Congrats.
Am also still waiting for the same visas (K1 and K2 for my sons) from the same embassy I was put in AP but its now 2 months. Did you present the Consent/custody order for your daughter and Single status letter to show youre single?
I will be grateful for your reply

Actually i made the simplest preparation ever. Just attached the forms they asked for, and affidafit of support with Ron's tax returns.. And i made a folder of our relationship in which i filed all his letters, greeting cards to me and my daughter, western union receipts, parcels sent and received, chat logs from facebook and from google (which she took her time to flip thru and read here and there), and one email logs page per month, and pics of us together. I have never been married and was not asked to prove that... And my daughter's father has never featured in her life so i was just asked if he had and i said no. So i asked the lady, what if he was relevant in her life? She said i would have needed his consent. So i didn't need any of that.

March 19th 2013, nairobi. I had the sweetest visa interview ever. The lady who interviewed me was polite and sweet. I didn't get asked anything tough. I had not slept the previous night, spinning questions in my mond.... Wasted anxiety... It was smooooth all the way. Awaiting visa after 2 days.
oh, it was K1 and K2 for my daughter.

I got my visa in Nairobi and traveled after one and half months. no problem at all. as long as your visa is still valid. And no, i did not encounter any of the horrors explained online... I entered thru Miami Florida and actually found a Ugandan origin immigration officer. I was carrying my xrays but no one even asked to see them. Now, one and half months later I have my green card even though i delayed in filing my AOS after marriage... so most of the horror stories told are really blown out of proportion. I overstayed my visa and still got my conditional green card without delays after filing. I didn't even have a green card interview. so chin up...leave when you are ready. just don't let the 6 months pass before you travel.
