His mom has been very ill since my last visit, so it's a tough situation. We are trying to figure out timing since he has been taking care of her. Even just the option for him to come here and go back for a while is a huge, gigantic relief.

I'm sorry to hear about his mom. I guess the next question is... are YOU ready? :)

As best as I can be!

  2. I-601 waiver... APPROVED!

  3. Officially in RFE Response Review

  4. Mailing out the RFE on our 601 case tomorrow. Hopefully from here, it'll be quick and smooth sailing!

  5. I'm always surprised that in a forum where people are supposed to be helping each other, there's so much negativity. If people chose the side of positivity, the world could actually change for the better.

Wishful thinking (oops, think positively) you are right but again it's reality of life. I tell myself if life would be so easy & rosy then it wouldn't be life. Again, with so much negativity, maybe when there is something positive, it's just so much better. And I guess that what makes the world go around. Anyways, I think ultimately you have to do and not give a number two about others. Hope I make sense. Good luck & best wishes! :)

Fortunately, I wasn't annoyed at a response to something I started. But I don't see why people have to be so un-constructive. I mean, people are here for support and not a $hit storm.

  6. Congrats, girl! No need to pull out the, please give me a visa, it's almost my birthday, line!

LOL Thank you!! Actually when the CO told him to come back next Tuesday to get the visa, he asked her which date next Tuesday was. When she asked why, he told her that I wanted him home before my birthday. I love that guy!

  7. As expected, even though we hoped they would look the other way, we move on to the waiver process. On the plus, the interview went very well. So a bittersweet day.

Hopefully no longer than 6 months. But it all depends on how quickly USCIS moves.

Yes, my husband had previously overstayed a visa.

  8. I couldn't not say something. It's upsetting to see people become so mean to each other in a forum where we are supposed to help and support. This whole process sucks, but I wish you the best.

  9. Thanks :) And you as well!
