  1. My priority date is the 11th June. The date on the interview letter is 4th June. I spoke to the guys on that expensive info line and they told me that as long as they issue you with an interview date within your priority date you should be ok.He said I may have to get my fiancee to write another letter of intent to marry and date it accordingly. My medical was at the beginning of May so i'm ok with that situation.

  2. My Interview appointment letter came through today! This is of course amazing news and I couldn't be happier.

My question however is how long do the US embassy hold your passport after your interview is successful? If at all?

I actually need mine back straight away because I have to travel a couple of days after my interview date.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

  3. Magic! Thanks for your quick response! I actually just did a bit more digging and found most of this out. But I guess there's no silly questions here. :)

So my Fiancé' has only been in work for 6 months, and before that was unemployed/a student for a couple of years. Her Dad will be sponsoring me, but do they both still have to fill out the form.

    Many thanks!

    Floyd.

  4. Hi guys, this is my first post!

Myself and Adrienne received out NOA1 on July 27th so I'm hoping we are just weeks away from a decision. I'm in the process of getting together everything needed for the Interview, birth cert', police record etc. I'm wondering though if I will need the I864 because I've read some conflicting posts on here.

I've been on the London US embassy site and came across this:

What about the fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen who is applying for a fiancé(e) visa?

An I-864 is not required when applying for a fiancé(e) visa. An I-864 will be required at the time the fiancé(e) visa holder applies to adjust his or her status from nonimmigrant to conditional resident with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS).

Is this correct or has anyone been caught out at the interview for not having one?

Any info would be great :)

Keeping our fingers tightly crossed over the next couple of weeks!

    Cheers.

    Floyd.
