  1. You need to wait her passport. if she can get a passport then let her go to internet cafe to scan the first page of her passport and send it to you. NVC don't need the original passport they only need a photocopy . Original passport needed in Medical and Interview.

  2. as long as you chose the week processing it cost 1,500.00PHP if i was not wrong. You can pick it up with in a week . They will not delivered the passport you must to pick it up personally. File your passport in the nearest DFA in your area. same processing if you will do it in manila. They have two options if you pay less you can get it with in a month. if you will pay more you can get it with in a week. Go for it and Good Luck!!!!

  3. you can get a passport with in a week but, you pay more and its better than paying less and it takes a month. Just comply DFA requirements like authenticated birth certificate, NBI, or school record SSS/GSIS ID . If you have 2 any of those requirements then go quick and file it.. then make a photocopy of the first page of your passport for your DS-230.

  4. Picture is number 1 requirements during the interview as a proof of your relationship. Then engagement ring and receipt. thats what the asked from me during my interview. Try to find a picture even just 2 or 3 pictures of yours and him and pictures with your family and him.

  5. Authenticated birth certificate, SSS or GSIS ID, NBI, school record can be used in getting a passport. Act right away before its too late. Its not good to undergo an interview without a passport. If you have that documents you can get a passport with in a week no matter if you will pay more as long as you can have it before the interview.

  6. In my case when i was interviewed as fiancee i have the copy of my original authenticated birth certificate from NSO, divorce decree, picture both of us and picture of both of us together with my family and my only daughter as a proof that we see each other and know each other and my family as well. The consular officer asked me that documents and he compared it to the documents that my fiancee submitted to them. Picture is number 1 proof and engagement ring as well. Let your fiancee bring that documents during the interview ( your fiancee Birth certificate not yours.)

  7. It happened to me in my marriage. My husband change my Middle name from father family name to mother maiden name. In our Marriage Report I used my Mother maiden name even in my SSN and in my GC. When i Renew my Philippine Passport in Chicago the Philippine Vice Consul did not allow me to change my middle name from father family name to mother maiden name for the reason that I am a Filipino Citizen not an American Citizen. So, I used the family name of my father. Now, for safe travel anywhere the Philippine Vice Consul issued me a CERTIFICATION that Name bearing the mother maiden name and the father family name " ARE ONE AND THE SAME PERSON " In short I have 2 Middle Name. My Philippine Passport Middle Name is from my father and My Green Card Middle Name is from my Mother. . Its up to you if you will change your name in other documents but not in Philippine Passport. No Problem if you are an American Citizen... GO FOR IT...

  8. My wife has her green card and will be going for her 10 year gc this year. Her daughter had been given a K2 and due to bad advice from our 'former' attorney, she lost that right. We then had no recourse but to file for the I130 and she was under 21 at the time. She's now 22 and we're still waiting to see what the outcome of this is. Was 6 months processing time then 10 now it's said to be 15.1 months (CA) we live in WI. Anyway, will there be any problems with us foregoing the I130 and bringing her here under a student visa? She's in London now going to school but wants to come to America to study. Thanks for any help!! Marc and Rosie

It takes 3 years . its a long process for her. if your wife filed under 21 then she will be interviewed after her 24th birthday . Same for my daughter i filed I-130 under 21 year 2008 and she was interviewed on September 21, 2011 after her 24th birthday on Sept. 13, 2011. she flew November, 2011..

  9. What "other" child? There's only one child OP is referring to.

Its very rare for a mother to be DNA tested against her child. I don't think they will be asked to.

Does the child already have an NSO birth certificate?

Yes, he has all the documents needed. She don't file yet the I-130 for she's waiting the passport and Ids from Philippines if in case the embassy will required it.
