ok cool, Did they tell you it was going to be ready in the office on friday? how did you do it did you do it to go pick it up you called or schedule it to pick it up there?

No they didnt tell us it was going to be ready, when they approved my fiance they told him it would take a week, but thats what they tell everyone, i knew it would take less time. When we scheduled the interview, we chose to have have the visa delivered in juarez, after the interview i just kept checking online until thursday morning i saw we finally had the number to track it down through the DHL website, friday morning i checked and it was ready to be picked up. There are two dhl offices, when the taxi from the hotel picked us up i just told him to take us to the DHL, and when we got there they told us it was at the other DHL office. :/

I doesnt take that long, my fiance had the interview on a tuesday, and we were able to pick up the visa on friday! And crossed the same day!

Ours still hasnt arrived, mailed out since jun 17th! We had even done a report and said it would be mailed out again :/ We decided to schedule everything and fill out the forms, we are in juarez right now, my fiance has the interview this tuesday aug 6th. We arrived thursday and went to the information window and asked for a copy of the letter, they only asked my fiance for his name, didnt even asked for his passport!! And gave it to him right away! It makes me mad we could have done this weeks ago! And all for waiting for that letter

In my mailbox yesterday was not one but two letters from the American Consulate General's office in Ciudad Juarez! After repeated calls to the Consulate's office and being told they would send a new letter via DHL overnight and never received it here are two letters. One letter is dated July 3rd and the other letter is dated July 11th but they are both postmarked July 22nd. Something else they are not mailed from Ciudad Juarez but from the Consulate's P.O. box in El Paso, Texas. It appears to me they must print the letters and they are put in a box. Then maybe once a month someone drives from Ciudad Juarez across the border to El Paso and drops them off at the post office. The funny thing is I was expecting some type of fancy letter with official Consulate General seal, original signature, and maybe even a embossed security stamp. BUT NO it is a simple white 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper that was printed on a laser printer. It is not even signed! Nothing fancy but worth more than gold! We had all but given up on this letter as Elizabeth has her interview next Thursday (8/1/13) and was simply going to the information window at the Consulate's office to have them print her a letter. Great, this is one thing we can check off our list. Elizabeth flies from Mexico City to Ciudad Juarez on Monday, will do her medical on Tuesday morning, has her bio on Wednesday afternoon, and interview on Thursday at 7:30.

I think I will frame at least one copy of this letter!

That is great news!! i have a question, when you called the consulate did they tell you what date they mailed you the letter?? I was told ours was sent on June 17th, until today I have not received anything :/ Ive called the consulate sooo many times but they were no help! Each operator always said something different, this past saturday was the last time i called and the lady said we had to file a report and the letter would be sent out again, but i am not waiting another month! We have decided to ask for the letter at the consulate when we arrive in Juarez. I filled all the forms last night, we will be arriving to juarez next thursday hopefully getting the letter printed that same day, june 2nd his medical, 3rd fingerprints, and the interview is on the 6th! Hopefully we receive that letter before we leave!

Btw, yeah its confusing to understand why it taked so long to receive the letter, someone i met on facebook that is also doing the K1 process was told her letter was sent may 28th, her fiance received it june 28th with the date stamped of june 26th!

I had that problem too! I kept calling and asking if the received my case, one had said no and the next day i had called and they told me they received it 3 days before! About that letter, I dont know what to believe anymore.. A lot of people have told me we can go ask for it at the consulate, but when I called they said i have to wait for it, it can take from 4-6 weeks to arrive. Since I have 3 waiting for it she said i still have to wait :/ The lady said two months ago they were allowing that but now their policy had changed, but I still know of people who have gone to ask for it.

What do you mean by you did not put your Fiance's address. You had to. In the I-129F there is a section where it clearly asks for your fiance address in Mexico. I assume this is the address CDJ uses to send Packet 3... It they send some sort of notification too both addresses that would be a relief.

