NVC received NOA2 May 17th processed and case number assigned May 20th
-
Is NVC on the fast track...our case took an amazing four days and enroute to Manila
and for the older links on VisaJourney the interview fees are now 350.00 us

i had the same or similar RFE...i gave a short explanation on how we met..there main concern was proof of meeting within the last two years so i included passport stamps, boarding passes, bank statements, and numerous receipts and photographs. Since I was fortunate enough to present an award at a local pageant i had photos of myself with banners in the background. All photos were time and date stamped also.
Good luck
God Bless

Am confused I have read that ST Lukes in Manila needs the INTERVIEW SCHEDULE LETTER for the medical but thought the medical needed to be done about a week before the interview. So does that mean you schedule the Interview out a couple of weeks then schedule your medical before your interview?
All threads seem to indicate scheduling the interview first yet you need the medical done before the interview

The frustration felt by many toward USCIS is due to the non binding time standards for the processing of legal immigration issues. The reforming of our immigration system should take the guesswork out of the process and establish MANDATORY STATUTORY processing times for legal immigration petitions. If this were to be enacted people could actually plan their respective futures.
-
Anyone here who recently received and returned their RFE to CSC get their NOA2 and if so how long did it take?
thanks
-
Hopefully it will a scathing critique as the Legal system is in sad need of repair. Instead of "standards" for processing petitions the USCIS needs to have statutory guidelines for processing. There should be plenty of horror and sad stories to put together a very emotionally moving and hence effective video for distribution.

Everywhere on the national News Immigration Reform is a hot topic. It would be terrific if communities such as VisaJourney would send emails and contact the WhiteHouse to effect Immigration reform. Help us fix the system.
Suggested language is as follows:
Now the WhiteHouse and President Obama have decided to make Immigration Reform a priority it should be a priority to "fix" some of the irregularities and issues with the existing Immigration System. Currently the USCIS has established what they consider to be "timely standards" for processing legal immigration petitions. These "standards" need to be made into STATUTORY processing times. Across the Immigration system, loved ones are forced to be apart well beyond the standard processing time of five (5) months for K1 and K3 visas. Families are kept apart for intolerable lengths when legal immigrants attempt to bring their children or other family members here to be with them. The list of issues with our existing Immigration System are many, It is time to reform and modernize our current system by setting statutory processing times for ALL forms of legal immigration.
Feel free to use this or your own language and terminology.

I find www.sulit.com.ph an invaluable resource. You can search rentals as well as other properties by selected area. Foreigners can't own "real property" without being married to a filapina(o). You can however own a condo (lifetime lease).
Good luck on your adventure.

The slowdown facts may not be totally accurate now still there are many from July and August still waiting. The end goal of the petition is to make USCIS set up mandatory processing guidelines for all "legal forms" of immigration. The fact that there own standard for processing K1 visas is 5 months, yet now and many times in the past they have fallen far short of this "standard".
When this petition expires I will be refiling a reworded petition addressing the need to set Mandatory processing guidelines.
Have a terrific day.

Lots can happen when the process is so long. I have been my future wife's sole support now for over a year as I am sure many here are also. We recently discussed some of the very sad stories here about fiance's dying. I want my wife to be to know that there is no doubt about my depth of love so I immediately made her my beneficiary on both my bank accounts and my life insurance and accidental death policies. We are getting close to our NOA2 as I am sending the RFE information within a week.
Wish everyone here the best. Please sign the petition.
-
Sorry for your loss also. My fiance and I discussed what would happen to her if something were to happen to me before she was to get here. I made her the beneficiary on my 2 Life Insurance policies immediately

On my RFE it said copy of the photo portion as well as copy of the entry and departure stamp page or pages. I am also including copies of receipts, 30 plus photos in one I am presenting a trophy at a beauty pagent with the location and date of the pagent on the back of the stage, the rest are photos of myself and my fiance. Further copies of my bank statements with activity from different locations in the Philippines as well as boarding passes, e-ticket copies. I am also including a few pages of chat logs to show continuing relationship even though that was not requested.
-
now i am worried too, just got my RFE hardcopy and they are asking for photos with date and time. Digital photos don't print out with date and time but the cd of the photos when you click on the photos does give time and date as well as camera information.
On my RFE it says not to include CD????
Anyone know how to print out digital photos with the date and time on them?

Although interest has subsided now that CSC is moving I am still reading postings for people waiting beyond the
5 month "goal" set by USCIS for processing K1 visa's
