are also applying for condition to be removed.
Thanks for your time.

Documents to bring to interview based on 5 years+ Green Card

Hi don't mean to hi jack your thread but may I ask what documents did your ex husband include in his application package? My wife is in process of filing and she has been a green card holder for more than 5 years now. Right now we just have the N400 form, copy of her green card front/back and check for the fee. She has no prior marriages and haven't traveled outside the U.S since she immigrated here. Thanks for your time.
