  1. Hello all!

My wife move to the US in April. We were married in May. We've filed our adjustment of status (i765,i485). She was approved to work. We received a letter about a week ago stating that based off our submitted documentation that we'll qualify to have our interview waived.

My question is, until my wife's green card is approved, what is her official US status? Fiancé visas expire after 90 days so hers has been expired since July. What would she be classified as? She's not a US citizen yet so I was just wondering what we'd list her current status as?

  2. Hello,

My wife came to the US in April, we were married in May. Currently I work in MA but have been offered a better job with a sign-on bonus that in FL that will be great for us. We have not yet submitted our AOS paperwork. I want to move to FL with my wife but I've heard that you shouldn't leave the state that your spouse moves to when they enter the US for at least 3 months. Is this accurate? I've had a lot of bills I've had to deal with since I came back with her to the US so I haven't filed the AOS yet. If we moved to FL, the bonus would cover the AOS and that would be great for us. Otherwise, I can stay here and just pay the AOS amount with my current salary.

Basically, I would like some clarity on the "3month rule". Can we move to another state during the first 3 months?

    Thank you all so kindly!

  3. Interview was 4/3/13, and approved. CFO was done 4/4/13, plane tickets for 4/11/13. Requested Passport/VISA to be delivered to MOA for pick up. Lets pray to GOD it makes it before we need to leave. I couldn't afford another flight, and can't have anymore time off work. I work 4/15/13.

    Thoughts?

We had our interview on 4/1/13. Got approved. CFO course complete but must go back for sticker once Visa is received. Our flight is booked for 11:45pm on 4/10/13. We selected to have the visa sent to a 2go office where we'd pick it up. There's no sign of it at the moment and we're very concerned. More than likely going to have to reschedule the flight now. The destination where we selected is only minutes away from the embassy, yet they can't get it there in a timely manner. Very frustrated. I know they say you shouldn't book a flight until after you have Visa in hand but with how costly and time consuming this all is, it's difficult to wait on that. The ticket prices fluctuate so much that if you can get a somewhat reasonable deal, you kind of have to jump at it. A week later and indication is that it hasn't left the embassy yet.

  4. Hello,

My fiancée and I will be departing Manila for the US on 4/10. I know of the 550p terminal fee (unless that's increased from my last visit) but I've also heard of a 1000p fee for her. Does this 1000p fee apply to us and also are there any other airport fees I should be aware of? I won't be staying past 21 days this time so I can at least avoid that fee. Thank you all kindly

  5. Hi everyone

I'll be flying out on Sunday (3/24) to Manila. My fiancee and I will be having our interview on 4/1. I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing anything before I leave the US.

    I-134

    Letter from Employer

    Paycheck stubs

    Bank statements

    W-2

    1040

    IRS Tax Transcript

    Yahoo/Skype logs

    Vonage phone call logs

All the DS forms filled out

    Emails

Printed up wedding information for where we'll wed

    Receipts for gifts

Letters from my family showing support for our marriage

    WU receipts

    Copy of K1 visa package

Printout of our first meeting (we met on a website that I own)

    Birth Certificate

I think that's everything in my binder other than my proofs of having met. Is there anything I'm missing?

  6. Thank you for your assistance Tahoma and everyone else who responded!

We now have an interview date of April 1st :)

I'll be arriving in Manila on March 26th

She printed up the confirmation emails for the online appointment booking so now she can do the medical.

    I'm very happy right now

  7. Thank you everyone, you're all so kind

My fiancee will be paying the Application fee at BPI in a few hours and hopefully able to schedule an interview 4 hours later. I hear it's better to schedule it online rather than via phone but I'm not sure.

A question about the medical exam. I see this as the requirements:

    Regular Immigrants and K-Visa Applicants

    Valid passport

Photocopy of Passport Biographic/Data Page, the page in the passport that contains the applicant's photo and information

3 pieces recent 2x2 visa photos (2 for submission to the U.S. Embassy, 1 for clinic file)

The US Embassy requires you to bring the 2x2 photos for your visa issuance. We regret not to release the medical report until such time that you can provide this requirement.

Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available,

2 photocopies of your Appointment Letter/ Instruction Letter

Applicants are also required to provide the name, address and contact number of their petitioner in the U.S.A.

The visa photos and passport aren't an issue. But I see it asks for an Appointment/Instruction letter from the embassy. If we register using the online method for the interview, would we receive an email that would essentially be the Appointment letter and in turn act as the Appointment letter they're asking for at the medical exam? I ask because I hear the embassy is very slow with sending out things to people and I don't want a situation where we've scheduled an interview but don't have what's necessary to complete the medical exam causing issues.

  8. Our NOA1 was August 3rd. We received our NOA2 on February 21st. The wait felt like forever and it was very frustrating at times as you see some people who filed after you get approved and wonder what's the hold up. But just keep checking in on the USCIS website, it'll come soon. And the way things are going for us and from what I've heard from others, things move very quickly after receiving NOA2. This is the longest wait of the whole process, each day brings you closer to completion. Once you get NOA2, it won't be much longer til you're together. Hang in there buddy

  9. Thank you for the replies, you all are wonderful :)

We've got everything on that link Tahoma which is great. My fiancee will be paying the Application fee at BPI in the morning. I was unaware about the CFO situation. When exactly should this be done? I see that it's a 2hr seminar. The sticker is provided at the end of the seminar correct? Judging by the way things look, We'll need to have the Visa already for us to do the Seminar as it asks for visa info I've noticed on the registration. So this is something we'd do after the interview? Just trying to avoid any form of delays.

    Thanks everyone!

  10. yes u have to pay the visa fee to BPI and you could schedule interview.. Visa fee is not $350 but $240...

I'm glad you brought up the pricing, I've seen some discrepancy with the price. Some things say $240 and others say $350. Basically, some docs from US say it's $240 but then the Philippines is telling me it's $350.

  11. Hello all,

I received my NOA2 letter on Feb. 21st. I called NVC to try an obtain an MNL number/Release date from them but wasn't successful in obtaining that information until today. Honestly, I was surprised they had it. They had told me it could take well over a month for them to have that information for me, so to have it this quickly makes me very happy.

They gave me the MNL number and told me that it was sent to the Philippines Embassy on March 8th. Now that I have this info, I was wondering if you vets could provide some clarity on the next steps. Some of the guides I've seen say to basically wait 8 days or so from the date of when it was sent to the Embassy (In this case it'd be March 16th) and try to schedule an interview at UltraVisaDocs (Non Immigrant). If it allows me, my fiancee can pay the BPI fee ($350.00) and get her medical exam taken care of at St. Lukes in Manila.

    Is this the correct setup?

  12. Hello all,

On the form I-134, under section 7, it states:

"I derive an annual income of:"

Towards the end of 2012, I changed positions at my company and am making significantly more than I did in 2012. I know it's said that you should always give them the current but I just want to be completely sure. Should I be listing essentially my currently weekly wage x 52 weeks and entering that number? Or should I list what I made in 2012? I believe the answer is the current and thus I should list what I expect to make this year based off of my current wage.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!
