Lorna and I were introduced to each other by my cousin and his filipina wife Lea in early 2004. We wrote each other in longhand and were in love by August of 2004 and met in Singapore that December. My proposal was accepted the first evening of my one-week stay. We were comfortable with one another; it was as if we had known each other for a long time. It was the best week of my life. Lorna had to return to the Philippines to straighten out her documentation before we could apply for the K-1 visa, and that took quite a while so I visited her for six weeks in the summer of 2005. We lived in the apartment we had rented in Parang, Marikina City. I got along well with family and relatives. We had a wonderful time together. Hopefully the visa process will be complete and we can be joined in marriage by the end of 2005.
