  1. Whooop! Just checked online today and apparently our Green Card was approved/mailed out on 11th August! We received our Interview Waiver Letter on 5th May, and had originally filed in the middle of January!!

I think it went to the Texas office, although we moved during the process to Chicago, so I'm not sure where it was finally processed! Good luck to everyone else though!!

    HAPPY DAYS!

  2. So, we just had our interview at the US Embassy in Paris last week.

We were approved and they told us the Passport would be sent to Washington (where exactyly??) and then once it comes back to the Embassy in Paris they will send it to us in the Courier envelope we provided. Where is our passport likely to be? And will we be affected?

Our wedding is in three and a half weeks and we need that passport back ASAP.

  3. Hi - just posted this in France forum too - so there isn't actually anything in the Packet Three that you need to send back, which you can't download? I know that when we got an RFE there was this gold top page included, that we had to send back with our response.

I mean, is it possible to just send the forms that we've prepared (DS-2001 - DS-230) around the right time and hope that they just cross in the post? We filed in December and we really need our interview date within the next 6 weeks.

  5. Hi

I've been checking other France visa timelines and it looks usual for cases to arrive at Paris Consulate in only 3-5 days after being shipped from NVC... should I be worried??

This probably also sounds silly, but my Fiance says that everyone in France seems to go on vacation in August... do you think they might be a short staffed at Paris at the moment?

Thanks - just so want this to be over now!!

  6. Thanks!

We had a NOA1 of December 18th and were transferred to TSC in the first round on May 24th. We also had an RFE on 1st July - so it has taken a while! But very happy! Yeah, I'll be interested to see if I hear anything back from our Congressman.

The last time I contacted them they didn't seem to care too much - but I told them how long we'd been waiting (no of days) and about our wedding arrangements so maybe that gave them a little kick to make a phone call?! Who knows...

My thought was that I just wanted to pre-empt the delay as much as possible, so it can't hurt to do the same with yours!!

  7. Hi all

Just wanted to let people know, that we are a Texas Transfer with a NOA2 date of 16th July and we just received the email saying we've already been shipped to NVC - 24th July!!!

    I am soo ecstatic!

We did email our congressman yesterday, but I am not sure they would have had time to even read it, let alone action it yesterday!

So happy that our wedding might finally happen as planned and that we'll get this Visa before we leave!!

    Thanks all!

    Good Luck!!!

  8. APPROVE US TODAY PLEASE TEXAS!! We have a NOA1 date of December 18th, were in the first bunch who got transferred, finally got an RFE email on 1st July, didn't receive the hard copy until 6th July and then due to international mailing waits, they stated they didn't receive it back until 11th July... but we're still waiting for a response!! Come on... do something Amazing TSC!!

Then we can get on the NVC waiting train with our original bunch of transfers like we should be! This journey has been sooo tough...

Anyone else still waiting on RFE approval?

  9. I'll be interested to see if there are any more of these updates today?? I hope it's good news. it sounds like good news.

We haven't even been approved yet and I've just sent a complaint to the ombudsman to make enquiries about this hold up. We personally have about 6 weeks for our case to get to the Embassy before we can kiss goodbye to the K1 visa and will be having to start again with the CR1!

People definitely need to keep pestering their representatives, someone needs to find out what's going on - 'the squeaky wheel' and all that!
