I sent my i90 off on 9th November 2017, biometrics on 28th November 2017 and new card arrived on 16th January 2018.
All in all a very hassle free experience.

My employer told me the other day, that I'm ok to work even though my card expires and that they don't need to reverify my status as I'm a permanent resident. Thinking a bit of research always gets things sorted out....
To top it all off, my new card is already on its way. Only took 2 months to get my new card renewed.
Thanks for all your help everyone.

Wonder why you didn't go with driver's license and unrestricted SSN for employment purposes? That's all I ever showed to my employer.
My drivers license expires when my resident card expires.

You are ok to work, but if your employer wants proof that you are, get him a copy of your renewal receipt or NOA, or whatever you got after you applied for your renewal.
The only thing I have is the receipt that I did my biometrics.

My 10 year resident card expires 31st March and my employer wants me to show proof that I am legally allowed to continue employment.
I've been for my biometrics appointment and am waiting for new card.
I heard that even though my card expires, I am still legally allowed to continue employment etc in the US.
Do I need to present proof or am I in the clear here?
Advice appreciated.

Absolutely.
I'm confused as to why the didn't stamp mine and tell me to make an info pass appointment to get it stamped.
Strange, but it is what it is I guess

I would recommend that you do that, because I don't think it would be a good idea to let it expire. As I said, in Houston the officer stamped my expiring card without even my asking for it. It was due to expire in November and my new card didn't arrive until December.
So they do stamp resident cards with an extension stamp?

At the biometrics appointment, my expiring card was endorsed as valid for an additional year from the date of the appointment.
I went for my biometrics appointment and I was told I have to make a info pass appointment to get my extension stamp. :-/

Just had my biometrics appointment and was told I need to make an info pass appointment to get my extension stamp while my I90 is being processed.
My passport is expired and was wondering if they will stamp it or not?
Any advice is truly appreciated

About to renew my 10 resident card and can't for the life of me remember which service centre I sent it to and one question on the I90 renew form is asking where you sent it off.
I do know it was transferred to the VERMONT service centre.
Note, this was in 2004 that I filed for AOS so not usually one to remember that kinda thing. Will me not remembering where I sent it be cause for my application to be rejected?
Surely the USCIS know where I sent it off?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi all
So, just sending off my i-90 and was wondering if it's an interview or just a biometric visit?

Hi guys, im new here and was wanting to know a few things
Im married to my US spouse for 6 years and not sure what to do.
Tempting to renew my resident card. what checks do they do on a renewal? Is it more simplified than going for citizenship?
I know that when it is citizenship they want to know about EVERYTHING. What do they do for the 10 year renewal?
Whichever one is less hassle suits us better.

LPR travelling on closed loop cruise

I'm taking a trip to Mexico on a "closed loop cruise" and am wondering is it safe for LPR to travel in the current climate with regards to the Trump administration?
Will I have any issues returning to the US?
