  1. hello,

I am in the same state of confusion. I received the email from my local embassay that no packet is required in mail; download forms online and courier them. Now my confusion is do i have to pay the visa fees or my fiancee the petitioner ? and if I have to pay it... than how and where do i pay ?

    Can you suggest me please

This question is probably answered somewhere in another forum...but the more I read the more confused I get

My fiancee is from the Phillipines. She is going to St Luke's on Tuesday for her medical interview for a K-1 Visa. We called NVC and got our case number, but never did get packet from embassy. From what I read on this site, you can go ahead and call to schedule interview and get the medical exam without packet from embassy as sometimes they don't send it,

According to St Luke's clinic web site, one of the required documents is Visa Interview Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC). She has a print out of the confirmation letter for the interview date and a copy of the letter I got from NVC telling me the visa has been approved and sent to embassy.

Will this be enough documentation? Anybody else go for medical without receiving packet from embassy

    Thanks for your input

  4. please check if the forms you have filed are not expired ones. check the form expiry dates.

the forms you should be sending are

    i-129f

    Letter Of intent

    g-325a

    2x2 2 photographs

    passport size photographs as well.

    all the evidences

    regards,

We are right at the beginning...we sent in the I-129F...it was sent back 2X within 2 wks..(different eac#'s each time) It was sent back along with all documents and money order..due to missing "Classification Sought" Should we have just bit the bullet and hired an immigration attorney...we got an immigration document preparer to do it...but he had an Immigration Attorney look at the first rejection and he was in wonder...

  5. Many Congratulations :) May You both live happily ever After.

and that is really true that VJ is damn helpful. Remember us all in your prayers as i am waiting for my NOA2 as well :)

    Regards,

I'm so excited and I am in such a rush to catch my train to work I forgot to thank everyone on VJ for all of their helpful advice :D. I didn't use an immigration lawyer and we didn't receive any RFEs. My advice is to read the information on VJ and the USCIS website thoroughly before sending in your application. Thanks again and god bless you all!

  6. Thanks alot :) Happy to hear that ... Your Feedback is a great help ...

    Stay Blessed

There are two "deadlines"- the visa deadline is when you need to enter the USA by- it is usually 6 months after you receive the visa, but may be less, especially if your medical was a long time before your interview.

Then, when you enter, a new countdown starts to a 90 day deadline to get married- this is independent from the visa deadline so whether you move to the USA on the day after you get the visa or 6 months later, you still get 90 days to get married.

  7. Hi Everyone,

I am new to this very very helpful website. First of all i would like to say thanks to the admins who uploaded the example forms and helped us through out. Our Forms were so correctly filled that the attorney was surprised at the perfection :D

Secondly, I am currently working in a multinational company who have the policy of serving 3 month after putting the resignation. I wanted to inquire whether the period of 90 days starts as soon as the VISA is received to the alien fiancee or once he/she lands to US.

    Regards,

    Sehrish Khan
