My wife is coming back tomorrow. Hopefully, there won't be any trouble while she's entering back in USA. I mean her green card doesn't expire for another full month. I just want the bloody NOA1 on hand. After that see if I care if this takes a year or two or three.
Oh I completely understand the frustration. My sister went back last year during her ROC process was taking place and was able to get in without any issues, her green card was expiring in 3 weeks time.

They still haven't cashed my check.
I sent my packet on 14-JAN and they received it on 16-JAN. Today is 22-JAN. Still no cashing of check or NOA. What should I do? You guys keep telling me to just sit tight. But how long? Did anyone get their checked cashed who sent/uscis received their packet on the 14th, 15th, or 16th?
It will probably be cashed in 2 days time, as yesterday was a federal holiday. Mine was cashed in 5 business days.

I just did my ROC packet a week ago. I received my NOA1 in 4 days. I did not include affidavits as it seemed unnecessary, this is our first marriage. Our finances, insurances and IDs are closely tied on paper.
Just make sure to keep your NOA1 and GC with you when you travel. We are on the same boat, husband and I are travelling during my GC expiration period, luckily for me, someone can send my GC overseas if it arrives during the months we are away.
Hopefully, you get your biometrics done before leaving USA.
Here is what I included in my packet:
• Copy of USCIS mailer
• Copy of the green card of immigrant spouse
• Copy of joint income tax return for 2011
• Copies of xxx Credit Card statements showing joint responsibility
• Copies of xxx Checking Account statements showing joint ownership, account where immigrant spouse's paychecks are deposited directly
• Copies of xxx checking statements showing joint ownership
• Copy of our health, as well as dental and vision insurance cards
• Copy of our dental and vision insurance bills (xxx) showing joint policy
• Copy of our health bills (xxx) showing joint policy
• Copy of our itinerary on 20xx-20xx for xxx Air Airlines, for a trip from USA to xxx
• Copy of our boarding pass on xxx
• Copy of our receipts under both our names, for a 2 day layover in xxx on our way back to the USA, where we decided to leave the airport and stay and go sightseeing in xxx
• Copy of our xxx Community College student IDs where we go to school together
• Copy of our xxx and xxx bills showing the same address
• Copy of school bills reflecting our address in xxx
• Copy of bank letter from xxx reflecting joint account ownership
• Copy of credit cards under joint ownership
• Album picture of our trips and family celebrations

I hope that I receive my biometrics letter soon, so I can do an early walk-in. My husband (petitioner) and I (beneficiary) already have tickets booked overseas, so he can resume his studies abroad, and I really want to accompany him on his journey. I'll be back well within the 12 month requirement for GC holders, but I really don't want my husband to go through the stress of going through the education red-tape, as well as getting shelter, transportation, and such, in order all by himself.
Please please no RFE!

Recieved NOA1 yeasterday
Just waiting on my Biometrics appointment letter. Hopefully comes without any RFE's.The question I have is does the 'year' (for the extension) start when you get the letter or a year from your conditional expiration date?
I'm waiting for my NOA1 still.... My personal check was cleared just this morning (freaked out in delight getting $590 poorer).

Hi guys, I checked the USCIS website and my status was updated with the tracking number for USPS! This is a nice feature, unlike the last time, I checked the mail twice a day to make sure I didn't overlook anything.