Nope we didnt put his adress, its a small town in mexico, they dont have street names. We put the city where he was born, and where he has been living the past 5 years but no actual adress, we put my adress instead so that I can receive it. I went to an office that does all this immigration stuff, and thats what the lady told me to put.

Not in our case, they said he wont be receiving anything, it will all be mailed to me. We didnt put his adress because we knew it would take a weeks for mail to arrive where he lives.

Hi there, can I get confirmation from you fellow members as to where Packet 3 is sent to? I am under the impression it gets sent to the beneficiary in the foreign country where the Consulate has the paperwork. I called the consulate and they stated that the packet was sent on the 17th of June. I then asked to what address it was sent and the rep. told me it was sent to my address (petitioner) here in the states. He did sound like he was doubtful though... Now why would packet 3 be sent to me when my fiancee is the one that will be needing that?

Anyhow, for those that have received Packet 3 already, where was it sent? In my case it has been 2 weeks and have not received nothing at either address.

I was told my letter/packet 3 was sent to me on June 17th also!!! Until now i havent received anything :/ i think its supposed to go to the beneficiary. But we put on there just my adress so that I can receive everything here in the US.

When I called that's all the the information they gave me, They received my case on June 3rd and I gave them a few days, called back on the 7th and they told me they had sent my case to Juarez on the 6th, They receive it in Juarez on the 11th! I called the consulate and they told me on june 17th they mailed me the packet 3/letter with the instructions. im still waiting to the letter to arrive :/

I only sent one letter for myself also..and just got approved on May 21st! I guess it depends on who works on your case.

I just got approved also!!! just a few days from being 4 months!!! I really didn't expect it!!

Omg..I still cant believe it. Im in shock!!! APPROVED!!!!!

I was just checking my phone, on visajourney checking igors list..went outside to park the car in the driveway and came back inside to find a text message saying to check my case online!!!!!

I couldn't even check it!! I was in tears!!!!! until I was able to calm down, and finally check my case:

How was the quality of the picture after you made it bigger?

What place did you go to do that?

The quality was good. I went to a place where they help you file all different kinds of apps for immigration. I think they just scanned it and resized it. I had gone to two different CVS to see if they could resize for passport size, and they told me I couldnt do that, that the person who needed the passport pictures had to take them in the store! I tried resizing them on my own at Walmart, and that didn't work out.

Aw man this stinks because I just recieved the pics my fiancé in Mexico sent me and this is our situation with the pic's size.

I was already planning on sending the I-129F in this week.

The size pics they gave him was after he told them he needed "passport pics".

I had the same situation!! When we went to get his passport pictures in Mexico the girl there asked us what size we wanted them, passport or "infantil" size( i dont know what that is used for) and I told her passport size, and she told me they don't do those there so his pictures were tiny!!! But the place I went to get help filing my paperwork were able to scan and print them to the correct size! Im sure you can resize them somewhere )

I was worried about that too...proof of ongoing relationship. It is not possible for me to make a trip from now until we get approved, so the only way we communicate is through phone calls, facebook messages, and text messages. We dont write to each other through mail because where he lives it would take days, i dont know maybe even weeks for him to receive a letter. I use a calling card sometimes and theres no way to prove those calls ive made, so the times i have called him directly i take a screen shot from my phone (iphone) and it shows the date, time and how long the call was. I put in my phonebook the number for the calling card that i always use, and take screen shots of those calls. I made sure to keep one of the cards just in case. I also take screen shots from a few messages between us two, just in case I need proof that there is still an ongoing relationship.

Actually the RFE has me scratching my head a little. I sent with my petition my own statement, photocopies of my boarding passes from two trips, and photocopy of my passport with stamp from 3 trips. Along with about a 6 photographs with us together. So I am wondering what else they would like have.....

I dont want to bug with the same thing again.. But maybe that is what they need. Letters from family memebers, friends stating you and your fiance know each other and have met.
