  1. Looks like they are transferring February cases now too. I just checked and mine has been transferred as of today (08/19/15). I hope not, but I bet we can expect a second bio soon.

Second bio? :o I really hope you are wrong. I will be out of the country next month for like 2 weeks, everything is already booked and I can not change our plans. I'm just sick of dealing with this guys, the whole immigration process is so sloooooowwww ... ok, we wait, but to make me go for a second bio is such a joke and waste of time! :ranting:

  2. Hi everyone, I just got an e-mail from USCIS:

On August 19, 2015, your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EAC1509XXXXXX, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by September 18, 2015, please go towww.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice.

So, did they moved our case to California, or to the local office for an interview? Is this a good thing (faster) or not really?

  3. I sent additional evidences 3 months after NOA, hoping I won't get an RFE! I'm a VSC Feb filer, so I should have some response in October ... either approval or RFE.

Here is what I wrote on the cover page:

    .........

    Dear Immigration Services Officer,

Enclosed please find a copy of my I-751 Receipt Notice with additional supporting documentation.

    This documentation is as follows:

    ........

In my opinion, they DO expect you to list the content of the package. They like everything to be neat and organized.

  4. Hi guys, I thought that Feb filers are going thru Biometrics in March, but Vermont are running late again (what a surprise). I will be out of the country for 10 days, starting April 7th. What should I do, to make sure I won't miss my appointment. Should I call USCIS in advance? If I don't receive the letter on time and miss the appointment, am I gonna get a new date, or I'll be in trouble for not showing up? Thank you for your help!

  5. Hello everyone! I can't believe I'm here again, but I'm so ready for this! I only have one concern: I presume they somehow messed up my dates on my GC! I sent my AOS package Feb,2013 and I got my GC in May,2013, but on the GC also says that is valid from Feb,2013 till Feb,2015 ... so I guess I'm applying few months earlier?! Oh well, don't mind

I'm planning to send my ROC around Nov,15th.

Good luck to all of us!

  6. Hey all, my green card interview is tomorrow, in Baltimore, and I was wondering if they stop you taking in anything with electronics in for example cellphone/ipod.

I ask as I know such items are restricted from the London US embassy, and don't want any holdups should we need to store our electronics back in our car?

Not only we were able to take our cell phones inside the building, but we were able even to use them while waiting. Some other people even talked on the phones! I checked us in Facebook and took some pictures with the phone! laughing.gif

  7. The IO was a very nice man, he welcomed us with a smile and made me feel very calm and relaxed. Our interview was around 1 hour long! It didn't start in a good way ... my husband had 2 previous marriages and got his green card and citizenship with the second one. He had to answer lots of questions about his past, like: How did you meet your first/ second wife; when and how did you decide to get married; what went wrong, the divorces, etc.
Then IO asked just a couple of questions about our marriage now: how we met and how long we lived together before the marriage.
Then he ask to see if we had any joint accounts. I brought the whole house with us :) He was very impressed with the way I organized all the documents. I was pulling them out one by one with explanation what is what, and this made him so happy! He mentioned that all the others before me, just landed their pile of papers in front of him and he had to look for himself what's what.
He didn't want to see everything, as we had lots of documents, so I should him:
Two checking bank accounts with the two debit cards
Two credit cards accounts with the cards
    Medical insurance
    Life insurance
    Car insurance
    Tax returns from 2012
All of this jointly ... then he stopped me and asked for photos. We brought an album with around 100 photos. He saw only few and made me choose 10 of them from different events, that he can keep in my file.
He took our ID's and all 4 credit/debit cards and left the room to make copies of them. When he returned, he explained me about the ROC, asked me the YES/NO questions and then he said "he will suggest our case for approval" and we should have an answer within 120 days.An hour after the interview I received bunch of text messages and emails that we are approved!
Now I can finally start thinking about something else, like finding a job, traveling with hubby to Europe and meeting the parents! Yayyyy dancin5hr.gif
  8. Can you tell me what kind of documentation you presented? Were they your past I-94's, or visa stamps etc...?

The reason I ask is that I am in the same boat myself. I have been in the U.S. since 1998, first for school and then work. Since 2001, I have been on an H-1B visa, with multiple extensions while my employment based I-485 was in process. So, I have several I-797A (I-94) documents (due to extensions). I am now filing an FB application.

As gingin 603 said, bring absolutely everything you have! I also have long history in USA: J1, H2B, B2, F1 ... with total of 7 extensions! I'll bring all of them with me, so I can show them proofs of legal status.
