  1. They started September interviews about July 28th. Maybe there are done with your country I don't know. I know Cambodia had to be announced and as u see they been waiting a while. All you can do is wait.

As far as case Complete I have seen many here have their dates moved. Maybe call again get a different person and get clarification.

Thank you, I called again and it seems that they somehow did review another document so we have case complete today...but they said that they're still scheduling for September so I still have a chance...fingers crossed!!

  2. Hi Dwheels, I'm a bit confused.....I got case complete on August 2nd and I just called the NVC now to see if I have an interview date for me. They said not yet and that my case was completed today!! (it's true that I got an e-mail with case complete today, but I've read here that's just what they do, they send the e-mail a week after case complete) I was very confused about that and she kept saying that we must have sent them more docs after August 2nd and that they review stuff every time they get it and give a new case complete date. But we haven't sent them anything since the middle of July! She said the case was not taken out of the line for interview dates but this is new date is still a bit worrying to me. Plus, since I understand they assign interview dates the first week of the month, I am now worried that I won't even get a September interview since it's the 9th now and still no interview date. What do you think of all this? thanks so much!

  4. depends on the load of embassy/consulate, my wife's case closed Friday 7/26/13 and received interview date on Monday 7/29/13 that was the very next business day but I think that is a bit rare. The consulate she is going to is Ciudad Juarez Mexico. Good luck and hope you get interview soon. I'd give it from 1 to 2 weeks.

wow that's really cool how your wife got the interview, although yes, probably very rare. thanks for your reply and all, I'm hoping it will be September and maybe not too late in :)

  5. Hello. My husband had the same thing: he needed quite few. He saw his doctor before hand and got most of them done before the medical at the embassy. It was cheaper than having them all done on the day of the medical and he was in less pain since he only needed one on the day of his medical at the embassy. If you don't have them done before it's no problem- they will give you what you need the day of the medical but just a suggestion that it may be easier on you and your money if you can have as many as possible before hand.

    Good luck!!

Thank you barbara360! It would be smart of me to get them before the medical then! thanks!

  6. Hi guys! Something is not clear to me about the vaccines for the med ex. I got my vaccine history from my doctor and it looks like I'm missing quite a few that are on the list of needed ones. What now? Do I just go to the med exam and they will decide which to give me or do I just go back to my doctor and get them done before my med exam? thanks a bunch!

  7. My reviews took 11 days but a checklist took 16 days. Of course the extra 5 days seemed like a lifetime and did make me miss the cut off for an August interview.

I know the feeling...I just needed one more document (had sent it the first time but it was incorrect...) and should have had case complete over a week ago...now still waiting...I think I would have gotten an August interview as well but really hoping for an early September one...good luck to you!

  8. Do you mean a checklist? I had to double check to see if what stage you were at because an RFE can be an indeterminate amount of time, but they only occur with the USCIS. A checklist at the NVC can take the 20 business days to review a checklist but generally only takes about 10. It goes to the document review department which is a bit different than the normal case review department.

Yes, sorry, I am in the NVC stage.and yes, I do mean a checklist ( dunno why I said RFE, got a but confused there, it's 1:30 am here haha) But so yeah, I know it goes to the DR not the other one, that's why I was keeping my fingers crossed it takes less time and they would have less correspondence I guess. Of course, on the phone they still tell you 20 days....Thanks NikiR.

  9. Well they are just creating confusion in everyone's mind. NVC is in mess due to AOS fiasco and they are delaying things at every stage, so I believe they are just sending out RFE's, in some cases it dosnt even make sense at all. People got case close and after 3 weeks again they are receiving new case complete date. There are cases where person signed with blue ink and was asked to send it again. its been 3 for him and no case complete yet. People were asked to send documents which they have already provided. So I believe 2 to 3 weeks for them to review RFE's and yet not sure if they will close the case and won't come up with another gimmick.

OMG all this sounds terrible. I hope to God you're wrong in my case :) Not sure what the AOS fiasco was, my husband's was approved with no problems. thanks for the reply

  10. We were so close to our case being closed and then got a checklist that the NVC is waiting for one of my police certificates (I lived abroad a year and had to get one). Unbelievable....I called and they said sending a copy would be alright so my husband fed ex-ed it. The NVC will receive it tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation before when they just had to (re)send one more doc, how long did it them them to review it and close the case? The operator just told me 10 to 15 days, which I find utterly ridiculous since they misplaced. Do they not review it once they get it? thanks!!!
