I was petitioned for a K1 Visa last year, got approved however when I was about to schedule my interview by October 2013, I decided to back out because my relationship with my now- ex-fiance was unbearable with all his cheating and I felt that I would be living a lie if I still go through the whole K1 Visa process.
So I ended up being single again and working overseas now in an Offshore vessel, my question is, will my past K1 Petition create an impact if ever I apply for the required C1/D or Transit Visa for Filipino Seafarers in case my ship goes to the U.S.? Do I need to call the Manila US Embassy? Please help me.

Outstanding! You are an exception to the rules... lucky.
Now onward to USEM!! (after a stop at NVC)
Thanks lol
Your link for the NVC is really helpful. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed Hank!

Hello everyone, just an update, our application got approved!

My I-129F has just been approved last July 29, 2013.
Congratulations to everyone who got approved too!

Pictures are a requirement for I-129f Packet... I remember having to send at least 5 photos of my wife and I together with names of the people/location in the picture. You already have one person who posted telling you they got denied due to lack of photo evidence. It would be folly imo to move forward with the process until a proper packet with photos can be made. It's a very expensive and time consuming process going thru K1. Knowing that your fiancee proposed to you in PI I would have protected that SD card with my life... Backing up the photos would've have only taken a few minutes... I guess that's a lesson learned. Is rapidvisa even willing to make the packet for your fiance even without the pictures??? Uh-Oh..... Wow you might want to call USCIS and explain to them your situation. Even cancel the check for the I-129F processing fee... if it hasn't already been cashed.
They still processed the application without pictures! They did not even bothered suggesting him to have our pictures taken again by going back here!
I am really upset with their lack of concern to customers. With all the guides and good help from you guys out here,I was able to fill out the forms
without their help. My fiance was the one who picked them.

Hi everyone, my fiance signed up with rapidvisa two weeks ago, got all our documents sent out yesterday and rapidvisa sent out our application today.
TX Lockbox should receive it by the 31st.
-
As of 2:30PM manila time, Rapidvisa has already sent out the K1 Packet to the TX Lockbox Facility.
My fiance just left the US for a job assignment today and rapidvisa asked him about the absence of our pictures, yet still they
sent the application. What saddens me is their lack of explanation to my fiance regarding the possibilities of our situation.
I would have appreciated if they suggested to him if he could go visit me again for the picture taking because he believes that
it's ridiculous that we won't get approved just bec we didn't have 'em even if I already raised him the fact that I sought advices here in VJ.
I have learned so much here in Visajourney and could only hope that our relationship can withstand the consequences of this K1 process due to our
lack of photos taken when he was here 3 weeks ago.

This is the I-129F petition process, interview is about 6 months later, just the same pictures of them together are listed as required evidence.
Thank you very much for all the replies. I already discussed everything here with my fiance however he still decided to hire rapidvisa and undergo the filing process, now I guess
we will both wait for the rfe or denial of his petition. He mailed the paperworks to rapidvisa last Friday and they should get it today. I am only hoping that he will listen to
any instructions from rapidvisa guys if they suggest that he really needs to come back here again for the pictures.
I have no problem in waiting for him,I am a very patient person.
I could wait for a longer period of time as long as I know we are doing the K1 process the right way.
I am just worried about his "pending" disappointment, waste of time and money.
Again, I am really thankful for the explanations you have given me.

Did any of your friends or family take any pictures of you two together? If not you really need to include them in your gatherings next time he visits (which he will most likely need to do since you will be given an RFE or outright denied since you have no evidence now). Always make time to take photos when you are together and include friends and family when you are out. Also do your best to get pictures that are not just staged or posed. Simple candid shots of you and your fiance doing things together are the best.
Please do your best to let him know that he is likely just throwing away the filing fee if he continues without evidence. A denial at this point will be costly.
Unluckily none ;( George and I really need to talk about this since he already paid rapidvisa to help us with the paperwork too. I just wish he can find time to go back here in Manila just to take pictures before it's too late, right?
-
just listen to them coz I was like your probs last year
we got denied last aug bcoz of we cannot provide the pictures
as a proof of evidence that you meet and see each other physically
passport stamp is not enough uscis or consulate will not know if he really visit you or
other woman..
to sum this up, ask you fiance to go back here in Philippines
buy camera or cellphone
get take some pictures with date on that
different places, different clothes
then fly back in US then file K1
sure will be there in less than 1 year
Goodluck!
hi, thank you for your response, I already told George about this and he still wants to proceed. I am really bothered with our situation and had been blaming myself because I never knew how important pictures were until I saw posts here in VJ. I just hope I can convince him to come back here and have pictures taken again and have both copies. This is truly a big lesson for us.

well i think this is a good sign you and your bf will have more time to know each other, and you will have time to prepare yourself mentally on leaving the country, your family and friends ..i honestly believe the consul will approve your case smoothly if you have been together at least 1 yr, then filed for k1, they will not have much reason to doubt that your relationship is genuine. just keep on reading things here in visajourney so you will know what you need and just ask if you have questions..people here are very helpful
yup i noticed that, i guess il just have to wait... thanks so much.
-
any pic of u and him together is great you should take some on ur cellphone maybe, in different locations, and always record what place that picture was taken from and the date it was taken...so when u prepare your papers everything is complete (receipt of hotel, restaurants, his plane ticket here)
we have all those evidences except for the photos
-
Always email pictures. Send them to yourself. That way even if you delete the email from your inbox, you still have a copy in your outbox. In the digital age there are too many ways to save this information to avoid the headache of not having crucial evidence. I don't know if this will help the OP, but maybe someone else reading will take the hint to have mutliple copies of any pictures you take together.
thanks, i do realized that now.
well i am thinking because if u just show the boarding pass and plane ticket that he visit you in the philippines, the consul wont have enough evidence to see that it was you who your fiancee visited, the pictures really play a great role on this part. maybe he can visit you again .. they want proof that you guys met at least once.
thank you macadamias, i already asked him if he can schedule to go back here again but he said it'squite impossible due to his work.

you really need pictures, maybe there are some on your facebook or email?
no, we didn't upload them because he said he will upload them when he get back home.
does he need an affidavit or something to explain why we dont have pix together?
-
Hi everyone, I have been wanting to seek your advices on our K1 petition's probability of approval or rejection.
1. We met through an online dating site last September.
2. He visited here in Manila last January 5th till January 11th , he proposed and I said yes.
3. However all our pictures were on his SD Card and he lost his phone. I don't have a copy and I never expected that we will get engaged,
and upon seeing the k1 requirements , pictures of us together are needed. Now I am very anxious because we dont have any pix available?
We really love each other and is there any other way to prove to them that we have a real relationship?
Thank you for taking time reading our situation and any advice will be very helpful .
Cancelled K1 Visa Interview
in Philippines
Posted
Thank you responding Hank, it's been awhile since I last visited this site. I didn't contact the embassy, I decided to walk away even if I already paid the interview fee, it doesnt really matter though, I'm just glad that I didn't go through the interview process, now my ex-fiance had been emailing me, threatening me to write the US Embassy that I deceived him for applying K1 Visa and that he wants my passport and any future US visa application that I would be required since I need the Transit Visa for Seafarers denied. I am upset with how he blackmails me when we both know that he was the one who hurt me and I just decided to end it by walking away from everything, even gave up the chance of living the American dream because I cannot share it with his immaturity and silly games.
I hope you're right Hank, so that I can push through my Transit Visa once my company assigns me to a US bound vessel.
