Hi,
I do not think that 2.5 monts is a big movment so I don't expect retrogression. If may VB show cut-off date 01.03.2011 that will be movement 9 monts from the begining of the fiscal year - 01.10.2013 and that is not a big jump. Base on the previous years I think the movment for the fiscal year will be 16-17 monts
Tough topic but my two cents:
It is not the “illegals” alone that caused the problem and they are receiving an unfair share of the blame for the poor service many are getting from CSC.
The root of the service problem is the creation of the dream act which caused a flood of LEGAL APPLICATIONS to be sent into the centers which they were unprepared for.
But let’s go back to the real root cause…I watched the video from the OP BUT the next thing to ask is how did we get into this situation for so many? The answer is that we as a country did not uphold the laws already on the books that deal with illegal entry. There is no way that someone should be able to get away with making the US their home by breaking a law the minute they step on the ground (well except maybe asylum). While I feel bad for the kids that have been here for years like the dream act identifies, the truth is that no one should be able to be included in the covered group. If they are not legally here, they should not be able to attend PUBLICLY FUNDED schools as they should have gone through deportation before they ever reached school age for that matter. I feel the same way in regard to private schools no matter the fees paid. I am all for immigration BUT there is laws governing the process that must be followed and penalties if you don’t.
For the parents OR adult that brought the kids over, they should have already been deported and placed on a ban. For the kids, I don’t think a ban would apply as it was not their fault as the OP stated, but they should have already been deported back to where they live long BEFORE the US could be called their home. One could say that the fault belongs on the original illegal adult which is true but the fault is equal on the US for letting them get away with it for so many years which is why the need for the advent of the dream act for those that feel the US is their only home.
People are irritated because they feel like the DACA applicants are getting priority and they are already in the U.S. while people are waiting on their love ones to come into the U.S. and they have been waiting for a very long time. This is the problem that is occuring. The DACA applicants should not be receiving priority and they are already in the U.S. with their love ones.
