NOA2 approval!!!
On to the next step!!!
Thank you God! Gracias Dios!

Vaya con Dios amigo, y saludos a la hermosa familia!!
Man, that's the truth. This week flew by. I was teaching a class on the Python programming language (5 full days). With readjusting the material I had originally made, trying out code examples and trying to get them perfect, I was working literally from 4:30 AM to midnight every day. It totally kept my mind off VJ (and pretty much everything else except my lovely fiancee and my little dude). Now I am on my way south of the equator . Two whole weeks where I will probably forget all about you people (sorry). See y'all on the flip side

I do wish you well on your trip to see your family.
However ... I do question your right to whine afterwards. If you see your family, those rights are revoked, at least temporarily.
Have a great trip!
I'm going down to Peru to be with my fiancee and my son for a couple of weeks, so I won't be taking any action until May or so. But soon it will be my turn to whine

Hey, great to see a new pic!
Remember to keep the faith!!
Juan Enrique
PS: You are now "senior member" on VJ!
Don't be fooled. There has been no significant change at CSC. They appear to have gone backwards this week. Grrrrr.
PS. Yes, I know this is from Igor's List...

Hey, pacacuti,
Great idea to write our representatives. The squeaky wheel and all that. Would you be willing to copy me on your correspondence so I can use it as a boiler plate for my own letter?
Thank you for keeping us on the edge!
I think we have shown ad nauseam that this does NOT appear to be some seasonal or cyclical shift. Something much more significant is happening. Let me add some personal anecdotal evidence that goes along with the graphs BayAreaGuy posted. My NOA1 date is 11/30. Today marks day number 100 for me. In those 100 days, the graphs on Igor's list for CSC K1 processing are essentially the same as they were the day I got my NOA1. There has been no apparent progress in the 100 days that I have been sitting here. And there doesn't seem to be any indication that this will change any time soon.
The K1 visa was designed to unite families without having to undergo a long wait period. USCIS was mandated by law to fulfill that mission. They are failing at that mission. They provide no information about their processes nor about our specific cases. They are acting as if they are unaccountable. As if they are somehow above the law. This is why I will be writing my congress critters and the DHS ombudsman this weekend and I encourage everyone else to do the same. This is inexcusable.

Congratulations!!!! Wish you the best in the process. Thank you also for the good wishes
All of us need to keep the faith.
Guys, I got my expedited NOA2 approved today. I hope you all don't have to wait too long until you are in the same boat. I will update you all as much as I can about how the process goes from here - thinking of you all and sending tons of positive vibes to each of you!

Congratulations and thank you for taking the time to write down the interview process. I think it really helps all of us who are still waiting for that blessed day!
All the best,
Hello guys! I had my interview a few hours ago and I came here to share my experience.
It was at the U.S Embassy in Athens Greece and honestly, I thought it'd be much more stressful and harder.
I'm copy pasting the review I submitted.
I arrived there at 8:25am for an 8:30 appointment. I saw around 30 people waiting before me and I knew it'd be a long wait. After the security check where I had to give them my phone and a USB I had with me, I went to another room and a woman gave me a number and told me to wait until someone called me. I waited for about an hour before I saw my number flashing. I entered a small room with a chair and across me (glass between) there was a woman sitting. She spoke to me in Greek (no American accent), so I figured she was Greek. I gave her my passport, 2 photos, the DS-forms, birth certificate and visa payment receipt. ( I have already submitted the I-134 with my initial petition).
I waited a bit and when she came back, she gave me the X-ray results and told me to keep it and have it at POE with me.
She only asked 3-4 questions and she was writing them down:
-How many times have you been to the US?
-On what Visa?
-How did you meet your fiancé?
-Will this be your first marriage?
I asked her if she wanted to see evidence of ongoing relationship, and she said no.
Then she told me to wait outside until my number is called again so I can go for fingerprints and then talk with the consular officer so he can decide.
I also gave her my phone number so they'd call me and tell me to come and pick up my Visa.
I waited for about another hour, then simply went for fingerprints and about 20min later, my number flashed again and I entered the same room.
This time, a U.S officer was there and the woman that interviewed me before, was standing besides him.
We agreed to speak in English and he proceeded to ask me pretty much the same questions:
-How did you meet?
-Where is he working?
-Where does he live?
-Do you plan to live there (area) when you move?
And that was it. He was very friendly and the whole thing didn't take more than 3minutes. Once again, no recent evidence of ongoing relationship was asked from me. While he was interviewing me, he was looking at the photos we had submitted with our I-129F petition.
I was kinda bummed out that he didn't wanna see my evidence, because I had arranged them in a nice folder, with chronological order, starting with boarding passes, photos with captions, phone call screenshots, messages, cards/letter, facebook evidence and such. Anyways.
He said that we were done and I should expect a call from them later this week, to come pick up my passport and visa. So I asked him: '' Are we going to find out if we're approved by the end of the week?'' and he replied: ''No, you're already approved''.
I smiled and told him to have a great day.

Hey, I just discovered that one can register an email and cell on USCIS!
Check out....

To think that when we started it was the other way around

If there ever was a reason to expedite, that is certainly a big one. Good luck and do keep us informed.
All the best
My husband-to-be got orders for a deployment, not to a war zone but to Japan that starts in July...we're hoping that USCIS will grant us an expedite. He's making the phone call tomorrow...keeping my fingers and toes and everything else crossed, otherwise with the normal processing times I don't know how we're going to scrape in before we'd have to be in Japan.
I'll let you all know how it goes...

My hairdresser told me today that his parents have finally gotten their consulate interview, Obviously they are not K-1 but just to put our wait in perspective it took over 3 years!
So remember that it is always darkest just before the dawn.
Or as the Sage says, "God please grant me patience.... and grant RIGHT NOW"
All the best to all....

I am glad to hear from you. It seems our group has been very silent lately.
I am doing fine and inpatient as I am sure we all are.
They say patience is a virtue so I doing my best to be virtuous!

First one in the group to receive a NOA2, buys the first round!

Let me humbly suggest that perhaps you meant surrender instead of give up. There is nothing more powerful we can do than surrender and turn it over to a higher power.
All the best...
i give up on waiting for the noa2. its been 6 months and 4 days of waiting. its so frustrating for waiting, like it will not come anymore. we dont know whats going with uscis. its not making since the july filer that behind our filing date is approved already but us did not hear anything... so depressed and frustrated. i think i will not wait for that noa2 anymore.whose july filer there that same noa1 with us...

Congratulations. I pray your husband can get it all together soon! Keep us informed!!
Just when I'd finally resigned myself to not seeing anything for another month or two...
"On January 26, 2013, your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was approved."
(squealing in delight)
Now on to harassing my husband to get his stuff together for NVC...

I just saw the post by Gary entitled K1 useful information. He had dinner with one of the UCIS officials. Off the cuff, great information. Just the kind of stuff you would have asked if he was at dinner with you.
Thank you Gary - he is the host for the VJ site. Great job!
Highly recommended for all...
-
Good for you! Congratulations....
After waiting around 5 months and 10 days I finally got the NOA2!!! So excited. I am an August 2012 filer! Just updated my timeline too
November 2012 filers
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
We had our Embassy interview in Costa Rica on July 30th. The only additional thing they requested was a transcript, from the IRS, of my 2012 tax return. So we are waiting for that now.
Congratulations to all the November filers on their successful application!
I love the Snoopy Dance idea. Congratulations once again and again and again.
