Quick question for you guys.... what did it say before you received the "New Card is Being Produced" on the USCIS check status page?? Mine has been the same since we first applied and I'm getting anxious!

Estoy en la ultima fase de la visa k1. ya tengo el turno para el examen medico, el cual es el 19.

lo que deseo saber es si puedo ir enviando el packet3 sin el medical y llevarlo el dia de la entrevista, mas que nada para ir acelerando un poco el proceso.

Alguien sabe si puedo hacerlo asi?

Hola Diane79, nosotros mandamos el paquete antes de hacer el examen medico y lo aceptaron... Cuando mandas el paquete a la embajada, te dan una fecha para la entrevista y una lista de las cosas que falto y que tenes que completar y llevar a la entrevista.

Hmmm no se porque dice eso..... la EAD nos llego en Abril y la GC en Agosto.

Para nosotros tardo unos 6 meses... mandamos los papeles del AOS en Febrero y nos llego el Green Card en Agosto (sin la entrevista).

I should also add that I'm only 25 and was concerned that my age would make my means of support seem suspicious or something (since it comes from an inheritance and not my working in the past)... But it turns out I had nothing to worry about! Given that your fiancé has funds from retirement, I don't think you will have any problrms.

Hi, we aren't in the exact same situation but I can say that we were just approved for a K1 visa and the I-134 that I submitted included only assets and savings (no co-sponsor) as I am currently unemployed and living with my fiancé in Argentina. I think as long as your fiancé can prove support and has enough funds that you will be just fine!!

Hola chicos!! Les quería contar como nos fue en la entrevista... pero no hay mucho para contar!! Antes de ir, leí todo lo que dijo Lisandro Ezequiel del proceso de la entrevista (pagina 44), y la verdad no tengo mucho para añadir...

Tuvimos la entrevista el lunes 9 de septiembre, a las 9 de la mañana. Llegamos tipo 8:45 y nos dejaron entrar. El único problema que tuvimos (nunca recibimos un RFE, por suerte) es que en el packet 3 mandamos el certificado de nacimiento, no el acta de nacimiento. Pero no era una gran cosa, cuando fuimos a la entrevista llevamos el acta y lo entregamos ahí. No se olviden de llevar fotocopias del pasaporte y el acta, la mujer que tomo nuestros papeles nos quiso matar porque olvidamos hacer una copia del acta

Después de eso...esperamos un rato para pagar la visa (US$240, pagamos en pesos al cambio oficial - AR$1360)... En total eran 6 parejas para el K1/K3, y no se si fue solo ese día pero tardaron un montón en llamarnos para la entrevista, llegamos a las 9 y salimos tipo 12:15 (y fuimos la cuarta pareja en la cola). La entrevista... fácil, 10 minutos, nos hicieron preguntas básicas como donde nos conocimos, que planeamos hacer allá en EEUU, etc. Y nos aprobaron la visa!!!!

Muchas gracias a todos que me contestaron las preguntas y compartieron sus experiencias!! Si algo que dije no tiene sentido, avisame... soy la parte estadounidense de nuestra pareja, a veces me cuesta explicarme en castellano!!

Recibimos el NOA2 el 28 de Junio, el paquete 3 (de la embajada) un mes despues y lo entregamos el 12 de Agosto. 3 dias despues ya tuvimos la fecha de la entrevista! Todo fue bastante rapido despues del NOA2.

Hola Sol! Nosotros tambien estamos en una etapa de espera pero nosotros tenemos la suerte de estar juntos acá en Buenos Aires, menos mal... Tenemos la entrevista programada para el 9 de Septiembre y planeamos casarnos en Enero.. si todo sale bien!!

No te preocupes, ya te va a llegar alguna señal y despues todo va mas rapido

La semana pasada mi novio fue a pedir el certificado de antecedentes penales, "con excepción al articulo 51." Recién recibimos el certificado y queria saber... como sabemos si esta hecho "con excepción al articulo 51"? La unica referencia al articulo 51 dice: Art. 8 inciso f) Ley Nro. 22.117 Art. 51 C.P. (Modificado por Ley 23.057). Tiene que tener algún otro dato?

We had the same situation as you do guys. My husband (back then fiancé)had been living as a "tourist" in Argentina for 3 years by the time we filed the petition. The only difference is that he always kept his condo, which was being rented out, and that was the address we use in the form I-129F (you would have to use you parent's from what you're saying). Now, when it comes to the G-325A Form (Biographic Information) make sure that you complete "Applicant's residence for the last five years" with your Argentinean address. In that way, you are not lying about the fact you are in Argentina but you also completed the 129 form with the US address that they are requesting.

My husband had his own company and he was filing US taxes from Argentina during those year, I don't know how your situation is (working as a "tourist" in Argentina)... but I'm sure you know you have to show that you've been making certain amount of money to support you and your future husband/wife, and you need to send your tax returns from previous years. (read the guides, you can have you parents or someone as a co-sponsor if you don't meet the requirements).

Hola a todos! My fiance and I are preparing the i129 application for the K1 visa and I have a question, specific to Argentina. I am from the U.S. and am here in Argentina on a tourist visa. I have been living and working here since 2011 (with my fiance) although I am technically a tourist. I am SO confused about what to put as my address on the i129 and Biometric forms!!! If I am technically just a tourist here, then do I "live" in the US and should put my permanent address (my parents' house), or do I "live" in Argentina since I have spent more time here than in the US in the past 3 years?? Any advice will be much appreciated!!!
